- The most recent trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles 3's story expansion, Future Redeemed, is absolutely bonkers. Given we only had a week until the release, I tried to gather together a list of details I picked up on as well as other implications they might have. Nicol’s hair is also a slightly darker shade of blonde, just like Fiora. I am gonna be SHOCKED if Nicol isn’t Shulk and Fioras kid.
His eyes are also perfect mix between Shulk's blue eyes and Fiora's green eyes. I hope my boyfriend doesn't notice it because he hasn't made it to Prison Island yet so he still thinks Fiora is dead. I saw someone call this DLC the "Xeno-dad Chronicles" 😂

When you mentioned how Matthew might awaken his Ouroboros powers on Prison Island, I was hit with an intense wave of realization. One of the lines Matthew says in the first trailer to be revealed of the DLC, he says: “Like killing Grandad wasn’t enough for you?”. This would fall in line to the events that transpired in XC1; Sorean dying and Shulk unlocking the Monado II, and a potential death that might happen which will awaken Matthew’s power.
Ohhh good thinking with that line. This expansion seems like it's just going to be a love letter to all things Xeno.
Look at his "stand" in the first trailer and look at Nael (i think that's her name) it might be a case of foreshadowing.
I saw someone mention this on twitter, but in the colony 9 scene, shulk and rex don't have their injuries and shulk has short hair. But they're with nikol and glimmer even though we saw them meet when shulk and rex had their injuries already.
Yeah, it's confusing.
Not sure if you noticed, but the pattern on Panacea's sword is VERY reminiscent of Reyn's scrap driver.
Panacea's weapon also seems to be a big sword.
Which, if Reyn was her dad, could be her sharing her father's taste in weapons.
The shape of the metal also looks like Reyn's default weapon.
My favourite part was my man Rex deflecting that blast with his ✨️ICONIC✨️ line "I'll show them a thing or three"
I wasn’t sure on that one girl being Sharla & Reyn’s child until you pointed out a lot more from the background shots with her in!

I really wanna see flashbacks from Shulk's and Rex's peaceful lives before all the merging of the worlds happened
We see Shulk and Melia exploring the new world in Future Connected, we however, don't see anything about what happened with Rex after defeating Malos. Would be cool to see what happened afterwards in a 2-3 minute clip.
I 100% agree. One of the things I love about XC1's ending is just seeing all of the party members living their lives. Sometimes small, mundane character moments are better than bombastic fights or set pieces.

Interesting note about Panacea. Her weapon shares design elements with Reyn's scrap driver. The orange markings on it are identical
And I'm just now realizing that it probably lends even more credence to her being the house Reid founder and being Shulk's adopted kid because Shulk likely built that weapon

Yeah, for sure. My only thinking right now is that they share a common goal in that Alvis has gone too far in his objectives in a way that affects everyone.

they even draw attention to it in the jp tweets by saying "how curious. what does this mean."
My question is why Z calls Alvis his "God". That's something that feels extremely interesting.
I think it might be manipulation. Z manipulated the 2 into thinking he was the good guy in all this. I genuinely am unsure of Alvis's villainhood, since he's legendarily known for playing 4D chess.

Mythra Jr might be an NPC in colony 9 since they're not playable.
Now for Shulk and Rex they might get the Hugo treatment and die to save their kids.

The intrigue is there to get people talking in the short term. Only a few days remain until we get the whole picture of Future Redeemed.
After watching a few analyses of this trailer, it was nice to watch a video that just pointed out some cool details from what we were given! Can’t wait to finally play this and have all our questions answered on Tuesday!
What an amazing analyze!! I subscribed and liked and you explained everything that is extremely important in the trailer! And yesss there were so many things you pointed out I didn't know!!! And my favorite part was seeing the environments from last games and of course SHULK AND REX TOGETHER FIGHTING ALVIS!!!!
I think one thing that also could lend credence to the panacea being reyn and sharla’s kid is in the weapon. Although I do think it’s a little bit of a stretch since when you see the spear pointed at glimmer it looks to Have similar colouring as reyn’s scrap driver did. Again a bit of a reach but it’s something I keep thinking about when I see it

Seeing how the developers said we will most likely figure out where the serie is heading after the final dlc I suspect xeno will have multiple worlds outside of these two, and I wouldnt be shocked of mythra etc is on one of those or her child to connect the serie somewhat.

