Eh I don't hear gort. But I think I do hear another voice alongside vandam's near the end of the trailer. Him being able to fuse would make so much to take the party in, and teach them how, because he recognizes they can do it too.
honestly one of the biggest things I found from this trailer is the scary looking guy talking about "the passage of fate" which... does not have the best connotations in this series lol
I super hope that the fusion somehow allows them to take control of him and that's why the Oroborous looks like him

@@stupido-um4xo he or they seem amused by the fact fate has not smited them yet for their crimes and probably feel above the clock system for that reason.
@@ShadowSkyX all i know, since i have yet to play the second game so idk if they're even there, is that alvis is still one of the more...confusing things about this series to me

when people said that it might be a fusion between XC1 and XC2, i didn't expect it to be a legion fusion lol.

My theory is that the push back of BotW2 allowed Monolith to temporarily reallocate some of their staff to speed up development of XC3.

Honestly I thought the same thing too.
I'm pretty sure Monolithsoft has more than one team now to allow them to work on multiple projects with no compromises. Especially since all the hirings since Xenoblade 2 up until now.
My theory is that the game was basically finished, so they pushed it up to July in order to fill up the summer slot instead of Splatoon
@@FireFury190 This is true, Monolith Soft opened an office that dedicates to purely providing development support. My guess is that this is the one working on Breath of the Wild 2.

I think the transformations are meant to tie in to the Trinity Processor. Noah and Mio's form looks like the Bionis (Ontos). Eunie and Taion's form looks a lot like Pneuma. Lanz and Sena's form is hard to say, but it's pretty bulky, just like Logos or potentially Aion (which Logos Piloted). I think this is gonna be the big reveal in the later chapters.
I noticed the similarity to the Bionis one and strangely enough the proto-Bionis model since it originally had wings on its back and this one seems to as well. I'm so excited to see how all of these elements actually connect with the narrative.
Good take here.. I just wonder since at the end of 2 Pneuma's core is still intact so probably they will play a huge role in this one..
Lanz and sena's looks like amalthus, who was the driver of malos (logos)
The pairings are of a blade and human...except for taion and eunie. The core on their oriborous form is much lower than the others, whose core crystals have been shown on mio and sina's chest and mirror that in their fused forms. Meaning either eunie or taion is secretly a blade or perhaps a perfect flesh eater like jin.
Eunie's name being etched on...something might be a clue to that.
I make a joke tweet about xeno characters doing the fusion dance yesterday for no reason and then this…..I am a god.
"This is the passage of fate."
I heard a character mention the passage of fate in the trailer. That makes me wonder if these clocks that keep being mentioned are now directly tied to the passage of fate itself.
Yeah, it's hard to say for sure, but if the "they're just his fuel" from the last trailer wasn't what sold me on the Zanza vibes, then this surely does.
My guess is something like, after the Conduit disappeared there's a limited amount of energy from it left, so there's these clocks which regulate its use to try to keep it going as long as possible, but this also means it kills people after their time is up to avoid them using too much energy or something.
Doubt that evil Ouroboros is Gort. He's been dead for hundreds of years now. Does sound like him tho, so maybe same VA.
Gort was a failed experiment. Maybe whatever that is is a successful one?
Yeah, it's hard to say for sure since Vandham's VA seems to be returning for a new character. Then again, there's a ton of wacky crap going on in here, so it very well could be? Who knows lol?
@@KayJulers actually I have a better theory. there was a 4chan leak video the day before xenoblade 3 was announced, not only did it predict the direct day, the xenoblade 3 announcement, and that it was taking place after xenoblade 1 and 2 connecting the futures, but it said the party this time were reincarnations of some of the party members of both games, like shulk and rex, and then there were returning characters, and that mythra would return and that malos is now back but as part of mythra. if you pay attention to the way that thing talks and moves his arms, doesn't it remind you of malos? xD what if mythra is inside that thing and malos is in control or being controlled?
@@KayJulers czcams.com/video/95IjvxPJ8Yo/video.html found the leak for the direct back in febuary that had the xenoblade 3 plot stuff. this leak came out literally the day before the direct and noone really covered it on youtube except this person, ended up getting the announcement and date right and everything, wouldn't be surprised if everything was credible.
So if a Gnosis is a human breaking/refusing to join the Collective Unconcious...is Oroboros what happens when people are united in the want to refuse that fate?
So Gnosis are what happens when an individual separates and rejects the Collective Unconcious.
Oroborus is what happens when two or more people share a collective conscious towards their own personal goal?
Spot on. Also Orobos was a huge plot in Xenogears that involved the process of Reincarnation that Lahan and Eli = Adam and Eve. It was an the final boss in Xenogears I think. So it was speculated that these characters may have been reincarnated..
I suspect that Noah and Mío have a way to communicate with the imaginary number domain.
After seeing the fusions between pairs of characters, I wonder if it plays with you controlling one pair (maybe working like Torna's system) with the two other pairs (plus the occasional extra) controlled by AI. As in, there's six (or seven) but essentially three (or four).
That's the conclusion I've come to. There's a screenshot that shows what appear to be the "main" arts for your character on the right and some supplementary arts next to the "Interlink" icon. Noah's arts seem to occupy the right and Mio's look to be in the supporting role because of "Glow Ring", so I wouldn't be surprised if you could pick a lead for the pair, but they're essentially tied together.
So glad someone else agrees with me that the evil guy with the scary teeth reminds them of early Blade Eaters because that was my first thought.
It would be really cool to see the concept even further fleshed out!
Jung thought proper psychological development involved the union of opposites. The end goal of this was individuation, the complete combination of a person and their shadow. There are a lot of Jungian themes in this.
What is the shadow? The opposite?
@@Farre88 basically the opposite, but I think it's better to think of it as the complement, what you need to be whole. You need to combine the two to become one.

