Anne Hathaway is so gorgeous and feminine, she looks perfect for Selena who is also a very gorgeous and feminine DC character. Christopher Nolan wanted Anne to do as much of her own stunts as possible like the backflip as Anne said from an interview. Also Christopher Nolan is such a terrific director. The fact that he made this scene so that Selena would need to climb up a high window before disappearing really makes it feel as if she was a cat climbing up and getting away.
