How is the town allowing u to build a commercial building in a residential area? Is ur land mixed zoning? Not trying to sound like a D just curious. They are pretty weird about doing that in my part of MA. And I live in a farm town. They only allow u to run ur business out ur house if it's zoned for farming.
@@connerfleury7 it’s ok I understand the question. the neighborhood is all contractors in a mixed zone . However I’m not building a commercial building. It’s basically a residential garage/barn . Not metal building. Even though there is one six doors down .I do have some rules .I’m not allowed to have customers here. I had to sell the screening machine because I’m not allowed to process any materials on site. Pretty much can park my stuff here and not be open to public. Also there are so many different kinds of businesses on my street that they would open themselves up to a lawsuit if they told me no. There was permitted trucking company at the end of my street that my friends family has had here since the 60s . There was also a gun store 2 houses down and a bbq place up the street at a guys house that all the cops would eat at . I mean you name it landscapers ,3 plumbing with multiple vans,even an electrician with multiple vans. The list goes on and on . Kind of a strange place 🤷♂️
Interesting. Sounds alot like whsre my shop is. My shop is in a mixed zone area. Industrial and residential. It all depends on the town but towns around me dont allow u to run a business out of ur residence. How ever ik plenty of ppl with businesses at their house or businesses in the incorrect areas for that zoning. No one really busts on them. Unless ur an A hole... which is why i love my part of MA where im at lol. I was just shocked to see they allow that seeing how ur near the cape and all ive heard their real liberal there and don't let anything slide. @DirtBrute

The radiator has already been hit off of a tree branch and damaged by a previous driver. I agree with you, I retired after doing 25 years of cival service, I bought 160 acre's in central NY, I spend my days building ponds and gardening, no neighbors very quiet here, I only leave my compound for groceries

Just a couple thoughts.. 1. Stove headed bolts so the sand will not be on your bolt heads? 2. Move your trailer plug up above the trailer tounge to prevent damage when jack knifing, also to eliminate a sand collection point. 3. Could you spray your dump bed with something like no stick cooking spray to help the load come out? Not a truck drive but have enjoyed the videos. Love that you bring your son along. Stay safe!

@@Forestryman707 I technically because of the width and the length don’t need the guy in the pickup. Normally I don’t have him like at the end with the excavator. He was only there to help load and unload because I haven’t run that grinder in a couple years so I could remember how to start it and turn on the remote. Keep a low wattage incandesant light bulb inside the cover of the welders and the wire will not rust. The heat generated by the bulb will keep the wire nice and toasty. Or build a box with a/c insulation and put the wire rolls inside with a bulb to keep the moisture out.

This one has an extra steel colorizer hopper that they built for it that brings it up to 98,000 pounds normally. it just didn’t have it on it this time but when my son asked the operator what it weighed.He gave him the normal answer. @@scottreed5460 what state are you in ? Massachusetts overweight permit on that set up is good for up to 130,000 pounds. Anything over that requires engineered surveys for route trip permit And if you take the mass Pike, it’s an extra $300 fee and requires police escort.
I’m on OHIO. You didn’t have a 20k steer axle. Those are 12k steer tires. I’m not trying to call you out bro, it’s just me, all good.
@@scottreed5460 yeah no problem man. There not 12k the truck has to get inspection before that will issue the overweight permit. I’m not sure what it has for axle but I know it has the permit. Also know that I. Massachusetts a lot of our set ups are illegal in other states . For example my 24ft tandem axle dump trailer on a tandem axle tractor was permitted for 103,000. But was illegal in all the neighboring states. The guy that haul stuff in from Maine have triaxle long wheel base trailer that only haul 24 ton yet mine here much shorter and one less axle could haul 36 ton with a 12k axle on an old short r model tractor. Mass hauls heavy man . Just is what it is.
Fine Massachusetts engineering, nasty square edge granite curbing. They just ruined the 5 intersections in our small town on the NY border made them tight and impossible for truck.

Don't blame ya on not wanting to spread in tight area's ,the roof of my cab is crushed in from the box laying down with a limb under it, what i ended up doing was getting a couple box vibrators and mounting one in the middle of the bed and one in the very back under the gate, i can dump or spread a load with my truck without raising my box more than a couple feet, just a helpful thought, Anyways What my question is, i noticed you don't compact your subgrade? do ever have problems with it turning to sht while your laying down your gravel? Where i live we get a lot rain so if we don't at least static roll the subgrade it will either turn the road to mush or you run the risk of dragging mud on the clean gravel. not criticizing just curious on the way things work in other places. And that truck is sweet, this out of line but can you give me a ballpark on the price?

So this driveway is in a rocky hard area of town and most of the driveway is hard clay mixed with the old crushed gravel so when I was scraping it I could tell it didn’t need to be compacted anymore. I could hardly Dig It up .If it was a new driveway I always compact the sub grade first . The old driveways that have been driven on for many years don’t normally need it if your just adding to it you can just compact the material you’re putting down. I think we charged $4200 for this. It would be way more with todays prices.

@DirtBrute I do float work in Canada. I should have said that on the highway if I have my wipers on intermittent, I can move on the highway. If I have to keep them on full time I cannot mive an oversize on the highway. I have permits for counties and cities which does allow me to move in the rain

@@c490cuK you’re such a blowhard. Its not my trailer and they asked me to fill in last minute. It’s a brand new trailer there’s still outfitting it .Stating a fact is not whining. There was no broom on the trailer so I used my gloves. I clean the tracks off twice with my gloves after borrowing a shovel from the operator to get the heavy Mud out . Which I stated in the video.
