Unboxing Some Very Cool 😎 Packages From Ebay And Larry
Hi Roy some great films definitely going to search out IF to watch. Take care m8.
@elleryfiddler844 hello Ellery, hope you're well. IF was fantastic. I think it's still in print. Unlike a lot of the Eureka stuff.
@@roybarratt5609 I will take a look. Thank you
Hi Roy Magnolia is great. I still haven’t seen Blade runner 2049 myself 😮. Get the godfather part 2 watched. I still think the first one is best though I know lol. Take care m8.
I have no excuses for The Godfather part 2. What a plonker 😆
Hi Roy, Only recently watched Big Jake for the first time and really enjoyed it, A bit more violent for a John Wayne film that i didn't expect but one i will be picking up. Dracula AD is not one of the best out of the Hammer Dracula films but its still a lot of fun, i do enjoy the all if i am honest. 9 To 5 is a great film , i watched that a couple of weeks back with the wife and we both enjoyed it. Thanks mate
@bushmanblu426 hello Mark. It was a decent week. No turkeys this week. 9 to 5 was really good fun. I think there maybe a foreign bluray. I will have to investigate.
Hi Roy, I’ve seen the 80’s Tv show of the Triffids (scared me to death at the time 😆) I’ve read the story of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea and wouldn’t mind getting that silent edition 🧐 9 to 5 is an excellent film, the boss is played by Dabney Coleman who was a lovely guy and a great character actor who sadly passed away two moths ago aged 92. (It has a Spanish, Italian and a limited edition American blu-ray edition. Enjoy your trip to the coast mate, take care👍😃👍
Hey Alan 👋 we were the perfect age for Day of the Triffids. I always think of it alongside another show The Tripods as it was a similar time and had a similar effect on me 😃 There's a decent copy of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea on CZcams so you can watch it for free 👍 If my research was as thorough as yours I'd have known Dabney Coleman died recently. Thanks 👍 mate 👍
@@roybarratt5609 thanks for that Roy, I will check it out 👍
I'm not sure that Barry Norman in his review described 9 to 5 as involving Bdsm.
@@larryboyd5882 they had him chained in some weird gear 😆
Christopher Lee rules Nice video ✅
@0ldMatty2 thanks Matty 😊
Hello from Greece 🇬🇷, love mysterious island ray harryhausen top tier, carnt go wrong with John Wayne films some better than others but he always solid, Christopher lee my Dracula 🦇👌🏻. don't think I have seen IF film mate , nice watches have a good holiday mate 👍🏻
@@stuartgeorge2324 cheers 🍻 Stuart. Hope you're having a great time 🌊 ⛱️
@@roybarratt5609 yeah man
I did enjoy day of the Trifids,
@@MovieMad1 the series?
A fun week of watches, Roy. I too remember really enjoying the 80s tv version of Day of the Triffids with John Duttine. Enjoy your hols next week
@neilsmoviechannel3199 thanks Neil 😊 my bucket and spade is at the ready
Some more interesting watches this week by the sounds of it mate 😎👍🏻 9 to 5 has always intrigued me, I'll have to take a closer look one day at that one. Enjoy ur time at the coast mate 👍🏻
@@popcornandhorror thanks Ash. 👍 your video in the week has made me look forward to seeing the sea 🌊 😀. We live just about the furthest point from the coast.
@roybarratt5609 I grew up a stones throw away from the beach, in a town called Brightlingsea, but it still feels great whenever I go back to the coast. Luckily I'm probably only a 45min drive to some sort of coastline 😎
Roy I'm following your example and revisiting some of big John Waynes films, plenty to choose from and having grown up watching them on tv must admit I'm really enjoying them. Can't recall Big Jake so that's my next watch. Love that you tell us about the films and not what format or box there in, keep em coming 👍
@@petegee thanks Pete, kind words. You'll enjoy Big Jake. Wayne at his charismatic best. I'm getting through the ones I own. I may have to invest in some more. 👍
‘If’ is a really great film Roy; I only seen it the once; but I really liked it; need to check out more films from Lindsay Anderson mate; have a great time away Roy; I’m off back to my parents today; so I won’t be doing any vids for a week and a bit; let’s hope it’s coming home buddy 😀⚽️🦁🍿🎸🤞
@samglendenning9884 hey Sam yes If was fantastic 👍 enjoy the home comforts at your parents 😀 I'm sure your in for being spoilt and well fed 😊 ❤️
@@roybarratt5609 thanks very much Roy; I gonna have some Rubard & Custard sweets when movie watching; having a Chicken Dinner today 😍👌 Gonna do some more Reading too 😊📚
@@samglendenning9884 sounds like a perfect Sunday 👌
@@roybarratt5609 absolutely Roy 😀 I always have stuffing & Yorkshire Puds to go with it 👍👍
Great video Roy. Becoming a weekly Sunday morning watch for me these. Only seen Dracula out of these tbh its not bad. Take care
@movieworm thanks Jordan. I'll miss doing it next week when we're away.