I don't know how to take the fusion thing except that visually it looks fantastic. Like, I wanted mech combat...but this? this I can get behind.
Also the combat UI looks slick as hell.
And if the fusion allows for greater character relationship building, I’m all for it!
@@KayJulers looks like fusion from dbz or astral chain, ALL THE YES!! if its formed through bonds, then it reminds me of biomerging to mega/ultimate from digimon tamers, but instead of digimon partner bond its a more relationship bond thing in xenoblade 3. looks amazing. also someone pointed out the first one of noah's fusion looks like a mech from xenogears. this is the kinda cool stuff I wanted steven universe fusions to be like but they were overall lame. I am looking forward to this.

@@infern24 if that’s the case then we could only hope for various forms between the playable characters. Personally i dont like the look a like visual of an EVA from evangelion, but the mechanic seems pretty good.

My crackpot theory is the 2 with the opposite red eyes are the 2 halves of the evil teeth mech and since it references what Zanza said about the passage of fate while holding mayneths monado in 1, the silver hair lady, Ethel is some evil incarnation of Galea or at least some kind of avatar for her like how Shulk was a host for Zanza.
Now that is a trailer! Soo happy they are releasing it 2 months earlier 🙏

Several years ago, I was surprised that XC2 made its December release date. Now here I am surprised that these mad lads moved the date closer. Monolith Soft are pure beasts.

There’s so far been 10 characters reveal will be part of the party, but only 6 on field at a time.
FYI, the 10 are the main 6, the 2 nopons, and then Zeon, and other girl
Edit: it’s 7 party members at once not 6
7 on the field at the time. seems like you'll always have access to the core party plus one more character.
There's multiple instances of 7 party members being on the screen during all the gameplay we've seen, with at least 3 different characters taking up the 7th slot

It's unclear if the other two who aren't the Nopon will even be sticking around with you or if they'll be guest party members. Maybe you'll always be sticking with the core 6 and then occasionally other people will be joining you before splitting their own path alone? Hard to say for sure yet.
@@lolmariolink I guess at those specific parts of the game the Nopons have not joined the party yet. Or maybe they are side characters all along this time.

The weird things look like fusions- blade things (one from each nation with their Counterpart probably some plot point about how they need to be together and there will Be a dungeon where the mechanic is blocked because the characters are angry with each other)

Each of the Driver-Blade pairings in XB2 was a metaphor for a different type of love. Wonder what the pairings actually uniting into one being in this game could be a metaphor for.

Something is up with Splatoon 3.
Its summer 2022 and june is packed with Things like Mario Soccer and now July has Xenoblade… also Fire Emblem 3 Hopes aswell but thats not developed by nintendo directly
August is usually an off month for nintendo.
So where does Splatoon 3 fit in. Could they push it to Botw2s slot
Hmmm that is a good point. Doesn’t help that we’ve practically seen more from XC3 than Splatoon 3 at this point and the latter was announced first. Unless we get news soon, it might be delayed.
@@KayJulers apparently in latest trailer there was some qr code that hinted towards August 18th but that is the only real thing we have to go off of.

My theory is that this Gort-like guy is similar to Metalface (and Gort), and is a a recurring villain trough out the Game. I‘m pretty sure the Main villain still isn’t confirmed.
Kinda surprised they moved up the release date. Let’s just hope the game isn’t buggy at launch.

Xenoblade 3 is bringing vas from 1&2 together
Of the bajillion things to be talked about, I just want to say that I am very uncomfortable with whatever the image of totally-not-Melia standing in front of some large machine with its ring glowing both ether blue and conduit yellow-green while proclaiming that any past objectives, ie., combatting her enemy nation of Agnus, are being thrown out the window in order to take down Ouroboros, insinuates about the national conflict.
My brain's initial reaction is that given the dark lighting and atmosphere, Keves mighta just won or possibly even killed someone of import from Agnus to have fully activated the ring on that machine and now definitely-not-Melia is no longer concerned with the Keves-Agnus conflict.
I'd say it's unlikely and that it'd be a fake-out if anything similar actually did play out, but my mind's worst-case-scenario is that probably-not-Nia got axed in some fashion and her own ring/clock or whatever is what transferred into the machine. I just also don't think it's possible that they kill off likely-not-Nia but then leave her Xenoblade 1 counterpart alive through to the end of the story, unless she'd also end up dead some time shortly after.
Nintendo: Guys! KayJulers can't play Xenoblade 3 in September! We HAVE to move it up!
