Leopards Of The Sabi Sands, Cell Phone Footage Of Beautiful Leopard Sightings From Ulusaba Game Reserve
The Sabi Sands Game Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park in South Africa, is renowned for its exceptional leopard sightings, making it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Ulusaba Game Reserve, Sir Richard Branson's private game reserve, is situated within this rich ecosystem and offers an unparalleled safari experience, particularly when it comes to viewing leopards.
Leopards of Sabi Sands
High Density of Leopards: The Sabi Sands is famous for its high density of leopards, offering frequent and close-up encounters with these elusive big cats. The leopards in this area are known to be more accustomed to vehicles, allowing for exceptional photographic opportunities and in-depth observation of their natural behaviour.
Behavioural Observations: The leopards in Sabi Sands exhibit fascinating behaviours, often seen hunting, interacting with their cubs, and engaging in territorial disputes. The reserve's guides and trackers are highly skilled at locating these leopards, often based on subtle signs like tracks and calls.
Research and Conservation: Extensive research and conservation efforts are in place to monitor and protect the leopard population in Sabi Sands. Data collected over decades have contributed to a deep understanding of leopard ecology, social structures, and interactions with other wildlife.
Ulusaba Game Reserve
Location and Luxury: Ulusaba, meaning "place of little fear" in the local Shangaan language, is strategically located in the western sector of the Sabi Sands. It offers luxurious accommodations with breathtaking views of the African bush, blending exclusivity and comfort with wildlife adventure.
Expert Guides and Trackers: The reserve employs highly trained guides and trackers who are adept at finding and interpreting leopard activity. Their expertise ensures that guests have a high chance of experiencing memorable leopard sightings during their stay.
Unique Experiences: Guests at Ulusaba can participate in twice-daily game drives, which are the best opportunities to spot leopards. The morning and evening drives increase the chances of encountering these nocturnal predators when they are most active.
Conservation and Community Engagement: Ulusaba is involved in numerous conservation and community projects. These initiatives not only aim to protect the local wildlife, including leopards, but also support the surrounding communities, promoting sustainable tourism practices.
Leopard Spotting Tips at Ulusaba
Prime Times: Early mornings and late afternoons are the best times for leopard sightings. These periods coincide with their peak activity times, increasing the likelihood of spotting them on the move or hunting.
Silent Observations: When a leopard is sighted, maintaining silence and minimising movement can enhance the experience, as leopards are more likely to exhibit natural behaviours if they do not feel threatened.
Photography Readiness: Having camera equipment ready at all times is crucial. Leopards can be elusive and may appear and disappear quickly. Using a zoom lens will allow for capturing detailed images without disturbing the animal.
Knowledgeable Interaction: Engaging with guides and trackers, asking questions, and learning about leopard habits and habitats can enrich the safari experience, providing deeper insights into these magnificent creatures.
Ulusaba Game Reserve in the Sabi Sands offers a unique blend of luxury and adventure, making it an ideal destination for those looking to witness the majestic leopards of the African bush.

silly birb
I saw one this morning, beautiful bird.
How to know if it is really a black crowned night heron? What are the basis pls...
Ignoring that one commenter in the comment section but this video was very interesting!
Family loves❤ #lovelions #lions
Really awesome to see this 🤩
Happy cat ❤🐆
Very happy that's for sure 🙂
❤❤❤❤❤ Incredible, fills me with such peace to hear the sounds of the kruger wind and all..
Glad you enjoyed it
This is truly amazing, thanks for all the shares and hard work #TeamSTOK
Thanks for the kind words, keep watching
That's flipping incredible 😮🤯
Sighting of a lifetime indeed
Oh my God what a cute little guy😭😭😭💓💓💓 #lioncubs
Adorable!
Such a beautiful voice!
I agree, and thank you
Very cute and cool! The neck is noble white velvety. A beautiful creature in grassland.
They really are stunning antelope
🪶
What a stunning sighting ❤
Thanks so much, it was awesome
Heya! I was planning on making a game based on the Kruger where you take on the roles of different animals like lions or even baboons! Say you got any ideas, animal or location ideas?