I have similar but it's all shrinkwrapped dvd movies and videogames over a decade old. I never got around to switching to bluray. I thought modern movie rereleases might be subject to more cuts and edits too as a reflection of netflix and other streaming services initially, although dvdcompare doesn't usually suggest this to be the case
Hi Roy, there’s two in here I’ve not seen (don’t ask me which 😬) but don’t worry, there will be no judging from me mate, we all have films we just haven’t got around to. I get what you mean about wanting to savour the first time you see a film and putting it off. Just think, if you start now, by next week, you could have all these watched. I did a similar video a few years ago but filmed the first part saying I hadn’t watched these films followed by me having watched them and my thoughts. So maybe do a follow up video. Take care Roy👍😃👍
That's a good idea for a follow up. I wouldn't mind watching your video but it would take some finding 😅 Thanks mate 👍 👌
@@roybarratt5609 yeah, even I would struggle to find it, it was a few years back 😬
I’ve seen Godfather Part II and Boogie Nights on TV; Blade Runner 2049, No Time To Die and Creed II in the cinema. I own Ran and have never got round to seeing it. The notable films I’ve not seen include Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Again & Episode VI: The Return of the Jedi, Aliens, Dances with Wolves, The Bodyguard, Natural Born Killers, Braveheart, The English Patient, Titanic….
@IanThomson-md5yx I've seen nearly all the ones you haven't Ian. Just The Bodyguard and Natural Born Killers to tick off. Too many movies.
get crouching tiger in your player tonight, tut tut.
@MegaGordyboy I have no excuses Gordy 😅
You're excused for all of them except Godfather 2
@@happinesstan I don't deserve to be excused for that one 😅

Far Far too many😢. Just a few from That I can remember right now. The Batman. The joke. Avatar way of water. Just too many to mention real
@davidmckee2898 there are far too many films David 😆
Quite a few Classics you have missed out, you could do a poll and watch the most popular
@@MovieMad1 that's not a bad idea. Probably only way I'd get round to them
Hi Roy some great watches. I need to re watch the Jurassic films again. Take care
@elleryfiddler844 hey Ellery. I've had a great time watching them again. You're never too old for dinosaurs eating people.
Whattttttt godfather part 2 !!! nearly had a heart attack 😮😅

@@roybarratt5609 I nearly chocked on my drink lol
I get that all the time call yourself a movie fan but you not seen this or that 😅 I have seen creed 1 and 2 not seen 3, the Daniel Craig bonds have surprised me tbh mate, I have not seen dune either, 2049 is not bad but doesn't beat the original no way near mate , I might do a same video as yours sometime and I might shock you mate 😅, 💿💿💿💿💿👈🏻
@stuartgeorge2324 a few have said now they'd have a go at it. It's a bit of good fun 😁 there's just enough hours to watch everything 😆
@@roybarratt5609 bring on retirement never be bored with collection IV got to first watch and re watch 😆
Haven't. Seen Blade Runner 2049 or Ran orDune 2 seen Dune bought Dune 2 the Dirty Dozen rip Donald Sutherland brilliant film Dirty Dozen I haven't watched a lot either
@georgecondie6331 I have so many to watch George. I should slow down with new stuff while I catch up but where's the fun in that 🤔
Hi Roy. Although I have seen all of those, definitely no shame as I know I have a great many titles in my collection still to watch. Hope you enjoy them when you get to them
@neilsmoviechannel3199 thanks Neil. Hope you're well. It was a bit of fun really. I'll get there one day. Think we're all in the same boat.
