When he was in the book store, it was a throwback to when force awakens came out, and he went shopping at target to prepare for the movie.
I was thinking the same thing...
my thoughts exactly, what a time that was

@@GlucoseYummy holy fuck 9 years?!?!?
Man, those cancelled buildable figures hurt my soul. I’ve known about them for a while but they look so fantastic, sucks they never got released
Hmmm seems like a lesson to be learned just because something might be bad doesn't mean something good will come from it. This is what happens when people complain about something all the time.
I remember them being leaked back in early 2018, and didn’t realise they were cancelled. It’s nice to have full scale quality images is nice.
Same here. I was so excited for th3m and they look so good!
It should have come with 1-2 mini figures at least for that price
After watching, it is a great book. But for $150, even with those extra items it is not worth it.
They literally gave paper and cardboard as an incentive.
@@TheRandompaintyeah people that buy books just hate paper!
Coffee table books are expensive.
Yeah it wouldn’t have been hard to throw in a retro Luke and Vader to make that toy fair invitation or something. This is just something to download the pdf for.
Can't believe how expensive this is for a book

That’s nothing once for school I had a book that cost 400 dollars, but thankfully I was able to borrow it from someone.
Closest thing I can think of is the “Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie” which is all of the early Star Wars concept art for the original trilogy, it is 200$ - 800 large pages and really 2 books
There's also the two volumes of The Star Wars Archives by Paul Duncan that are $200 each. They are huge oversized books that are both over 600 pages each the first one covering the original triology and the 2nd one covering the prequels. The book publisher also offers a much smaller cheaper version with a decreased page count of both the books for just $40.
@@MatthewFabbYes two trilogy books from Taschen. I hold both copies and they are massive books. 600+ pages and weighing around 8-9kg (20 pounds) each. A gigantic book that throws an impression and filled with in depth, behind the scene information. If that one costs 200 dollars, this book should certainly be less than 100 dollars
Holy crap I can not WAIT for this to come out so that I can never ever buy it and forget it exists… really don’t wanna spend over $100 on a book when I could buy more plastic shaped like spaceships.

For that price tag, I would've definitely wanted more behind the scenes/cancelled sets to be shown! Price wise, I think 100 at most would be acceptable! 😊
Instead of just instructions give us the pieces for them aswell
@@SeekerFNif they gave the parts to build you know it would be $500+ at least…. Don’t be silly. Coffee table books are expensive. Period. And they are generally great quality. And this is no different.
Bro I thought it was 40.00$ and I was annoying but 150.00 is straight up disgusting
The Author, Graham E. Hancock is also the current editor for the BLOCKS magazine, based in the UK and i've often enjoyed reading his articles. I'm glad they got someone so talented to write the book!
7:15 Idk if anyone would actually notice this, but this insert shot was just WAAAY Too Clean to not be pointed out or to be left unnoticed ✨👌😤 Love that shot!
You just made my day ❤
That's so cool that you made it into the book! Congrats!
Oh my, we are the same age seeing the clip of your old book review brings me back 😂
Super happy LEGO recognized David's MOC in the book. I am definitely going to pre-order. That said, I agree with David that for the $150 price tag, this should have included a more detailed timeline and an exclusive minifigure, and even an exclusive polybag build.
The lack of prototype sets/cancelled sets/figs in this book is devastating
When wil you post again?
Only people like you would get upset over this type of book lol.
Babu Frik moc was the best thing besides the clone/vader holograms and cancelled buildable figures
"Devastating" - get a grip ffs
Lifebricks please continue your streak of not uploading
It is $240 here in Australia. I've never known a book so expensive in my life - and I have an Engineering Maths book that is large enough to crush a person's head, which only cost me $110.
Awesome to see you made it in the book - your MOCs were some of the first I had seen and they are 🔥🔥🔥
So awesome to see that they included your MoC in the book. For some reason I feel super proud. What a ride it has been. I still remember when you started Kashyyk
Thank you for making this video bc I feel like I got all the enjoyment I needed from the product in a 26 min video and saved $150
lovely video, the book seems great, i hope they will release a book-only version one day. it was awesome seeing you go into the bookstore and i'm grateful you've shown most of the different chapters for those of us who can't read the book yet.
Great review. Amazing job on a balanced view in addition to what it means to you.
This channel definitely deserves more followers
Comic Omnibus can usually hit around that range depending on what comic collections you get. Those are typically massive collections though
Imho those are also overpriced 😂
seeing a Phillip Glass cameo randomly in the wild outisde of podcasts is always cool ahahahaha
congrats! you made it so far!
