I ordered the printed pads using the link in the description day 1 of this video being posted and my order has been stuck in "awaiting shipment" with zero communication from the seller despite my reaching out. Is this a sham website you're shilling? Where is their communication?
Its been a couple minutes and I'm still in shock..... I'm so glad you like it! I definitely recommend having a clear workspace and schedule if you want to do this mod, it is quite intense

I just realised this, the clone turbo tank from the advent calendar is in scale to the venator, so you could stick a couple in the hangar if you wanted to
I wonder if the instructions can be followed for a fresh build too not just modifications, so long as you buy the extra pieces
@@collectpanda3350 It would be a bit tricky, as for example you need a part from the second to last bag to build the frame, but if you just don't apply the large subassemblies to the frame as you build them it will make it much easier

I've built the gunship and it's so durable and playable with, it's just top notch +chefs kiss+
The printed pieces are almost better than the opening hanger bay. That 2002 gunship sticker b roll hit me personally lol

I couldn't even tell the difference between it with the hanger and without it when closed, a video comparing it to ships scale with it like mini republic shuttles separatist cruisers and such would be epic!

can you already build that in when you first build this moc or do you have to build it complete and then disamble?
This mod proves Lego could of done it if they had tried and I personally I would of preferred them to have done it. The set is still amazing but having more options would of been great for display.

I am sick and tired of their constant excuses and gaslighting honestly. And their stupid decisions all around.
But Lego is greedy, so they dont include cool Things like this. And people still buy everything they release no matter what ridiculous price tag
I’m so glad you did this video and gave the designer the attention he deserves! I discovered this mod the day after it was posted on Rebrickable, and I immediately bought the directions and ordered the pieces. The designer did update the directions, so do pay attention to that. I haven’t built my Venator yet, so I’ll be doing the modifications during the original build. I also bought a light kit from Light my Bricks and ordered extra lights to light the landing bay. Fortunately, I already have the printed pieces as I ordered them from another company. I can’t wait to build this beast. The final display will be on a top shelf, so the mods really aren’t necessary, but at least I know they are there. 😊

A LEGO set without “playability” isn’t a true LEGO set in my opinion. But this mod makes it playable…. Well done.

I haven’t watched your videos in years and I just remembered your channel this morning went and found it and man you have come along way.
I remember when you were building your earlier clone wars sets and watching your time lapses as a kid I would watch them for hours brought me so much joy!
Seeing the amount you have grown and the amount you have added to your Lego building aesthetically like the little plants and electronics and all the little tiny details you have perfected your craft and it’s so great to see your still going man!
Just wanted to show how much I appreciated you as a kid and even now as an adult I still had a great time watching this video keep it up!

i can tell its absolutely worth it. i bought the instructions for 5 bucks and got the needed pieces for another 40 bucks. all in all spending 45 dollars for this cool of a moc is better then lego could have ever done. 100% recommendation
also i got the venator on ebay for 220 dollars so i did only spend 265 dollars for this cool set with this amazing mod. i also added some minifig scale scenes under both of the back panels and added a bridge in the bridge tower, so guys i can tell you, this set can be fucking awsome

Love this. The only thing I probably would've done differently is made it the same width for the whole length to match the Venator hangar in the Clone Wars animated series. Then you'd have space for more detailing on the flooring.

One question regarding the iDisplay stand and Hangar Mod by ForgedInLego.
If i were to build the hangar mod, would i still be able to put the Venator on the 45° Degree Stand? Does it have the same Gap lengh from one stand leg to the other? @ForgedInLego
I have the 45 degree iDisplayit stand and it's great. I have the light kit but have been procrastinating with it.
Can you also do these kind of modification videos on other UCS sets, like the UCS Slave 1? I've always thought about moding the dark green semi-sphere's so that they actually have holes in them. Brick Vault did something like this, but never released any instructions.
Love the video not sure if would do the hang modification though. I did like seeing the pad printed replacement pieces they look 100 times better I just wish one day Lego would do this for these high dollar sets, especially after seeing that die hard Lego fans can do this it makes me wonder why Lego couldn’t even though they said they couldn’t because of the mold pin marks on the 6x6 tiles.

Are we getting tired? Me, definitely not. I'm waiting to pick mine up, along with the parts for this modification and the stand. The only change I'm also doing is changing it to grey and blue. I kind of want to do a Medical/Resupply fleet moc.

Crazy idea, what if you put the Venator on a really tall stand above your Geonosis MOC, so it’s like it’s way above the planet in space.
Lego stores also use that 45 degree angle stand

If I decide to buy another UCS Venator I might try this, but since I have a light my bricks kit in my current UCS Venator, I dare not try to mess with undoing all the wiring in fear I might break them. I plan on getting a second one anyway to make it a imperial era venator, or just go complete fantasy and make a 501st Clone Legion Venator and replace all the red tiles with blue ones.
saying that making the hangar open would impede structural integrity is pretty rich considering how stable the engines are in the back
For everyone asking, yes this is compatible with the light my bricks kit! Just be very careful to not disconnect any of the wires and just leave the wired panels dangling. It’s a bit tricky, but there is more than enough space to hide and conceal the wires while still building the hangar bay!

@@JQ_Productions so wie are now in a Point yeah who i Must say why the at at Gas an Full Interieur the millenium Falcon Gas a Full Interieur and Than come the worst of Lego the davastator und the Venator what is the f*cking Problem from the Lego group to an Interieur in the Star destoryers what's the difference to a ucs millennium facon and a venator, both are display models and the falcon still has a full interior, what's the point of something like that, it's just more cheeky and a money rip-off

Do the hangar doors open or shift while using the angled stand or keep they completly close? Also awesome to print those other pieces as well, sadly I already ordered the other ones like a week ago... well guess I have no other choice than to buy another venator for them... And with it another room to display it 😂
