- BURIEN, Wash. - King County is taking steps to contain a homeless camp that for the past month has been encroaching on activities at a courthouse in Burien.
On Thursday, fencing went up around the tents that are spread out across a parking lot that serves King County District Court in Burien. The encampment is made up of about 30 tents. It is unclear how many people are actually living at the location at the corner of 6th Ave SW and SW 149th St.

Trump 2024 !
I hope everyone see's this! They refuse help.
The city has a policing budget of 16million dollars. If the Sheriff will not police the area it is up to the city to take some of that money and LEGALLY use it to secure the safety of the city. It is the city manager's job to spend that money on private police or even just removal of criminal campers. Amazon has been hiring private police for several years to take up the slack of the sheriff's department maybe its time Burien does the same.
Dude had a teardrop 😂😂😂
Scary shit man he looks like he done time
ALL the tent campers should be made to work for the free stuff they get. I don't care if it is only to scrub the sidewalks with a tooth brush, MAKE THEM
DO SOMETHING for everything they get or, get the hell out of our State, or Camp out on the Capital grounds, or move next door to King Inslee, etc.
How fucking sadistic you are. Lost your soul? Or sold it?
Sadistic fuck
Christian nation my ass
why making certain drugs lawful isn't helpful but harmful
How about some dumpster and porta johns to go with the fences.
Are you gonna pay for the dumpster?
That's how animals are treated.
how is that?
then they can stop acting like animals and accept the free help the pastor offered to live like people again!
@@nightcritterzthe pastor is a conduit if god and Jesus? And what did Jesus do for the poor and sick? Or have you actually read the New Testament?
Aren’t they animals? Most of them the drugs they are doing, makes them zombies. they never work they eat anything they get they only get handouts and they’re happy isn’t that an animal?
Tents can be placed in unused open parking lots thus reducing the amount of disturbing encampments throughout the cities with these types of unwanted ones.
Portable toilets
Portable hand washing stands
Fenced for security of these tenants
One entrance
One exit
Guarded using tax payer’s dollars
It’s really not a complicated matter BURIEN!
I will fight legally to have a case, tried in a different county for that because I want safety around the courthouse
Have you ever truly talked with a homeless person? It’s an addiction when you get everything free and live in the open air. It’s an addiction. Getting those people to work is impossible. I do understand some people have been robbed at the opportunity of housing and that’s all they need to get going again. Why is our state so slow?
maybe time to question why there are very little to no so-called homeless in the 3rd world, or developing
nations, and why is this phenomenon pretty much 'only' in the West.
the answer lies in the fact that it's 'not permitted' to make that 'choice' to become a bum; those governments make it very difficult to live on the street, those governments do 'not' hand out free money to do with what they want, those governments mandate if you want to eat you 'gotta' work, and lastly serious punishment for those who use illegal drugs...
Well....the city has a policing budget of 16million dollars...time to setup their own police department....
Maybe get to Gates home or Bezos or just go to all in big tech that did this to you, ask them for help.
Burien doesn't want homeless camps. WTF?
🤣😅🤣😅 Fence now, then the food trucks, then travel size bathrooms with showers...hey this sounds like Transform Burien. 🤣😅
Opportunities? Right
Yeah, they get minimum wage up to 15 now they’re pushing for 20 and we still have people on the street that do not wanna work will not work and refuse to work because they have live for free and getting everything for free. If you stop helping them, they will be forced to get a job.
It's sad the way homeless people are treated those are human beings that have had tragedy in their lives they feel hopeless and abandoned by society do you think they wanted to be on drugs and homeless tragic circumstances put them there voters poor choices put them there pharmaceutical companies put them there the majority of Americans are one paycheck away from being there attacking them and arresting them does not help compassion kindness understanding giving them hope that's what will help put yourself in their shoes is this the way you want to be treated look at all the destruction from all the storms those people are now homeless they went to bed having a home and they woke up with nothing without help they will be living on the streets feeling desperate and may turn to drugs to have that little bit of joy does that make them less human until you've been in their shoes you have no idea and you have no right to attack you should be ashamed of yourself
If you had a tragedy in your life and were homeless, would you live in a tent encampment like this?
they were offered help.....they refused
