Brook Trout (Salvelinus fontinalis) Fishing With My Son - Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia - May 2024

My son wanted to do a little brook trout aka speckled trout (Salvelinus fontinalis) fishing, so we headed out to the Beaver Bank River to cast a line. This river intersects with many lakes in its journey. This portion runs into to some nice stills where the fish grab food flowing from the river.
The May flies were present along with a large population of black flies. The fish were definitely there as they were rolling for them. Sadly we only had the spinner worm combo on this one.
It was a beautiful evening and we did manage to catch same. I hope you enjoyed the video.