Fantastic video Roy 😀🍿🙌🎸🎶 Oh mate; if it helps; I haven’t seen ‘Aliens’ & ‘Dawn Of The Dead’ can you believe it 😂🤦♂️ ‘Magnolia’ is utterly magnificent Roy; that is PTA’s masterpiece IMO; but still love ‘Boogie Nights’ aswell 😀 BR is one of my fav films of all time aswell Roy; it looked superb on the big screen when Tyneside showed it few month back ❤️🖤 2049 is a spectacle treat; one of the nicest 4Ks I seen TBH 😍 I absolutely love ‘The Godfather’ and one of my fav films ever; but oh Roy; you are going to be absolutely love GF II; I put it above the first; even tho there both fabulous films and I seen them both at Tyneside; GF II being reshown next month for the film’s 50th anniversary ❤️🖤 The book is wonderful aswell 📚🍿 Crouching Tiger is also awesome aswell; only seen it the once; but absolutely loved it; what a film! 😀 I haven’t seen ‘No Time To Die’ since the cinema; but did really enjoy it 👍👍 Hope you have a great weekend Roy mate and maybe I should do a similar video like this and oh believe me some of the films I still haven’t seen; I get booed at lol 😂🤣
@samglendenning9884 cheers Sam you should go for it 👍 😀 At the end of the day it's a bit of fun. There's so many films and it's difficult to keep on top of it all. You're in for a treat when you finally get round to Aliens 👽. I'm probably in the minority but I prefer the original Night of the living dead to Dawn. I find it far more than a zombie film and a look at far deeper problems at that time. Thanks as always Sam 😃
By the time you get around to No Time To Die EON will still be wondering which direction to take Bond and have done bollocks all, just like the last five years!
@@SuperGrumpyDaddy hey Mark 👋 I think they're just waiting for me to catch up.
Haha enjoyed this one mate, You will have to get them watched asap and let everyone know what you think, Minus the Bond one of course.
@bushmanblu426 Thanks Mark. Glad you enjoyed it. That's the plan and has been for a long time.
I feel like it would 'out' the entire community if people did video responses to this one, including myself! I'm not the biggest PTA fan, his films can be a bit hit and miss for me, but I loved Magnolia when I saw it and it's definitely due for a re-watch, and I only watched Boogie Nights quite recently myself! Also don't worry if you don't get round to No Time to Die any time soon, or perhaps ever 😂. There are a lot of famous films and classics that I've never seen, but thankfully they aren't yet in my collection. Actually sat on my shelves, my pile of shame would include Superman, Almost Famous, Dances with Wolves and The Last of the Mohicans. I don't even want to think about how long Shoah has been sat waiting to be watched...
@goosesmovies Warren, I'd love some video responses. Sam has said he he is up for the challenge. Knowing your tastes I'm pretty certain Almost Famous would be perfect for you. Such a great film. Sam has also championed Magnolia so I think I should prioritise that one.
Great topic mate 👍🏻 I think we all have a list like this 😅
@@popcornandhorror I think we do Ash. 😆 going to have to get around to some of those ones. Thanks 👍 buddy.
Hi Roy do you have a surround sound system or soundbar for your movie watching as if not I'd consider investing as you'll honestly appreciate the sound mix so much more on it, Your just missing so much detail in the movie through Mono TV speakers mate 👍🏻
Hello Ron. Yes it's something I definitely need to invest in. I have an oled TV and to be honest the speaker isn't terrible on it but as you say I do need to get a decent sound system. I will have to sweet talk the wife 😆
@@roybarratt5609 Good luck mate 🤞🏻
Hi Roy, really enjoyed this one. You've left me with seven films to try and get hold of,looking forward to the challenge. More like this mate 👍
@petegee hi Pete sorry if I cost you too much money 😆 they're all great films
Hi Roy, Bust Stop’s premise is odd to say the least, what kind of message were the studios putting out 😬 ahh The Square Ring, that’s the one I mentioned in passing, like you say, we’ve been singing Dearden’s praises these past weeks, we are all on the same page 🧐 (and that one stars Jack Warner, who I mentioned in Jigsaw) I’ve not watched Promised Land yet (I do have a copy though) if Jurassic Park 3 was a stand alone film (no sequels) then people would love it a lot more. Nice one Roy, take care mate👍😃👍
@kermitsghost morning Alan Promised Land is fantastic. I think you'll enjoy it when you get round to it 👍 I don't know why I've been on a dinosaur kick lately. Maybe because I'm slowly becoming one 😆 Thanks 👍 mate
@@roybarratt5609 as long as you young at heart Roy 👍

Hi John thanks 😊 there's certainly some good bargains to be had at the charity shop
Evening mate 👍🏻 I do have fun with the lost world, like u say not a classic like the 1st but still lots of dinosaw fun to be had! 😁 and even number 3 sometimes gets a rewatch from me too 😄👍🏻 I find van damme very hit and miss on his movies
Hello Ash 👋 sometimes all you need is some dinosaurs 🦕 😉
Glad you liked legionaire nice watches.