Hey, maybe you can't make a movie analysis video but the montage was top notch, as well as the analysis that pointed out some very interesting things to me.
Matthew as a founder, Na'El as a founder and Glimmer as a founder, also having Rex's third child be a founder sounds a bit overkill. A man's family tree can only be SO Legendary lol.
That being said i do want to see Mythra's child of course in some capacity, as well as Mythra and Pyra in general lol.
We find her in the refugee base cooking, and her food is shockingly good. Or she salvages. Or glimmer frees her from flameclock. Maybe she is a soldier they free from colony Sigma. Yeah, I want her to be good, but having an entire family being legendary badasses is kinda a stretch. Some kids are just ordinary.
It's more that Noah and Mio being the ancestors of several Founders is the important part. Rex being Mio's dad makes it all part of his bloodline though lol.
The fact that we see the Trinity Processor cores in full saturated color and aren’t black and white like the previous times we saw them, means one of two things: either that moment will be symbolic, Alvis finally reuniting with his siblings after millions of years being separated, OR it means we’re getting more flashbacks with Klaus and Galea, a memory of the creation of the Trinity. Either way, I think we MIGHT possibly get one last look at Klaus and Galea to wrap the saga. And I’m not gonna be able to handle it if either of my ideas happen.
God I still can’t believe the saga is ending in only a few days. It feels like only yesterday I got into this franchise due to chuggaaconroy.
If this is just a straight prequel I wonder how it will recontextualize the events of the main game similar to how playing Torna puts XC2 in a whole new light? Though I expect it to be a little bit more than just a Xenoblade 3 prequel with the subtitle Future Redeemed.

Panacea being Reyn and Sharla’s daughter was a possibility that hadn’t occurred to me, but that does make the most sense. Linka being Rex and Mythra’s daughter though…not so much. You don’t get a good look at her in the trailer, but in the game itself, it seems obvious that she’s supposed to be descended from Zeke and Pandoria.
I keep wondering why they're so secretive about Cassini and Reid. You'd think they would've shown us the Founders' statues and given a description of their mentors to make us theorise about Rex and Shulk being in the game, instead they confirmed Rex and Shulk before and had us theorise about the Founders. If Reid really is Panacea, the fact they causally showed her in a single frame like some unimportant npc is very odd, and Cassini never being shown is even more suspicious. The trailer makes a big deal out of Na'el's story witht that core crystal, yet these two are the most elusive. The anticipation is killing me!
Could be simply they just aren't as important to the story as the other founders, who are important not just because they are founders but because they are also related to very notable people.
And even then you got the 7th founder who they straight up tell you is a purposeful mystery.
They might just be side characters or not as important to the base game, TBH. Hugo was important to Torna's story, but not to base XC2.
Omg this had SO many things in it that I never realized and now I'm even more excited. I hate that AP exams are a thing because I have to probably wait after them to play it...

I just want to point out that even if your theory about House Cassini ends up being wrong, we still have Matthew and Na'el (who are implied to be descended from Noah and Mio, and thus, from Rex) plus Glimmer (who shares too many traits with Pyra to be completely unrelated). Now when we first enter the City, Monica says that the City-born inhabitants are "Ouroboros by blood", and there are several instances of characters saying that most of them, House or not, probably share some common ancestry in the Founders - the Houses are just the ones that claim direct descent.
So when you think about it, then not only half of the Houses, but a sizable chunk of the City's population might be technically related to Rex (albeit very distantly) via ancestry.

