Here the broadcast was interrupted due to bad weather, however during that time the commenters said that Sedlak scored once again in the EXACT same manner. I was expecting to check it out here like cmon. Maybe that goal is just rumors all along.

@@leto22cz We knew that it would be the first real competition for us. Like our sports commentator said before the game: "This will not be like meeting Finland".
Altough Sweden played bad against Finland and against all the b-nations in our group (yes, we won all of them but we did not dominate), Czechia was the first game where we knew we were up against real competition.
You should keep in mind that hockey isn´t as big of a sport anymore in Sweden like it was in the 1990-2010. We don´t have players like Sundin, Lidström and Forsberg anymore. Back then we had like 8-12 top-of-the-line NHL players in our national team every year. We don´t have those types of players in the NHL anymore.

And so on, i could name so many players, sweden is still on the top.

Congratz from Finland we were rooting for you Czechia what a game you put on it was a pleasure to watch, this just goes to prove time and time again that no matter how many NHL all star players you got, the win is never guaranteed.
It is pretty obvious Finland was cheering for the czechs, your country (in general) has such a minority complex some of your news outlets dont actually realize how pathetic and petty it is to make news articles trying to ridicule Sweden, especially after losing to Sweden and your coach (for good or bad) having a big outburst about it. (Not targetting you per se of course, but still)
I don't know why but swedes have been pretty bad when they have stacked team. Maybe coaching problem? Seems like for example finland has beaten then many times with just liiga players. This year it almost happened again

As a swede I'm of course saddened by today's game - but at the same time - I am happy that at least two European countries will be fighting for the gold medal. :) I'm rooting for the Czech Republic in the finals simply because they are the hosting country and I believe their fans deserve to experience a championship won. @@tntfreddan3138 the refs made more calls for the swedes than for the Czech. There was the elbow yes, but because it was out of play they haven't seen it, and they can't give a penalty afterward. Karlssons slash could have also resulted in a big penalty. Swedes lost too many pucks which directly lead to breakaways and goals.

A fantastic performance with a happy ending for the Czech Republic. 🤩 The Swedes lost for the first time in the match in the rournament and were unable to equalize. On the contrary, they conceded seven goals - just two fewer than in their entire group. Kudos to both teams. 🎉
But I can't forgive myself for one dig. There were several mistakes in the match: First, Gudas (CZE) gave clear bodycheck and referee ruled off for tripping. Then an elbow from the Czech attacker in the face of the Swede without noticing. Nonsensically whistled tripping where a SWE player goes down alone. Then not whistled possession (from CZE) and on th other side cutting a stick, slashing, trippiging near mantinel (from SWE). Simply, _zebra men_ are the weakest segment in the tournament.

I have a theory that being undefeated during group stage is not a good thing. Sweden never lost a game, they weren't even down a goal once, this was the first time they felt any form of pressure. A loss during group stage is a good way to find out what your weak point is, and what you need to improve on.

In hindsight though... Although the young Yanks, with 4 teenagers on the squad... looked good in the quarter finals... It seems like the pool Sweden was in may have been a tad weaker than the other one... I can't spell... but Swiss have Neidereiter, Fiala, Hischer, Roman Josi, yadda , yadda... Czechs, with their additions, were stacked... And Canada, young or not, is still Canada... All in the same pool...

They didnt call a 5min elbow, but swedes got four 2mins made ups and they ignored atleast 3 or more penalties swedes shouldve been given.

It WAS a tough game. I don't understand these people that say ez after difficult match. Yes, our guys played reallly well, but if Sweden would get a goal 3:1, it would probably go the other way around. In no way were we dominating the game like say USA against Kazachstan. So doing this gg ez shit is just ridiculous.
