I dont feel like the bricklink set is comparable to an actual lego set in the first place and on i also really believe that the set is so expensive because of the extreme detail in it and all the monsters included. The set has the most detail that i have ever seen in any lego set ever. I feel like the price is pretty justified.

I can feel there are factories in China already making the extensions. Is this a tower out of the box ? more like a stump, which is actually pretty disappointing.

I'm personally not really big on the mechs, but I like the pieces they come with. I like to think of mechs as "battle packs for cool pieces in colors you may not get in most sets." That 2x2 circular tile on the chest, the red grating on the thighs, those ever-useful ball and socket joints, etc: I can see a lot of potential using these pieces for rebel-themed MOCs, especially with a few of them.

The question is, does it have the Majestic Tiger piece?

Just a note on lore: the mountain range that Barad Dur is built on is not Mount Doom, it's a branch of the Ered Lithui ( ash mountains aka the northern of the two mountain ranges enclosing Mordor). Mount Doom is actually south east of Barad Dur across the plain of Gorgoroth

Your pronunciation of Barad-dûr was fine! Only thing is that it wasn't built on Mount Doom - that was the volcano behind the tower.

Barad-dur is supposed to be 1500 m tall. Orthanc is supposed to be 150 m tall. Obviously they cant really do that but orthanc to scale would be like 4 inches tall.

So glad they're still using the PJ/WB aesthetic. With the sale of LotR licensing we're getting so much low effort garbage that's Lord of the Rings in name only now
