Ice Fishing With Family on Gillis Lake & Incoming Major Winter Storm

Hayden was itching to get out ice fishing so we headed to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia spend time with my brother. Ultimately we wanted to fish in various places but sadly that did not happen. We all went to Gillis Lake where my brother has had success catching rainbow trout, white perch, yellow perch minus speckled trout. We got in and set up and my son immediately had luck. Unfortunately, I got more sick as the day progressed my drive to fish and focus was not there. My son had a great time and he caught numerous fish even with me down and out. We were comfy in the fish hut with the diesel heater running. It was a rough drive back to my brothers due to my health and the storm setting in but we made it. We were socked in for 2 days due to the storm and I was laid up in bed. Sadly it didn't go as planned but I hope you enjoy what I did capture.
