Dang it. I want so many of these pros to have their happy ending. They deserve it. I want to see Khan come back with Deft and Pawn*, bring Madlife and inSec back, and win a world championship together. Then LoL will officially be complete. *I think Pawn already got his trophy, but I can't think of a Mid with a similar caliber and story, and he's bros with Deft.

This is very nostalgic. I remember watching that MSI game and being shocked that they didn't ban Faker's unstoppable LB, and also happy I would get to see it in action, and then even more shocked that it wasn't unstoppable after all. Great documentary series!

I love how many great stories are behind these teams and these games. The finals is SSW getting their own redemption as the former "first" team, while ending SSB's cinderella story, and over on the other side of the team getting snuffed out we have Royal with Uzi and inSec, two legends in their own right getting stopped in their tracks. Great series!

In 2021 I had no idea who Khan was when I watched Worlds, but as I got to know him better I somehow identified with him, I got to see him make great comebacks in duels and skirmishes with no fear of commitment to the play, as a top-laner that's absolutely beautiful to watch. Now, after watching this amazing documentary and having a bit more context, I can see how (even) more impressive he is, even though he's one of the best of his generation, deep down he's just a regular guy who wants to play his own way and have fun doing it. During the Pandemics, some friends and I created a league "team" for ourselves called "Bactéria E-sports", we were all (and still are) Bronze ranked, but the main reason for creating the team, besides having a cool name for Clashes, was to remind ourselves of what was there at the end of every match, friendship and fun. When my friends and I came up with our team motto, we chose the words "Fun above meta", and I think Khan is the best example of how that approach can take you far in the game (and life in general). That's it. Thanks for sharing this amazing story and reminding us that there is more to league than just gloating over losses or bragging about winning it all.

I've strictly limited myself to playing 2 games of league every other day and I've actually started enjoying the game again, I even kind of keep up with the esports side of it now lmao

I had the issue of ping ponging between Silver 1 and Silver 5. If it was skill based I'd have hovered roughly in the same rank winning ~50% of my games. But no it was "Win 95% of my games" till I hit gold promos, then suddenly "Lose 95% of my games" till I was dragged down to Silver 5. Then it would repeat over and over. When half the win/lose matches traveling either way were because 1 or more people decided to late dodge or rage quit mid game. We are then held hostage for 15+ mins till people can surrender. 20+ minutes if you have even 1 potato that is determined to win a 4v5. I did not enjoy being on either side of uneven fight. Maybe 1 in 20 games were actually fun where both sides were closely matched skill wise AND didnt have griefing of some kind. Those were the fun games. But that only happening 5% of the time was sad as fuck. I have since moved to games that allow for the kicking of asshole players and allows for new players to join mid game if someone is kicked/leaves.

I would like to play with humans, I seem to only be grouped with weird bots.. brainless players with no common-sense.. don't get me wrong, I love this game, but I'm seriously questioning whether or not Riot will want to make this a wonderful playing with humans experience. I don't remember this being like this.. I feel like I will just simply stay away.. you can't do shit without a premade team of 5.. so much for the most popular game..

It’s not hard work alone that makes you good at something. Some players have played the game for over 10 years but are still plat or gold It’s feedback(this could be coaching) and improving that makes you better at something Let's say he got even better at ADC and got a deal with a super team or a deal with t1.
