Shulk Amiibo support with Monado Skin & Expansion pass was hype & also getting to see what makes two people fuse into Wild Ride is amazing.
The ability to use the Monado even if it’s just a visual change is so damn cool!

I'm really impressed with 3's cast overall. All the designs are super solid and unique, while still fitting together. There's enough characters here that you really could make a solid fighting game

Every QoL addition and every mechanic that has been build upon in each game of the main series is in this game! And I'm all for it!

I have been very optimistic so far, but what I saw completely blew my expectations. This might become my favourite Xenoblade.
I'm already loving Alexandria and Gray. Also did you notice Gray's class was "Full Metal Jaguar"?

Kay, I saw so many Gears and Saga references. I wasn't sure if you played either game, but man it shocked me. I'm hyped.
I'm about halfway through Gears currently and have already been noticing a lot of references! The plan is to have Gears finished before Xenoblade 3 drops.
It provided some more context and raised more questions overall, so I think they did great avoiding spoilers. I was worried but couldn't force myself to skip it.
Purple chest things in the council could connect them to the logos core
The black knight in X had one too, and the original acronym for BLADE in X was ‘Beyond the Logos Artificial Destiny Emancipator’ iirc so holy shit. Also the red armour/general colour scheme might be related to Ontos

The fact that they made it to where the Shulk Amiibo gives us a Monado skin is awesome. I’ve been thinking of getting a Shulk Amiibo for awhile but I’m definitely getting now for this.

God damn that DLC, its gonna be like Xenoblade 2 with lots of content. That song at the beginning was beautiful, reminded me of drifting soul, one last you, and a moment of eternity,.

What if all the spooky red people are the divided embodiments of Alvis’s power? They seem to be the ones pulling the strings and Alvis has to show up/be influential somehow… Just thinking of the colour matching up with his core design revealed in Definitive Edition. Also thank you for appreciating just how sick the fight scenes and animations generally look.

By the by, we’ve already heard incoming! In one of the clips posted on Twitter a few months ago, there’s an except of it when you either get spotted by a monster or engage a unique monster.
I am fully convinced that this “Vandam” is Zeke. The eyepatch, the freakish strength, the fashion sense, and even the hair color scream Zeke von Genbu to me. Since he’s a blade eater he would have a naturally longer life than most other humans so that would explain how he’s still around.

I actually cannot see this not becoming part of my Top 5 favourite games, strong candidate for Top 2 already (first one being XCDE). How is there so much crazy stuff in this game and with such high quality??
I'm finally watching this and I'm glad the only thing I watched before the game came out was the announcement trailer. Even though there's no mjor spoilers here, it was nice to experience the game without knowing hardly annything
Personally, I think 12:19 sounds a lot more like "Battle in the Sky"
Yeah, it has some of those erratic techno sounds going on in there.

I only just noticed but at 13:53 it shows an enemy being dazed so it looks like both break topple routes might be available

I will say that overall this was top quality work. Only sad thing is with the Amiibo talk, they could have used this as a reveal for the Pyra & Mythra Amiibos and they missed it. While I don't have Shulk I would love to see what the other Amiibos do.
I'm really curious when the Pyra & Mythra amiibos will finally release. I didn't get the statues, but I'd like to get those!

This is gonna be a gargantuan game they’re planning on people to still having things to do with it by December 2023.
I have a prediction that the dlc will let us use Shulk and rex as the 2 new heros for wave 2 & 3 since their swords are in the dlc art
Seeing as they expect us to play this game until December of next year, I wonder when production started and how much content is actually crammed in here.

Calling it now: either the boat is also a mech and we can eventually fly with it, or there's going to be an ouroboros upgrade that lets them fly.
This is too big to not have X-style exploration.
Calling it now: they are going to have a third form that results from perfect synchronization. Instead of one or the other in control at a time, both members are, and their stats will reflect this balance; especially since the stats of the forms' we know reflect the one in control.

yeah i agree the designs are way more cohesive than xenoblade 2!! even tho there are many designers, there should be some goal to achieve something that doesnt break immersion
I honestly like the fact that the special Blades didn't have a cohesive design however everyone seemed like they lined up were they came from. But I just don't lose immersion that easy so there is that.

Unfortunately, the sound of the Direct is so quiet in your video that it's impossible to enjoy both the Direct AND your reaction.
Honestly I'm not as hyped as I'd like to be. This game seems to have more in common with XC2 than XC1, which to me is disappointing. Also the setting of the first game, a kind of post apocalyptic setting where the game is based more on exploration, is much more interesting than anything in 2 or so far in 3. It had a more "classic" feeling.. But fingers crossed. Also not not a fan of the more anime direction the series has taken, although this looks less abnoxious than 2. It just sucks to drive at the realization that the first game was seemingly the pinnacle of the series.
Really? I thought this game was deviating from 2 and taking more elements from 1, which I also enjoyed. I agree with what you said about the "classic" feeling and I don't like Saito's artstyle either, the person who's doing the heroes seems to be doing a much better job - I keep saying Monolith Soft's should've just made Kaita Razama make the official art and character designs (he worked for XB1 and X). In any case, I really like what we've seen from 3 so far, like I said, it takes a lot of stuff from 1 and I'm so happy about it.
@@egilsama I hope I feel the same as you when it is released. I LOVE XC1 and XCX but 2 was a huge disappointment. Maybe im just cynical now.