Yep a real pleasant surprise
Bill Travers fantastic in Gorgo better than Godzilla imo 👌🏻 I like the original 3 Jurassic park movies nice watches mate 👍🏻
Hi Stuart not seen Gorgo. I'll have to look out for that 👍 thanks 👍 mate 😊
Good stuff, Roy. Always good to hear more being said about Basil Dearden films. I’ve not seen The Square Ring and doesn’t look like it’s available but I’ll keep an eye out for it. I’ll have to rewatch Bus Stop, I saw it when young but really don’t remember it. I have it on a Monroe collection.
Hello Neil. I think The Square Ring is pretty obscure. It only has 100 logs on Letterboxd and 300 on IMDB. Bus Stop what a strange film.
I’ve always liked Jurassic Park 3👍🏻🦖
Dinosaurs eating people. What's not to like 👍
Hi Roy, Larry is indeed a Star 👍 there’s another Indicator titles which stars Randolph Scoot and its Comanche Station 🧐 did you say Tin Star was set in Liverpool 😦 I thought it was an American show 😆 DVD’s you say…..ahh yeah I remember that format 🤣 (only kidding, I have a few in a separate bookcase in my living room 🤫) nice one Roy, take care mate👍😃👍
Hello Alan 👋 so 5 Randolph Scott ones and here's me thinking I was nearly there. 😆 I think with Tin Star (and don't quote me) Tim Roth plays and Englishman in America in the first 2 seasons and returns to blighty in the third 👍👍
Hi Roy, Been getting into my Black and white war films, will stick They who dare and The silent enemy on my list, they sound great on a soundbar Really enjoyed The Villainess as well mate so hope you like it this time round buddy.
Hey Mark I need to get a decent soundbar. I only have the tv speaker. Not ideal 😕
@@roybarratt5609 I picked up a Sony one for £200, well Christmas present from my wife, If you get one make sure it has a subwoofer, the ones without are usually not very good.
Great charity shop find there mate with that arrow. Enter the void I thought was pretty good, not sure how many times I can rewatch it. But it's very stylish in the way it's done. 😎👍🏻
Thanks Ash. It's a shame it wasn't the Enter the video store that was in the picture but you can't win them all. 😀
@roybarratt5609 Yeah worth a punt I guess mate. Like u said at least cex will probably trade it for a voucher of similar value if u don't get on with it. 😁👍🏻
Good stuff, Roy. Nice to get those war movies, I haven’t seen those. I remember Ballad of the Sad Cafe coming out as it was Simon Callow having a go at directing, I haven’t seen it though. I quite enjoyed Burnt and Boiling Point. Nice to get those Network DVDs too. I’m pretty sure I watched We’ll Meet Again at the time but don’t remember it
Hello Neil. I do like a good food film. There's a Japanese film on Eureka called Sweet Bean set in a little snack bar that's absolutely marvellous. The Ballad of Sad Cafe looks like something I'll enjoy and couldn't not get it for a couple of quid. Thanks mate.
Great stuff Roy 😀🍿🎸🎶 I been meaning to check out ‘Le Mempris’ for a while now; not sure wherever to get the 4K edition or just the Blu-Ray for that one 😊👍 ‘Marathon Man’ is great and I heard good things about ‘The Seven Ups’; I only had the drink 😂👌
It's a decent drink 🍸 😆 also it's a busy night for Snow White 🤔 😆

Hello Sam 👋 I will have to give The Villainess another go. I was probably in the wrong mindset 🤔 ah so there is a Boiling Point bluray. I'll have to investigate. As you always say. Thanks for dropping by 😃