Yooo hope you enjoyed the game! One of my absolute favorites and the OST is fantastic.
I'm really excited to see the deal with the ontos na'el form. In her statue it says she was the first to fully realize the power of ouroboros, and with the way it seems she disappears thru a rift during the city's destruction, I think this could hint at her being the first to interlink, doing so with the evil alvis in a human form. As far as why he's called ? in the key art, I'm thinking it has to do with the heartless machine line and Z calling him, my god. I think the personality has been forced out of alvis and manifested as A, so now all that's left is the original computer, Ontos, who suddenly has the same type of wings as zanza, another villain who was known for being a peaceful God wanting nothing but companionship by giving sentience to the life on bionis to live in peace with him and those on mechonis. What happened to him? He suddenly changed on a whim, enacted a genocide on mechonis, and stole the sentience back from the high entia which he "granted on a whim" to kill everyone for "food". This always felt kinda bullshit to me though cuz people are always dying naturally regardless and their ether is going back into the bionis to repeat the life cycle no matter what. Now in 3 we have moebius, seemingly a manifestation of the collective unconscious, and their leader calling ontos with crazy zanza wings his God. Alvis wouldn't be a God tho since it goes against shulks directive in making a world with no gods. What I think is going on here is we are finally getting xenoblades take on some kind of God like wave existence, who possess those who come in contact with the Conduit. After all it is likely that the conduit is a gateway to this domain of infinite energy. If this is the case, the true villain of the whole xenoblade series who caused Zanza to turn against his creations is this God. A wave existence which possess those that dare come in contact with it in an attempt to use its infinite power, showcased on the host in the form of these trademark gold line pattern wings.
If this game actually goes back and gives further depth to Zanza through explaining the deal with Alvis and A, that would be INSANE! I always thought the line from Klaus about "punishment from on high" referred to his belief in something like God, but, if in reality some wave existence like entity was responsible, the whole foundation would be shook.
@KayJulers for real. And the thing that especially bothered be about Klaus is the way we all assumed he was just conveniently split into a good and evil half that became zanza. Nowhere in the games does it ever say that's what happened. We all just kinda convinced ourselves it was true. Xenoblade is way too philosophical of a series to deal in absolute morals like that, so it would be contradictory to it's own themes for THE GUY that was the linchpin behind the whole series being set into motion to just conveniently by chance be split into a perfectly good and perfectly evil half. And if zanza WAS perfectly evil and refused the existence of anyone but himself, then why the fuck bother making life, and letting the mechonis make life, and pretend to be friends for who the hell knows how many thousands of years before only then turning on everybody all at once? Cuz keep in mind, Miquol witnessed the attack on mechonis and he is quite litterally old as fucking dirt.

I don't think Cassini is Mythra's child as she is not mentioned to be from agnus the way you would expect Mythra's child to be and unlike the other found pairs(Matthew and Na'el being siblings and Nikol and Glimmer being born in the cycle) it wouldn't really parallel with Panacea being Reid
my theory is that Panacea is a descendant of Sharla's and Reyn's kid who was a previous Ouroboros(like Matthew being N's and M's descendant) and to parallel this Cassini would be a Descendant of Zeke's and Pandoria's kid(the only remaining couple from 1's and 2's party who hasn't had someone related to them in 3 besides Mythra)
as for Mythra's kid my guess is that they won't be a founder but will make an appearance in the DLC in some form

I think Ontos got split into Alvis and A when it went off to a different dimension like explained in xc2. A came from that dimension so prob could be why she has a Monado.
In the first teaser, it show Shulk and Rex against Alvis but Shulk had short hair and his arm and Rex still had his eye. So I think in that Alvis battle, Shulk and Rex’s arm/eye became gone.
Yeah, that encounter should be pretty early in the narrative, but the timing is definitely where it gets interesting!
Yeah, the Klaus/Zanza split could've happened to Ontos as well.
Problem with your theory that Cassini is Mythra's child:
Mythra's child is the same age as Glimmer and Mio, so she would be a part of the cycle
It's never mentioned by anyone that Cassini was freed from the flame clock
It's never said anywhere that she lived for a really long time like Rex and Shulk are doing, you would assume the same would happen to her if she wasn't part of the cycle
You can say the same thing about that sharla looking girl.

Yeah, even if they wanted the shock value of seeing aged Rex and Shulk in the Memorial Hall of the base game, that was always one of the most curious excerpts. I'm excited to see how it plays out!

