- It’s the next step in the controversial case of the Seattle Police Department officer who appeared to joke about the death of a pedestrian caused by a fellow officer.
A hearing will determine the discipline for Daniel Auderer, the Seattle police union vice president heard on video allegedly mocking the death of Jaahnavi Kandula in January 2023. Kandula was a 23-year-old grad student killed when officer Kevin Dave hit her in a South Lake Union crosswalk while speeding nearly three times the legal limit as he responded to an overdose call.
Thursday marks the start of Auderer’s so-called Loudermill hearing, in which the officer can respond to the allegations.

Sadly in every way Seattle has become a complete joke......
Not really… you’re just fragile.
Nah sounds like you are since you chimed in...@@Prague1810
I can’t believe how quickly society or those in charge have changed in my life time or at least in the areas I have lived. I don’t know the history of Chicago or New York City but the society I thought I knew would have had zero tolerance for a “public servant” with this degree of sociopathology. Imagine what he’s done where he’s gotten by with it. The way he communicated his indifference has serious gravity and in the context, should have serious consequences.
KOMO Trash loves news like this. Whenever people are divided, KOMO is cashing in.
People want to hear what's going on, especially about issues they are passionate about. I guess that's their business.
He was speaking about how the law works
Which is part of the problem.
Leave our police be, they're been harrased too long
Whose police are they?
Who should the police be answerable to?
Delusional
He was alone talking in his car. It wasn't nice or professional but again he was alone in his car. It's not like he was making a public statement. So stupid
But revealing of an unacceptable pov, ffs.
@@user-jy3br3wj1dno. He’s the VP of the police union talking to the president of the police union over the radio. He’s a public servant not “some guy alone in his car.” FFS
No he is a police officer, talking about an investigation, with the union

When did laughing become a crime? Or making mean comments when did that become against the law....... Pretending that the city is not full of racism coming from angry Men roaming the streets...... If you're going to fire the police for anything fire them for not doing their job........ You think Cat Whiskers is going to save a woman from being attacked......