I got shivers seeing your Geonosis moc it there Wow. Congrats!
So awesome to see Geonosis included in the book
My boy Babu is a whole page! I’m blown away by that alone
Aww loved that first section.
I wasn’t going to get this book but your video has sold me. This is really cool especially those promos
literally clapping my hands 👏 👏 can’t believe you made the book!
Congratulations on having your own creative efforts on display in the book. What a nice surprise, and it's certainly worthy.
Thanks so much for going so thoroughly this set. Those "coffee table" books are usually a higher price point but I can see the license and extras driving up the price. Still a great bundle. I just focus on those hard cover books that focus on building techniques for LEGO. As a newer AFOL, I find the investment in those (via discounts on Amazon) more worth the value. Hope to get to the building skill level that you have. Congrats on getting your MOC in there - you're part of history man!
This book seems really cool! I love Lego prototypes, and even though there didn’t seem to be many images of them, the few new prototype images we did get make me really happy.
6:23 we’ll done man, that’s friggin awesome.that must feel good 👏
Dang didn’t expect this review so soon
6:34 bro that's soooo coool!!!!! Well earned.
congrats on making it in the book!
You could definitely sense the joy in your voice when you were thumbing through the book - it does look like an amazingly in-depth book and one that I would love to enjoy reading. Just a shame at that price it’s unlikely.
Thank you for being fair when critiques are needed but also being a positive force in the community because some other Lego CZcamsrs who I do like tend to be pretty negative sometimes which I just don’t think helps anyone.
Yeah, sure, as if blind fanboyism with no criticism helps anyone.
Congrats for making the cut into this book! That’s really cool! Hope you get a little something in exchange. About the price, yes it is expensive but it is in line with this type of books.
the asmr like opening was hype lol
Why can’t we get May 4th promos with a preorder of this super cool book? SMH
I asked LEGO about this. It’s because it’s published by a third-party, so it doesn’t qualify :/
@@JoshMathews17 it’s about Lego Star Wars and is sold by Lego, it should be eligible for Lego Star Wars promotional items but Lego is Lego as always
So very excited that our boy made it in the book!!!!!
Congratulations
Solid bricks officially in print!
Think the price is for collectors, the scarcity due to the off putting price will make it a good investment.
Congrats again, genuine affirmation for some of your life choices is probably priceless
Wow looks fantastic great design will save up for this one awesome vid 👍
Congrats on making it into the book! The book and goodies reminds me of the recently released Jurassic Park ultimate visual history book. On top of the concept art, it came with tons of extra stuff like park brochures, blueprints, and scripts
100% agree. This defo should’ve had an exclusive minifigure!
Lego had to send it so early just so M&R didn’t beat them to the review 😂😂
Happy to see David Hall return to wearing the flannels! 10/10
Can't wait to possibly see this at a Thrift store for almost 90 percent off 😂
12:23 - As an Aussie it's cool to see "Brickman" made it into the book!
I feel like this books price is LEGO basically saying “well we know our adult collectors already pay insane prices, might as well charge UCS prices for the book,” which I find insulting. The book itself looks fantastic, stunning piece for any long time fan
Nice they included yourself and other MOC builders but unless it wasn’t in there I wanted more prototypes. I’m quite disappointed in this book for not including more images but I look forward to maybe read in it one day idk mixed bag personally. Again congrats being in the book David.
That Zam design is pretty good though. I’d be all up for a remake of the Coruscant speeder chase set.
That OG Lego visual dictionary video was how I found your channel many moons ago
Definitely a book I will pick up
Great job 🎉🎉🎉
Fun fact: my copy of the original visual dictionary was a variant that didn't come with a minifigure. It was just the book.
Imagine this book is at a school book fair💀💀
I'm so glad we got people like you reviewing LEGO sets, or a book in this case, to let some of us have a better idea as to what we may be buying. Personally, I really find this book interesting but I think on it's own, it would be more appealing at a $50 price. I'm not really sure what LEGO were thinking when they put $150 as a price tag on this to be honest, even with this "deluxe edition". Let's hope they do a "peasant version" for a sane price. And congrats for getting your Geonosis MOC published in an official LEGO book David, that really is something else!
Youngling you is great, well done that little chap 🇬🇧👍
Haha I love your visit to the bookstore to find equivalently priced books. And there aren’t a lot. Really.
So please confirm…
Will this book be available separately for way less money?
I feel like everyone made review videos as kids.😂😂 But you actually made it a career 🔥🔥.
