Ingredients: 100g butter 400g dates 1 cup of sugar 50g of strawberry jam (optional) 2 tablespoons of dark muscovado sugar (definitely use this) 2 cups of rolled oats 150g of almond meal 200g of pecans (I would put more next time...300g) 2 serves o...

McCarthy Road Bitumen Wall - Punchy Climbs EP06
Im 90kg, new at cycling but have been training for years. Since im heavy, should i be eating more thsn 50G of carbs per hour, to make sure i dont run out of energy.
Love this review, I just bought this bike used and I'm eager to get it and ride it!
thanks sir
These are wild! Thanks a lot!
My Fulcrum Zero Carbon wheelset (1330 g) weighs less than 1900 g including Continental Grand Prix TT (190 g) and Supersonic Conti tubes (50g) and is one of the best wheelsets I tested (I tested several high end wheelsets). Your Fulcrum Zero aluminium is also excellent but heavier. Good quality from Campagnolo. No need to buy wheels from China.
CAAD so GOOD
Thank you for considering a plant based alternative to your recipe. Cheers.
Can't beat steel for comfort and ling life, be keeping my 86 motioncraft
awesome video, just goes to show that it comes down to physics.
Final review, you left out the Roubaix.
Great video
the problem with the caad12 and caad13 are CDALE company using these frames to force us to buy their parts only. The seat post on the 12 is not normal sized, and the 13 is proprietary. the BB is now called bb30a and limits you to sram and cdale unless you know the shaft is long enough!
Great video, Cameron. I'm going for my first century in a decade tomorrow. I'll be sure to use your nutrition recommendations. Thanks! Another video I'd like to see is safe places to ride, off the streets and away from drivers with anger management problems (you know what I mean).
did you use the same tyres?

what is the replacement for the sticker? mine don't read the speed and power.. it is connected to the app gadget but won't give speed, power, etc..
Wow. Just - wow. I've owned a Wahoo Kickr SNAP for nearly 4 years, Never ever has it given me believable speed/power readings no matter how many times I've conducted Spindowns. Worked fine for the Spindown - but when I've gone to ride - the resistance becomes ridiculously high and I never attain a speed / power reading that's reflective of my effort. Between 25% and 40% too low. This demonstration reinforces what I've come to experience through years of using a Snap, a Tickr, a Cadence Sensor and the Wahoo app - everything Wahoo makes is garbage!
The best CAAD13
allez sprint costs about the same 3400 AUD now smh.. and its always sold out
Dirt in a can, you beauty!!
No downhill run? The steel bike might have an advantage there.
Im making these bars. I hope i can handle the awesome 😂
obviously a narrow and shallow list of Alloy bike reviews. Polygon strattos S5 105 disc is the best value for money Aluminium alloy bikes for beginners. Not an overpriced and overhyped so called branded bikes. By the way specialize'ds explaination to justify the fugly joint weld is laughable.
Awesome video, planning on doing a 100km bike ride next year. This advice will probably make it way more enjoyable
Best video i have seen about this topic so far! Thumbs up
I own a caad13 , with a few upgrade as a knot 64 hallowgram wheelset , ceramic bb, 165shimano crank. It’s stupidly fast and reactive, born to climb and bomb descend.can keep up with any other top of the range carbon frame bicycle that money can buy on the market . That’s my Simple opinion
Once agressive marketing convince me that road disc are the best. However I was fortunate enough to test different bikes, and come to conclusion that ultimate bike is carbon, rim brake, 10 sp mechanical (12x34 cassette, 50x34 for riding solo), sub 7 kg, 28mm tires. As Durianrider sayd: You want to ride it all day with smile on your face. Bicycle manufacturers produce nothing better yet.
A carbon bike doesn't have anything on a modern custom made steel or titanium bike. I had a Colnago M10 carbon bike then I got me a custom made frame made from titanium that I selected and requested the builder us. I told him I liked the ride and the geometry of the Colnago so the design had to be the same. I really didn't need a new bike since I already had what I wanted you're saying right? Well carbon is a garbage material and doesn't last. The Colnago developed issues. That's one reason why I chose titanium. But the ride and the handling of the titanium bike felt the same. The titanium bike isn't slower. There isn't any difference in comfort as far as I can tell but if there is I would attribute that to being able to use a wider tire on the titanium bike. To see videos of the two bikes click on my avatar. That way you'll know I ain't talking shite. Let me say this, if you are going to spend a lot of money on a bike go with custom Titanium and give carbon what it deserves, the middle finger. 😉
Hi there. Thanks for sharing. I know this is an old video. But I have to say the Garmin has more waterproof stability but the moment you sweat the 4 screws will be impossible to get because of the oxidation
Love this segment. I reckon I could master my first century if I make a batch of those.
jumped on the bmx and sent it 100ks up to mandurah today. fuck it
This bike was really easy to assemble czcams.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
I’m enjoying the bike so far czcams.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.
I just purchased this bike and I would like to add a carbon seat post and carbon stem, would you have any idea which size stem and seat post I would need please? Sorry I nothing about these things but any help or useful links would be great. Thanks
My 7900A dura ace has a 53/42. The 42 is a big 5 bolt affair. I’d like to switch to 53/39. Any advice out there?
Make a newer vs
I've had nothing but an aluminum Specialized Crux with road tires for 8 years- I love it. I ride a Selle SMP Pro saddle for about 4 years now and just replaced the entire Tiagra groupset with 105 and upgraded to a Ritchey carbon fiber seatpost and Gatorskins, rides like a dream!
As an endurance junkie, I’ve got a triathlon bike which is ALL the aero, Caledonia which is so comfy, and looking at possibly adding a Trek Emonda or Madone for those days where you just feel like going aero, fast, and no F’s given.
If I were you I would take the Dura Ace components, Wheels, and any other upgrades from the TCR and put them on the Emonda.
That 80s music! 😂
Mate it's a pity we haven't got smell-a-vision. Better leave the doors and windows open before the missus gets home. Pretty impressive ingredients list, however the problem as I see it given the way inflation has hit this place it looks like we'll need to take out a bank loan to cover the ingredients cost. 👍👍👍
Yep with inflation and cost of living, just melt sugar to a syrup. $2 per 2kg bag. Job done
Why did you pick such a heavy steel bike? Only low end Japanese bikes weighed 22 to 23 lbs. Where as my 531Reynolds tubing race bike was 20.4 lbs in 1977.
the background music is distracting
nice ... thanks
Damn , I tried not to blink but I couldnt help it and missed all the bikes . We’re you having to pay royalty fees by the half second to be able to show them ? Perhaps it would have been more interesting when discussing the ways bikes were different , to have shown them a bit more rather than a palm tree ? It’s a very nice plant but not nicer than seeing some bikes
Dude your audio is freaking horrible…do better if you want my subscription
GREAT VIDEO COMPARING THE TWO BIKES my only suggestion is upgrade the gearing and tire size on the old bike and improve the ride experience dramatically . BUT if you can own both !!
What’s the weight of this bike ? Cheers
Watch the video
@@melbournecyclingsegments7510 you could have told me the weight with less effort you knob
Another thing I can’t justify the cost of a carbon bike a lot of guys in the club ride carbon yes they are quicker but you have to remember too is I’ve got 20-30 and in some cases 40 years on these guys so I don’t think I’m doing to bad for a 62 year old.
Gday just found you on you tube very interesting test I’ve just bought a Scapin race bike and comparing it to my Giant Contend I much prefer to ride the steel frame on the flat undulating road like beach Rd and leave the aluminium bike for the hills. I also have a Apolo steel frame bike with similar gearing to your Repco and I don’t mind riding that on the flat from time to time.
