I had the Genesis version of Star Trek: TNG. I enjoyed it a lot. Only part I didn't like was the space combat. Also had DS9 for the SNES. Thought it was okay, but didn't enjoy it as much.

I enjoyed the team editing where I created the 1927 and 1960 Yankees and more. Also there is the option for auto play to just watch the games played by the created teams. First played this in 1993.

This game will never lose its value and its age. This will always be my childhood 😢z

Could not get into the SNES version at all. Pointing and clicking everywhere just to open doors and pick things up or fuckin doing anything....is stupid. Who thought that would be fun? But on Genesis ShadowRun is truly something spectacular to behold. One of the only if not the only Genesis game that truly feels alive. I dont know how they did it. But it's so immersive you kinda feel like you're there. I didn't even feel that in games like Final Fantasy 1-12 or any other RPG. ShadowRun is absolutely one of the greatest RPG's of all time. I don't play the table top game....but this game is nearly perfect in every way.

Parallel Worlds wasn't made for "hardcore Zelda fans," it was made for emulator users who had save states and cheats. It's a game that, unlike every SNES game, is aware you have save states and cheats, and is actively fighting you despite those "advantages." It kind of turns them against you. It's not meant to be played straight (e.g. on a flashcart on a real SNES). That's just silly. However, there is a second version of Parallel Worlds that is meant to be played fairly. I haven't messed with it. If you ever revisit Zelda romhacks, you should also talk about the Randomizer.

Tunic deserves a mention, but came out after this video was made. However, Fez could be mentioned in a bit of a stretch, especially as this video leans toward harder games with puzzles

Man i loved and played the shit out of Live 95 on my Sega. Its def one of my favorite games but id still put NBA live ahead of it. That game was like a cultural movement for a couple years Pre Playstation

There's a game I personally would rank as worse than the SNES version of Pit Fighter. SNES Last Action Hero. I've made it further in SNES Pit Fighter than in that game. In Pit Fighter I've at least gotten to the third or fourth opponent. I've never gotten past the first level of Last Action Hero.

Found this on a bootleg game compilation and man, it's nice how well they captured the vibe of the TV show on a 16-bit console.

The main problems are that the game needed more to it and a battery backup. There's almost nothing at all on the overworld map outside of a few levels that open up. The little town thing is the only hub or village type location in the entire game. The only saving grace was when this was an on the shelf game it was one of the reduced cost games. Like 30% cheaper or whatever it was. I seriously doubt there was ever any hype for it though.

There are games you can look at without knowing what system they were on and guess that system every single time. This is an SNES looking game if I've ever seen one. The character details, colors, and special effects are all textbook SNES flair. I've never played or even seen this game before right now, but I'm going to grab it and go play it on my Steam Deck right now.
