    You nailed it right on the head regarding the straps. The TICKR strap slips down so easily, no matter how tight I would adjust it. Pro Tip: The TICKR monitor will clip directly on to the Garmin's strap, which I've never had adjustment issues with in 5 years of use. So use those Garmin straps if you have them. Another plus for the TICKR...it works with my HRV recording software, whereas the Garmin doesn't.

      @@melbournecyclingsegments7510 You are very welcome. It was actually one of my riding buddies that mentioned it to me when I was whining about how lousy the Wahoo strap is during a ride. I'm happy to pass on the tip.

      Couldn't agree more. My garmin monitor just died. Got a wahoo and it was slipping down the entire time.

    thanks you are the first person to talk about the extra sensors on the dual garmin, this must help me a lot

    Hi there. Thanks for sharing. I know this is an old video. But I have to say the Garmin has more waterproof stability but the moment you sweat the 4 screws will be impossible to get because of the oxidation

    Wait, correct me if I'm wrong the HRM-DUAL also has bluetooth support. But your video says otherwise...

      My bad, the Garmin HRM I was reviewing is the earlier non-bluetooth version. Just remove the word "dual" from the video and we're good 😂😂

    Hey! If the Garmin HRM strap is connected to my Fenix 6 Pro, will the strap send a live heart rate reading to my watch? Or will my watch reflect the heartrate data it's getting from the sensor on the actual watch? Thanks

    Great video, and how many hours they last in activities? I have a Wrist HR and only last 8 or 9 hours on, its a difference if i use one of these in bluetooth? My watch can give more hours with a strap instead the wrist HR? Thanx

    Hello i recently got the new garmin dual hrm and when i wanna connect it to my wahoo there are 2 options Ant and bluetooth which 1 should i choose?

    • @melbournecyclingsegments7510
      @melbournecyclingsegments7510  Před 4 lety +2

      I generally use ant+ for everything but my Garmin computer doesn't give me the option of Bluetooth. I don't think it makes any difference really except maybe battery life. Maybe try both and see if there is any difference between the two options

      ANT+ tends to be a more reliable connection, particularly when you have multiple devices

      The wahoo tickr worked perfectly with my Android Samsung phone. I never tried the garmin. Some phones support ant+ and Bluetooth, I think Apple does not but you might want to check that

      And you replaced the battery? because that is about how long the battery lasts. Seems like too much of a coincidence to happen 3 times.