Imagine if Glimmer is actually Mythra's daughter and not Pyra's.
I mean the fire of Pyra is a weaker version of her light, so it could be the same here with Glimmer using only a fraction of her power (and then she could remanipulate light and regain her blond hair when she unlock it).
Obviously it isn't base on anything, but after being so much tricked by the devs (in particular the safronia tree and flashback before Uraya.. without safronia) they could do anything to play us again.

im actually wondering if the Cassani figure could be related to Pandoria. The mystery character on Prison Island has high boots and booty shorts much like Pandy did, it looks like they have green hair, (though that could be the lighting) and notably, the character isn't wearing a thigh-strap, a design feature so prominent to Mythra that both Nia and Glimmer have one on the exact same leg. It would feel odd to me that Mythra's wife and niece had that strap, but not her own child.

XD Imagine her shouting her attacks like Zeke and Rex laughing his butt and off and saying, “ You are just like your father!”.
I find it odd so many people think the Founders for House Reid and House Cassini are the children of past characters, those should be soldiers of Keves and Agnus like Mio, Glimmer and Nikol (citing only confirmed cases, though you could arguably extend that to Noah, Lanz, Eunie and Joran as well) and subject to the 10 year time limit. Due to the lack of a mention of them having surpassed that time limit unlike the Rhodes & Ortiz statues, I'm inclined to think those two Founders were born on Aionios, and the *children* of soldiers.
In other words, Panacea probably isn't Reyn & Sharla's daughter. She's their *granddaughter*.
I suspect the line of descent would be Sharla to Ashera to Panacea.
This also gives a good reason for Shulk to be raising Panacea, Ashera being a soldier means she would have died (and perhaps not in a good way) while Panacea would have been very young; someone would have to take care of her, and Shulk would still take up the task of raising Panacea for similar reasons. It should be noted that these circumstances would be VERY common with first-generation children of soldiers (and even demonstrated with Noah's & Mio's son), and I suspect the group of children Na'el is seen playing with in that one video likely fall into that category.
The same logic could be applied to the Founder of House Cassini, it's unlikely for them to be Mythra's child UNLESS they are also a soldier... which feels unlikely. However, Rex & Mythra's grandchild is completely fair game. Or some extremely bizarre circumstances where the blonde is due them being the child of Glimmer and Nikol from a previous incarnation.
In any case, don't forget that extra generation. With the exception of Melia, Shulk, Nia and Rex (and any Aegises), anyone from Bionis or Alrest is would start out as a soldier with a 10-year time limit.
Reyn and Sharla could have just had Panacea after they were already apart of Aionios.
Plausible, but unlikely. We don't know if they got to Aionios or in what condition they'd be in if they did.
Then again, I'm half-floating the theory that Na'el isn't exactly Matthew's sister but was still raised as such. Mostly because Na'el could pass for Mio's *twin*, and both of Mio's (presumed) parents are confirmed present and active on Aionios in the appropriate time-frame.
Riku is still the biggest mystery to me. That common variety Nopon.
I hope at least some of the OG cast from 1 and 2 appears.

Tbh I’m still kinda confused as to how Shulk and Rex are even alive at this point in the story. Aionios has been around for a very long long time as shown by the existence of N and the fact that there are old people in the city, and it’s not like Shulk and Rex have super long lifespans like Melia and Nia, so how are they alive and still look like they are in their mid-forties?
That's definitely one of the most puzzling things. Perhaps Aionios has an effect on the aging of people, particularly those from the old worlds? Not sure, but luckily there's not too much longer until we get our answers!

We need to talk about the Nopon.
Shulk was geek - nopon buddy is adventurer.
Rex was adventurer - nopon buddy is geek.
But I want to point out is that Nichol, as much as he reflects characteristics of Fiora, his mechanical arms up near his head are a nod to the nopon warriors.
So are nopon the reflection of man’s subconscious and unspoken dreams of sex, money, virtue, power, innocence and adventure?
It’s notable that there is a certain mystical lore designed for these furry faerie folk in every single game so far. I think Nichol may be a clue why he seems to embody them in this dlc.

New official intel just in today: Panacea name confirmed, and her JP voice over is done by no other than Watanabe Akeno who did Carula/Sharla.

