A young man ( late teens or early 20s) smashed into me last summer. I was driving the speed limit, heard a roaring coming up behind me. I kept thinking he was going to go in the EMPTY lane next to me & go around....nope. smashed into me& my kids, going about 90mph. My van went air born, spun & landed. He pushed the back of my van in. The glass exploded inward. Thankfully we all walked away but it was so traumatizing. Young men in general think they're invisible & are speed demons. The kid that hit me clearly wasn't looking going that fast. There's no need for it. They drive huge vehicles most of the time too. Just like this kid, the kid that hit me was driving a huge Tahoe. So many lives are lost bc of this bs. I'm praying for the victims families & this young lady. I know the trauma that comes after. I couldn't drive for Months bc I'd shake in fear.

I live in the town this happened in. Our police are fantastic at doing their jobs right, and following protocol is like second nature to them all in the force. I want to send them all a bunch of fresh donuts to thank them for being such awesome officers. Give me the opportunity to show them how much they are appreciated by the people around them.