Honestly, this book is super cool. If I see it for 60-70 bucks I'd pick it up
Is it limited time or you can buy them at amazon or other stores etc? Also is your giveaways international?
The book looks soo cool.
On Sunday I’m going to the space centre Leicestershire to go to the starwars event. One of the major starwars character designers is going to be there. Happy may fourth for tomorrow it’s also my birthday tomorrow
Is this a limited quantity book like are they only making 5000 or if I wait a couple weeks to order it and I still gonna be able to get an order in?
In Australia we got the promo items, and vip points.
Will the book be a one time pre-order only exclusive run? Or will this be available for the rest of the year or beyond? Do you have any insight on that, because if they do just decide to release the book only later. I can see that time capsule stuff being worth quite the penny on the aftermarket.
Wouldve loved too see rich boy jays starkiller moc in the book too
Ther repos are prolly the only reason i might get it
Is this a limited production release or will it be widely available?
A wonderful book 😊
17:27.....any chance I got a mention in the animation section? Probably not? But maybe? 🤞
Your alive whaaaa
That visual dictionary was the first lego star wars book i ever got aswell
Is this a limited run or will it be available for minimum a year if not longer like how sets are ?
The search through B&N felt a bit like an episode of IASIP lol
My man made the best Mocs every and only had 1 page to show 1 of his Mocs
Man I’d kill to see a prototype of Padmes chrome ship
There are also amazing Star Wars Archive books that are $200 on the market. I’ve seen one in person and there is so much information and images in them and they are high quality products
im an artist and have many artbooks. art books tend to be more expensive and usually limited prints. $150 is reasonable for that kind of book
W book, shame the high price
he said it wouldnt be 5 months till the finale of genoisis and here we are
Definitely worth it
I do think as a high quality coffee table book the price isn’t entirely awful. It’s just not something the LEGO community is familiar with buying.
Yea, the amount of surprise that books can be expensive is kinda weird to me
i disagree with you, the price is outrageous, and it feels like lego is scamming us even with the extra features it comes with minus the actual book.
@@harrisonpilon than don't buy it :) it's correct that relatively the price is just fine, it's awful to you but pretty in line with what premium books go for
@@joshlyman7059 what would you consider a premium book? especially to justify a price like $150
@@harrisonpilon you can find special editions of famous books at that price with Google in a few seconds but one example would be the book in the video, or for example the edition of the silmarillion I have is over 200eur new atm
Those prices might be absurd to you but to plenty of ppl they make sense and to many of those ppl paying 200eur for plastic bricks is as absurd as paying it for a book is to you
First glance at this book in the leaks I thought nothing of it, But damn this is cool
I could buy a leather bound special edition signed copy of one of my favorite books from one of my favorite authors for the same price as this book.
MNR is gonna be so pissed that he's not the first 🤣
Genuinely surprised there wasn't a fig or anything actually lego in this.
Pretty neat. I wouldn't go out of the way to get it myself, but I definitely get the appeal it has for long-time collectors. Kind of a niche thing, so I can kind of understand the price point; the people this is marketed towards are people who are SUPER into lego SW and have been for a very long time(fans, actual fans who enjoy the theme, not "investors" who probably won't care about this because it doesn't come with some rare figure or something to sell later.)
@SolidBrixStudios This is not on the Canadian Lego website, do you know if it will be sold in Canada?
That the buildable figures of the B2 and 501st trooper were cancelled is a real shame. Imo figures with helmets or droids did fit best in this category
Wow, that 1999 toy fair replica thingey is super neat! Fun to think they still have the original graphics files to be able to reprint it. I hope nobody spent 5501 dollars on the original thing since the demand for it will go down exponentaly now
i wan to buy this amazing book , i think that will be fantastic to read all the information
When I went to a scholastic book fare, they had that first visual dictionary for $50! I was scammed as a kid 😂
I had this on my list. Had. I sincerely hope they will bring out the book solo, without all the flimflam, then I will buy it.
Thank you, you’ve just saved me £150!
Let's go! More ways to give lego most of my income! Just what I wanted
Mirko Soppelsa is also featured here. The greatest Star Wars MOC creator. Go get a book, its worth it.
I dont supose you have a pdf of that script, totaly didnt get an idea from what you said about stop motioning it lol
Better than I expected, but still very pricey tho.
I will probably get it. Really nice to see mocs from my friends in the book, No moc from Jhae is sad tho 😔
Agreed, his Starkiller MOC should've made it.