I don't think A is the seventh Founder. I'm pretty sure that's still Nia. We still have two Founders unaccounted for, and Nia makes the most sense because she made the Ouroboros stones. A doesn't have to be the seventh Founder in order to be a founder. I don't see why people jumped ship on the Nia theory.
Because assumedly the Founders are specifically the people who will be in attendance for the early battles of the DLC(Rex and Shulk taking on mentor roles for themselves), and just based on what we see, Nia will be nowhere to be seen during those battles.
Also we literally never knew about A up until this trailer, which lines up with us not really knowing the 7th Founder either. And if Nia IS the 7th Founder, that would mean A is just straight up never addressed ever again after this story, which would be very weird for an Alvis/Monado character and who fight right alongside the other Founders.
@@Nerwrax15 It's an assumption that Rex and Shulk are taking the roles of the people they will later mentor. There's nothing that says that they don't mentor A while in the party, without being removed for her. We know nothing about Cassini or Rhodes either, all we know is that they're women and we're trained by Shulk and Rex. Both descriptions can fit A at this point in time as far as we know.
@@aneonfoxtribute yes but A is also an Alvis look-alike with an Aegis earring and wields a Monado who was also almost definitely a Consul/Moebius. She is way too intriguing of a character to be stuck behind a statue of Rex with a description of "yeah, she liked Rex alot".
Im of the train of thought that Founder's Cassini and Reid themselves aren't that important beyond being present during the gathering of the other founders, so having their statues be their mentors is the better choice. If A isn't mentioned at all, the only sensible reason is because she chose to have her identity scrubbed, which is the case with the 7th Founder. Also A doesn't even seem like a character to have a last name :/
Not to mention Nia's hero events in 3 have her talk right next to the 7th Founder statue but she never confirms that she's the 7th Founder, even though there would be no reason to hide it anymore.
@@Nerwrax15 We don't know where the names Cassini and Rhodes came from. We don't know if they were originally last names. Kevesi and Agnians don't have last names either, so Glimmer and Nikol shouldn't have last names (especially since Rex, Pyra, Shulk, and Fiora don't seem to have any last names either).

Im genuinely curious, they have to come from somewhere, and i don't think each founder is going to just suddenly name their houses after random words in this DLC, we know lasts names are a thing, Melia has one, but other last names have never really been relevant before. Of course Glimmer and Nikol would not know their last names, but you know who could tell them? Their Dads.

I was plenty disappointed when i realised it will be a prequel, so i really hope they will find a way to blend in an ending to that somehow. Like maybe the game ending with Shulk and Rex dying, only to awaken in their real worlds and take deep breaths or something... I am in the gang of people not fully satisfied with XC3's ending lol. But either way, for what it will be, i am sure the prequel will still be worth checking out! For that thing... or three

Just how old is Riku, and just how old can nopon's be for him to be riki's kid.
Riku does not age at all just like the rest of the founders besides Nikol and Glimmer. Anyone brought into Aionios thats not born from a cradle is not effected by the flow of time and does not age. Riku must have been born before Aionios and was brought in after its creation. This is also why Melia and Nia dont age

Let's face it, if it isn't Nikol, all Kevesis are descended from Reyn. We all know he got stuck in and bone-uppered all of Bionis.
I'm starting to think A has to be Mythra's daughter. She must have had a different name at first, and inherited Mythra's aegis core crystal, but I think she changed when Alvis, or at least his physical body, was destroyed by Z, Rex and Shulk.
What changed Mythra's daughter's name? I'm thinking she was killed after Z betrayed Rex and Shulk and Z brought her back as a Moebius. But, Alvis's essence found A and infused itself in A's core crystal, turning it red and giving A some of Alvis's abilities. Not only abilities, but A also inherited Alvis's tendency to fight against Z, which is why she said "such duplicity is usually beneath me" when she stabs the one Moebius.
After that, I think we may have seen Nael with the red core crystal because of some sacrifice A made, and given that Nael was a descendant of A's sister she could inherit her core crystal following A's sacrifice.
Why would Mythra's daughter have the Ontos core crystal, look like a gender bent version of Alvis and have a Monado?