Please let me know more, or DM/email me and we can discuss further, will be a pleasure
The most magnificent cat, they are so elusive and hard to spot it's like gold when you finally get a sight of them so this is incredible footage <3
Really are gold these cats, thanks for the comment
Actually in this clip there are both sacred and Hadada ibis . The clip i commented on was different as i think it was around C.T area and clearly showed Hadada ibis Just saying !
Yes I know, but the focus of the video is on the Sacred Ibis, as per the title and close ups of them. Thank you
These birds always disturb my sleep at night, they stand behind my window and sing till i wake up to pray,we have no water around and i even wonder if they can fly.
I think you have Spotted Thick-knees, they do not occur around water, and are also nocturnal. We have videos of them too if you would like to listen. And yes, they can fly, but are regarded as ground birds.
@@storiesofthekruger tbh i thought they were witches or evil spirits or something
@@sambreezy170 They can sound a bit creepy that's for sure!
Stunning colours ❤
They have amazing colouration
After the Bush babies, they're the 2nd cutest and felt so much joy watching them run around our garden at our chalet.
Have to agree there, they are so cute and fascinating to watch
It's feet look so dinosaur 🦖 líke 😱😱🤯
Yip, really strange and prehistoric looking
Not ducks . Hadada ibis
This is an African Sacred Ibis.
What an amazing experience watching this ❤😮
Thank you so much for the kind comment
Pomba nós chamamos aqui no Brasil 🆗️🇧🇷👍😍🐥
Thanks for your comment
Such a red chest, didn't realise it was thaaaaatttt red
The wild Laughing Doves are in much better condition than the suburban Laughing Doves, so the colours are more vibrant
i think we know who the Kookaburra is related to ;)
Oh yes! 100% that is for sure
Had 2 lions there last year
That is really cool and special
Shame which oxpecker did they think disappeared? Underrated bird in my book 🤗🥰
It was this species, the Yellow-billed Oxpecker, and it did disappear, it was locally extent from around 1915 until 1980.
To get and be so close to them just outside your door step is unbelievable. ❤😮
it really is, one of the great reasons to stay at Letaba
Great Spot and Great capture guys ❤🐦🐦❤️#birdingsouthafrica
Thanks so much
😊🙏❤️🐦
Os cavalinhos mais bonitos da natureza ❤🦓🦓🦓🦓😊
They really are beautiful, I love them
As a South African, the Zebra is just not as appreciated as it should be. When you look at them and their brilliant individual patterns you realise how beautifully incredible they are ❤
Very true, they are really amazing animals, and so pretty
Doves are nicer in the Kruger 🤣🤣
The African Mourning Dove is quite a rare bird... Awesome to see
🆗️🇧🇷👍🐥🐤
Es identico al tero , que habita en sudamerica . En Argentina abundan por todos lados , son exelentes vigias y protectores .
Thanks for the comment, they are quite common here too, and are very good "lookouts"
Amazing
Thanks so much for watching and your kind comment
For me one of the most beautiful birds in SA.
They are very appealing, that's for sure!
Now an unmistakable call for me as we get them in jukskei park ❤
Really cool to hear!
The best birding experience ever!!❤❤
Was really amazing, the Southern Kruger also has some fantastic birding opportunities!
What a trip I miss it so much ❤
Always miss the Kruger
This was such an intense thing to witness. Baboons don't play around and I really thought we were going to see carnage. 😮
There are always fun and games with these guys, and they do have little spats, but generally nothing serious within the troop.
📽🔊👐🌎👐🕊👍
Thank you
Truly Iconic Kruger companions 😂😂❤
They are indeed, and we love them!
Ele é lindo 👍😁❤️🐦
Thank you, he really is
Stunning birds. So iconicly Kruger ❤
Totally agree
I love these birds so much, one of my wife’s nicknames is hornbill 😂
Haha, that is so amazing 😂😂😂😂😂
I like voice of this funny bird. I'm from Uzbekistan and these doves always live near our home. Its voice associated with childhood and beginning of summer holidays at school
Beautiful memories then... Thanks for your lovely comment
Fantastic quality guys. I loved every second of that video❤
Thanks so much my friend, truly appreciated
Beautiful red mane♥️
They were in stunning condition, such a privilege to see!
