Imo the reason Rhaenys got back is to kill Aemond, not Vhagar. She knew that she can't kill the dragon and that she'll die, but if she managed to kill Aemond then the Greens would have basically no dragons. That said, yes, Meleys was the black's largest dragon (its previous rider was Daemon's mother), now the title goes to Caraxes. However the largest dragon now is probably Vermithor, who is on Dragonstone but that doesn't have a rider yet

As a book reader and to my fellow book reader the book is not 100% true or reliable. Its a fake history propaganda George RR Martin confirm that. The show is the closest truth to what really happen.

I cried watching the episode and then cried again with this reaction. Meleys looking at Rhaenys as she died just hurt my heart. Seeing Meleys being able to injure Vhagar, solidified what a beast she was. Rhaenys as well, I'm definitely upset that her and Meleys died, but at least they went out fighting together. Pretty big loss for Team Black though, since they showed how truly valuable both of them were to the war in this episode. Watching the dragons fight, I had to stand up, I was too nervous. It was both awesome and anxiety inducing to watch. I felt bad for poor Sunfyre, even though he's Aegon's dragon. I'm sure this is just the first of many dragon fights to come, so I'll get to experience more conflicted feelings.

Aegon is no were near being the worst king, he is probably one of the best. This is entirely Aemond and Cole's fault for continuing to withhold information from their King. Literally the same thing Aegon did with Otto. Aemond is an idiot, and Cole is an idiot for not seeing that Aemond is the true loose cannon, not Aegon.

Princess Rhenys does not care about the people, remember in S1E9 when she came up with her dragon and stepped on a bunch of small folks but refused to burn the green? also, She wanted to end the war by trying to kill Vhagar, kinda like a suicide mission at that point. Good way to die for a dragon rider tho.

Great reaction guys. Proud to say I was part of this battle, took weeks to film so it’s awesome to finally get to see how it looks in the final cut. So worth the hard work, long days and discomfort, i think at the final count i died about 20 times 😂.

this saga really began to be appreciated after the release of games such as World Of Warcraft, Lineage 2 and Elder Scrolls. we went from watching these movies, to trying and playing these same characters, live. you wanted to be a swift ranger dancing through a fight? or a grumpy dwarf hammering people into the ground? well, YOU COULD! and, IT PAYED OFF!... and the outcome of those decisions was yours to make, and unpredictable, not some pre-written lore.... EVERY time you went back and played, was a different adventure. people watching these today, will never know what it is to play those games, as they were.

Rhaenys returned because regardless of the ambush, the order from her queen and the original intention was to secure rooks rest and stop criston cole's advance. she could've easily fled on several occasions but that would mean effectively giving up the crownlands and maybe the war at this point, so se took her chances and decided to fight. she already beat aegon and she saw how ruthless aemond was, so in a sense dhe was hoping she could end the whole war for rhaenyra here once and for all,. In a sense she knew the danger she was in so you could say she was effectively commiting suicide, but she also knew what fleeing would mean for rhaenyras war effort, so she stayed and fought... say what you wil about rhaenys but if she was the queen she seemed the kind to take on the battle herself rather than send people to do the fighting for her, something we see in rhaenyra too, which is why she stands by her

Bro I’m abt to 💩 on Rhanyra. This death is on her and she has been making terrible decision since season 1. People are rooting for her cause she’s a woman but the ideal ruler of this Westerosi world is truly Daemon and he’s right. He’s George Martin’s fav character in this world cause he’s a gray character, goodhearted but capable of making the hard decisions. Otto literally came to Dragon stone and Daemon was ready to kill him which was a bad decision but she let him walk. He is the hand of the king, the Lord of Oldtown, the mastermind behind this coup and you could have taken him prisoner. Otto as a prisoner or dead is a huge advantage. Then she lingered on this whole matter on the pretext that she meant to keep peace. Lady they have usurped your throne, there are armies on the march, and they killed your son, they never meant to keep peace. Like Daemon said, “the enemies have declared war, what are you gonna do abt it”. Then she let Daemon walk away without her permission all for nothing. You married the guy to align yourself with his strength and demeanor. Say what you want abt Daemon’s wild nature, he loves her and would not outright disobey her if she commands it. Now she allowed the enemy to divide them and weakens her cause and expose herself. Then Cole has been raising an army on your land, terrorizing the people under your banner. (For context, dragon stone and the Targaryens rule the crownlands, but Kingslanding is also located there) so regardless if you sit on the throne or not, as the ruler of dragonstone you cannot let that audacity slide. She wanted to learn who would march to battle at her side but forget rally her homeland banners’s in time. Then she decides to head to king’s landing, put yourself at risk, without an actual hand in your absence to keep things in order, all to talk to a woman with no actual power just cause she sent you some letters of apologies for your dead son. She is lucky Alicent is as weak as herself cause personally I would have taken her prisoner or slain her then pick the rest of her crew one by one. Lastly, she sent Rhaenys by herself after your counsel clearly told you they are daring you to take actions. It’s obviously a trap. Kings landing is right across dragonstone, they have no threatening dragon besides vhagar. Even if Baela never reported seeing vhagar, she should have peeped that trap. SHE IS NOT A WISE RULER, SHE IS A PACIFIST. THOSE 2 CHARACTERISTICS DO NOT ASSOCIATE

Mannnn Rhaenys is so doom the moment she volunteered, but it's still such a bummer to watch. She's my one true queen.🥲 Aemond burning his brother is a long time coming, but it's still scary to watch. He seems surprised and scared by Luke's death, now he's just satisfied. Once you're a kin killer, the next one is easier I guess.

I really hope you haven’t filmed the next two reactions already, so you can switch to the xtended editions, because they make the story narrative clearer. As far as magic works, the wizards and elves are so close to God/the universe/the earth, that they often work through creating natural disasters or natural wonders. Arwen essentially washed the Nazgûl away with a massive flash flood. Sauruman drives the Fellowship to Moria via a storm and an avalanche with boulders and snow. Without spoilering, some magic is used in the later films via the power of sunlight. Some magic is energy transfer, or slowing down/speeding up or amplifying natural processes of poisons, the body, the mind, or the spirit.

One of the things to keep in mind with the power systems and magic (very abridged): Gandalf and Saruman aren’t stereotypical wizards/sorcerers. They are essentially angels (Maiar) given corporeal forms in an effort to thwart Sauron (also Maiar). They are the lower of these two classes, with the Valar being more powerful than the Maiar. Saruman became corrupted by the prospect of wielding the one ring, which is why he abandons what he was supposed to do in Middle Earth. Again, very abridged. The magic system works much differently to that of other fantasy counterparts.

This is the third time in the history of Westeros that dragons fought each other, the second was when Aemond killed Luke, so Vhagar has seen more dragon vs dragon combat than any other dragon

Comparing Aegon to Joffrey is wild. Joffrey did as he pleased and abused his power as a king, and he actually wanted to be King. Aegon never asked for this he actually wanted to flee and was dragged to be king. Acknowledging that he has no say in the matter he at least tried to do good, as an inexperienced, unloved man, he tried what he could. The guy got his son murdered in the most hideous way, he was used, manipulated and disrespected by his Mother, grandfather and now his brother... Where's the Joffrey? I'm not saying that Aegon is a saint, far from it. But comparing him to Joffrey is crazy. The way Alicent spoke to him this episode was horrendous, which made him join the fight so he can prove himself.
