I loved how this game went out of its way to prevent Quark's deaths from being shown. You know they happen through implications in the game itself, but his character is the only one that you never see directly. Makes sense since he's a child, but it goes to show that even this game isn't immune to censorship

I hope that one day they can break away from Nintendo and bring these games to like PlayStation or Xbox. The switch is holding the game back graphically and with performance. Can only imagine how great this game would look on PS5.

It’s nice to see some people see this game in a different light but I still think this was an awful sequel. Deux ex machina time teleporting capsules out of nowhere, MIND HACC and complex motives does not make a for a good narrative. Some of the elements Uchikoshi originally intended for Zero escale 3 can be found in this, but everything else feels too on the nose, unlike what was written for the previous entries. A number of sequences are phenomenal in isolation, but it’s really poorly put together. You ended the video by saying that you’re happy we got ZTD at all, but I’ll be really honest, sometimes I wish we actually didn’t. Because Kinu Nishimura didn’t return to do the art in this, I like to cope and think this isn’t canon and someday the actual third game will be put out…

I know this is spesifically about Akane, but I just wanted to say having finished Zero Time Dilemma today just how wild these characters are to stop, often right in the middle of a life threatening situation to discuss philosophy or tangential theoretical dilemmas. I don't know if it happened more in Zero Time Dilemma or the presentation of that game caused it to stand out more than it did during the previous escape room exploration, but it's seriously wild that these characters are actually dying and yet need to give a lengthy explanation on all the different probability calculations going into what's happening. Okay, with that rant over, I've loved being able to binge your videos on the topic, some really amazing deep dives into this series who's narrative is really mindbending.

I've played hundreds of games over the years at this point on multiple consoles, different platforms, of various qualities. Black and White and their sequels are my favorite games ever. I don't like it in ZTD where she gets called out for things in 999 or hypocrisy in some discussions she plays up an innocent act. How I see it if there's at least one timeline in ZTD where the virus gets out but she chooses to stay with Junpei to weather it out she's alright. If not then no I hate her and I doubt she and Junpei will work out in the long run.

I quit pokemon right before BW came out, everything I learned about the new games turned me off of the franchise. I came back to Pokemon years and years later-and I played Gen 5 for the first time. It’s now my favorite generation, and everything you shared in this video reminds me of why. Sometimes we don’t appreciate something until we revisit it at the right time

Akane is one of my favorite characters of all time, but GOD, did ZTD try its very best to make me question my love for her. It is such a disastrous portrayal of her character that I wipe it out from my mind every time I think of her.

If you think your Life is finally going in a good path after enduring shit over shit and then your loved one, your partner, your very soulmate, betrays you, shattering your heart and positive outlook on the future, it drives you mad, insane even. Your mind just stops working as it tries to grasp what happened. For me, luckily that woman didn't end herself, just cheated and blocked me on confrontation, a woman that just a week prior talked about marriage and raising kids with me. But for me, my entire world shattered into pieces, i finally found a space in life where i felt right, just to have it ripped to shreds by the very person i called my soulmate. It drove me insane and based on what the person who helped me through it said, i had some very serious scratch marks from myself on my face. (Maybe luckily my mind still blacks out every memory after the first 10 minutes to 2 hours later) But yes, such an Level on betrayal can cause some serious reactions (and permanent damage 😅)

My biggest issue with Future Redeemed is that it wasnt included in the base game and or released much closer to the original release. If youre a long time fan of the series, the base game is a good game on its own but doesnt really tell you anything you wanted to know while playing it. Future redeemed is basically everything the longtime fans were looking for in the base game. I say thats a wealness because i spent the 6-8 months after 3 thinking it was the wealest in the series and was left feeling a bit disappointed. Long time fans shouldn't have to feel that way after beating a game in the series.

Actually just finished Area Zero and honestly I wasn’t feeling Scarlet/Violet story before but Area Zero absolutely changed that. I loved the heading down as a group, the design of how beautiful the area looks, plus the reveal of the Professor being dead the whole time just completely blew me away. Honestly had felt this way about an ending since Xenoblade 2. It’s obviously not as impactful as Xenoblade 2, but for a Pokemon game it is just wow. 10/10 ending and really changed my opinion of S/V from just okay to great!
