Hammock Camping on a Stream with My Dog and Cooking a Great Meal

- Well, Shadow my Aussiedoodle and I decided to hike in and hammock camp along the stream. I love this spot and the tranquility it offers. I have spent many hours in this particular patch of woods and have always wanted to camp at this location. This area is full of wildlife, including black bears, whitetail deer, beaver, skunk, raccoon, coyote, fox, mink, owls, red squirrels, porcupines, and more. It was a fun hike into the location and Shadow was in his glory as he loves adventure. I made an awesome chicken soup along with a side of bannock. I love my Self Reliance hammock accompanied by my Little Shop of Hammocks Underquilt. We had a nice warm long fire and prepared a delicious chicken soup on the Jetboil. We eventually snuggled down in the hammock being serenaded by the owls. We both had a great sleep and woke refreshed, enjoying a morning cup of coffee.

Awesome, a Shadow cam view!! I've been wanting to do this with Otis...just can't figure it out yet. Quite the amazing camp and meal with a trusty companion! Excellent stuff!!

Wow!!! Love the camera on Shadow. That was fun to watch. Oh man, the hammock. I got a good laugh at myself, as I watched you maneuver around in it. I have a daughter that uses a hammock setup , and offered me its' use on one of my outings. Sweet!!! I got it all set-up, leaned back into it, and that damn thing flipped me quicker than you can flip a flapjack. The weather wasn't bad, so I spent the night under my tarp. Not sure which hurt worse, my back or my pride. 😂
Oh, I hear you on that. We had one little mishap. We didn’t flip it, but we kind of went sideways overnight, but once I fixed that we were all good, but it is comfy sleeping in a hammock.
