    I just purchased this bike and I would like to add a carbon seat post and carbon stem, would you have any idea which size stem and seat post I would need please? Sorry I nothing about these things but any help or useful links would be great. Thanks

    Hermosa bici. Los frenos de rueda no son problema. Al contrario, te enseñan a saber donde apretar y donde no. koolstop va de maravilla. Vivo en colombia y lo he usado en alta montaña con buenas prestaciones en bajada. El precio es mas que razonable para las otras marcas de bicicletas. Un saludo y buen video.

    Hi! Would you rather pay for the entry carbon frame or their top aluminium frame? Considering extra 350 usd por the carbon one? I don’t know if i should get the emonda ALR 5 or the SL 5 with extra 350 usd. Thaks for your video! Also, between the ALR 5 and the Merida scultura 400 for the same price as de ALR which one would you get?

    • @melbournecyclingsegments7510
      @melbournecyclingsegments7510  Před 4 lety +1

      For aluminium, at the same price I'd get the Trek instead of the Merida. For emonda alr vs carbon for 350 usd is a tough choice as they are both great bikes. Get whichever you prefer if you can afford either. If the budget is tight, the alr is an awesome bike don't worry. I have found the carbon sl5 to be a great bike and I got a good deal on it.

    Nice bike!!! I am now considering buying an Emonda. I wanted a Domane but can't believe how much they weigh. Currently ride Scott Speedster S20 AL 2012 all 105. Started riding 3 years ago now riding around 200 km per week (50-80 km rides). What are you thoughts? Recommendations? Cheers in advance.

    • @melbournecyclingsegments7510
      @melbournecyclingsegments7510  Před 4 lety +1

      Check out my endurance bike comparison for domane etc.. Im hearing you regarding the weight of some endurance bikes. Perhaps consider the canyon endurace as a simpler lighter endurance bike. Otherwise some of the current lightweight Climbing bikes are not as aggressive as they used to be. Eg compare geometry of current and previous supersix. The emonda is a bit like that, slightly more stack than my tcr

    What's your view on bb90. I want to buy Emonda sl6 but I came to know bb 90 are not good, they make sound and lots of thing. I want to keep my next bike for a long period so what I should buy TREK emonda alr or carbon?? As I don't want stop riding my bike at any point of time bcz of bottom bracket or bb90 somehow damaged my bike frame as some bearing changes down the road can loosen the bb. Plzz advise

      If you want good quality Chinese carbon clinchers I would highly recommend Yoeleo. I got C60s and they can be a bit of a handful (but look mental). A 40mm depth would be a better all-rounder for all sorts of terrain

    As a commuter bike, have you taken it off pavement into some gravel? I'm hoping it would be a do it all bike like the new Domane.

    • @melbournecyclingsegments7510
      @melbournecyclingsegments7510  Před 4 lety

      I haven't personally ridden one but looks like there is no more rim brake option. Otherwise it seems to have gained some aero features and I'm sure it's the usual story of lighter, stiffer and more comfortable. We'd be talking pretty subtle improvements really

    Direct mount rim brakes are crap compared to my Campag Chorus rim brakes
    You may want to upgrade the pads to get better stopping power ..imo
