Hi Roy. The Swimmer is a great film. I recently watched The Leopard based on one of your previous videos. What a wonderful film. Thank you for your videos. Such a lovely channel. No gimmic, no nastiness, just lovely. You deserve more subscribers. Keep up the good work.
Great video mate 👍🏻 so glad to see sightseers in there! Love that one, I'll need to check out the 2nd title u mentioned, sounds good, and the swimmer sounds interesting too. I've seen Bright eyes and didn't mind it 😎👍🏻
Hi Roy, thanks for the recommendations 👌 you can say Biopic either way…it’s all good 👌 I went to school with a kid called Steve Oram…unfortunately not the same guy though 😆 Steve was in The Worlds end too..he was the motorcycle police officer. The Swimmer was earmarked for the HMV Premium collection at one point but the lost the rights. Nice one mate, take care👍😃👍
Hey Alan. The pronunciation stumped me for a sec. I'm easily distracted 😆 glad we've cleared it up 👍 That's right Steve was in The World's End. He crops up in quite a lot of things with cameo roles. The would have been a great title for HMV. Thanks mate 👍 👌
A good mixed selection, Roy. I wasn’t overkeen on Sightseers nor Queen & Slim but it’s been a while and I should rewatch. I adore The Swimmer. Mildred Pierce great too. Too Late For Tears, a bit daft but it really zips along and love Lizabeth Scott. I’d like to see The Incident and I remember Champion being released in cinemas (and the story of Bob and Aldaniti) but don’t think I’ve ever actually seen it. Great video
Thanks Neil I really do recommend The Incident. I was on the edge of my seat throughout. It's a shame as streaming takes over and these films theoretically should be easier to watch in fact the opposite is true and more and more stuff is delisted.
Some of my favourite lesser-known films are:- Let it Ride (1989), Disorganized Crime (1989), The Big Steal (1990), Malcolm (1986), Caged (1950) and The Devil Doll (1936). Also worth checking are:- Dr Cyclops (1940), The Quick and the Dead (1995) and Gun Crazy (1949).
Great stuff Roy, I’ve added a few to my watch list 👍 a few random recommendations if you haven’t seen them… Toy Soldiers (1991), Death and the Maiden (1994), Trial by Fire (2018), Miracle Mile (1988), One False Move (1992).
I actually picked up Queen and Slim on Blu-Ray in Fopp in Edinburgh - James will know where that is! Yet to watch it though but I’ll get round to it. One I always enjoy is Awakenings from 1990 starring Robin Williams and Robert De Niro. Easier to get on DVD, because the Blu-Ray is rare.
Hi Ian. I'm sure you'll enjoy Queen and Slim when you get to it. If you hang around cex for long enough you're bound to bump into James. I don't often get on with Robin Williams but I will add that one to my list. Thanks mate 👍

Thanks for those lovely words Beverley. Life is too short for nastiness. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos and getting some recommendations.
I love staring at the masters of cinema collection it looks so nice on the shelf.
Me too. I'm often just staring at it with a far away look on my face.
Great selection of movies ❤ I love The Keeper as I’m a huge fan of David Kross after he was in the Reader. Love the video 🙏🏻
Hi Jodie thanks very much. You know The Reader was very close to making the list. Another great one people don't talk about. ❤️

Hey Ash it's actually a long time since I last saw Sightseers. Definitely due a rewatch 👍
Hi Roy, really enjoyed this one. You've left me with seven films to try and get hold of,looking forward to the challenge. More like this mate 👍
@petegee hi Pete sorry if I cost you too much money 😆 they're all great films

Gun Crazy is magnificent and could and maybe should have made this list. I also like Quick and the dead. I will investigate the others. Many thanks
The first three I've got an I agree with you they are great movies. The others sound like great movies as well. So I will look out for them
All great in my opinion David. Some are a bit difficult to track down but well worth it.

Some good recommendations Roy The Swimmer is a long term favourite or mine and I have just ordered myself a copy of Sightseers.
I'd never heard of The Swimmer until last year. It was a real pleasant surprise
Big eyes is actually based on a true story. And yes it is a great movie
Hello David, yes I remember seeing the photographs at the end of the film.
@@roybarratt5609 as soon as I seen the paintings I knew that this was based on a true story
@davidmckee2898 The Wife with Glenn Close has a similar storyline. I enjoyed that one too.
