Love ‘Punch Drunk Love’ aswell Roy; such a fantastic PTA film; my second fav Adam Sandler film after ‘Uncut Gems’ 💎 I would recommend the film ‘Reign Over Me’ with him & Don Cheadle’; one of Sandler’s best performances there 😊 All those three films I mentioned are well overdue a rewatch 😱

Hi Roy, I saw a documentary on this film and apparently there are superhero undertones to Adams character, even in his clothing, I’ve also heard the]at James has an Adam Sandler tattoo on his chest 😆 take care mate👍😃👍

I don’t mind a few of Sandlers films. I find him easy watching and quite amusing. There are a few films I hate of his though. My mind is always very busy. And Ive often said watching a sandler comedy is like having a short term labotomy. I can dumb down for 100 mins or so
This is one I struggled with when I saw it. I didn't think Sandler was very good unfortunately. I'm quite a fan of his silly comedies, and I thought he was excellent in Uncut Gems, but this one just didn't click for me. I think PTA is a director I don't always connect with for some reason. This one is sat in my collection, though I haven't revisited it for a few years, but after hearing your high praise of it, maybe it's high time I give it another go! I do like Emily Mortimer a lot, and you mention Phillip Seymor Hoffman's performance which I remember was pretty wild to say the least! (Before you send it on, check out the hilarious extra 'Mattress Man Commercial'. It's endless debate whether there is a cut in it somewhere, or whether Phillip Seymour Hoffman actually did the full thing!)
Good morning Warren. I do like Uncut Gems. That's 2 Sandler films I like but that's between the two of us. I've decided to keep it so I've ordered James a copy. I'm going to trawl through the features. What I've seen so far of PTA I've really liked. I have Magnolia and Boogie nights sat unwatched on the shelves. My watch pile is insane.
A good Sandler movie...that's unbelievable! I'll add it to the list.

On sale right now HMV the Criterion version. I believe £13 great movie. And I don't like Andy Sandler well not his comedies anyway
Yes I think Amazon is same price too. Definitely his best movie.
