I agree. Septic design seems to be very much engineer dependent here as well. But it also seems very much county engineer / permit issuer dependent. My engineer told me our county requires overkill compared to others.
Same here. They are starting to require overkill in most towns in our county .
I give you guys credit, it's amazing anything gets done there with all the B.S. regulations

I'm 24 and have an excavation business in mass as well. Been at it for 6 years. I'm down in western MA on the CT MA line. This is the first video of yours I've seen. I can definitely relate to this state sucking. If it wasn't for my business and family being here I would be long gone. The red tape isn't bad here on jobs. But you definitely run into some BS sometimes. Mostly when it comes to conservation stuff. With that being said all that BS mass makes u go threw with licensing and permits makes it harder for competition so I guess that's not bad.
I can relate to what you were saying about the triaxles in MA. I recently was looking into getting a 10 wheeler but as ur friend said everyone wants 100k for crap. U have to go down south to get anything worth while. But I've switched gears and decided to upgrade my big machine. So this video was definitely appropriate for me lol.
It's interesting how much you guys use leaching gallies out that way. I've heard they are MA compliant but I Have yet to see or install a system like that. We do mostly pipe and stone, eljin, presby, and infiltrators out this way. Great vids new subscriber.

I watched this @ 12minutes & forgot to post! Anyway, this was a good one and our town is too snotty to work in time for others and they love to add little changes to the requirements. Good driving on that nice truck too. Lots of work on that septic GOOD JOB & *THANKS*

What the heck...is the average cost of a basic septic system on the Cape ? They was talk of maybe having all existing septic systems on the Cape to be upgraded to now day specifications...Dreamers. But it sure make for tons of work for all you contractors.
They are all over the place as far as price. Really depends on how the engineer designed it. I haven’t seen one under $20k lately.

Not any time soon . I’m happy with the ones I have. I also don’t like the new stuff with DEF
imo, engineers go way beyond. they like to do an overkill but what do i know, i'm just a mere mortal...thumbs up !!
