That scene always slaps no matter how many times I see it. "Gonna have to eat every f*cking chicken in this room" 😂

👀
His performance in this season is absolutely mindblowing! Can’t wait for them to witness it 😊
at last
and everyone will be falling to their knees 😩
Not for long
The reason Daenery's is 'obsessed' with the red dragon is because a dragon rider can only bond with one dragon, as seen in HOTD. Dany is a special case because the other two see her as her mom and aren't bonded to anyone else but she still has her actual bond to the black dragon.
So funny how you guys called out for Pedro for every name mentioned before and when it’s Prince Oberyn nothing 😂 while I was smirking like Mckay 😏🤣
…. Prince Oberyn Martell?
Thenns in books: they have laws and lords, making them the most sophisticated of the Wildlings and closer to the men living south of the Wall.
Thenns in the show: insane cannibals.

Honestly, I think S4 is significantly better than S3 and arguably one of the best seasons in TV history. Starts strong and only gets better.
@@None-lx8kj I personally like S3 slightly more, I think the dynamics and dialogue in the season are more engaging.

It wasn't just the Lannisters who devastated the lands. The Starks did too. We saw Stark soliders raping and hanging people.

There is a reason why Dany is the fan favorite and many people liked the show and it’s not just her dragons people hyped but also because of her portrayal of a strong female character. And there is a reason why HBO started a Targaryen series right after GOT.. I can say so much things but sadly cannot cause I don’t want to spoil it. But just keep in mind Dany was just a little girl who has her family brutally murdered, far away from her home, she and Viserys lived in the streets begging for money and food, then she sold as a wife of a strong Khal ( she was a child bride who has forced to marry). Then with absolutely from nothing she gained a three dragons, army, nations and became a queen. She didn’t grow up in fancy castles. So to people who calling her “poor princess” in the comments?? Are we watching the same thing or y’all just bitter because a female character is the strongest in the series ?
THANK YOU
@@Nattiie The people in the comments pissed me off fr
Daenerys will always be the real queen of the show
i agree with everything, only the thing with the "begging for money and food" is weird to me. i only watched the show and what we see she was living in a nice place.. before the khal came to see her.. so i wonder where this was when she was "living in the streets"?
@@lene_kuchisabishii it was in the books and i think her brother mentioned it in the first episode; Viserys was known and "the begger king"
Whether you hate or love her, I'm really struggling to see how Dany can be called one-dimensional. Her thoughts are full of inner conflict, we've seen growth from her as a character since the first book in the series, and she has an impact on everyone around her wherever she goes. If she was one-dimensional, she wouldn't inspire nearly the amount of discussion that she does. Lots of depth to Dany, whether you like her or not, it's still there.
As for her predictability-most characters are? Jon is mostly monotone and has that continuous “good-guy” air about him. The Hound talks about the five same subjects every time we see him, and Tywin appears to be as goal-oriented as Daenerys; if not more. I think the disconnect you’re feeling stems from the fact that she’s still in the midst of establishing herself as a ruler, rather than as a character. Her development is external (the internal part was lost between the book to series adaptation) - whereas the others already *have* their place in the world, familiarized surroundings and a certain goal they need to fulfill. goals that appear much more ‘achievable’ than Daenerys’, whose still an entire sea away from Westeros
It's the disadvantage of what she's trying to do -- It _looks_ performative, but that's specifically _because_ she's making a point to make sure that everybody knows *exactly* what the fuck she's about. She's intentionally done.over.finito. being quiet and passive about what she wants to accomplish. She's making sure that everybody knows exactly where the line in the sand is, so that everybody _must_ pick a side about it. In matters of slavery, oppression, and abuse she's establishing herself as a benevolent tyrant.
I _strongly_ suspect George took a non-insignificant bit of Alexander the Great as a part of his muse for sculpting some of the principles of Danaerys' come-up.
I love some Dany defender here 👏👏👏
danny stans are so annoying bruh
@@yarsaz4347 what did op say that was wrong? Dany is a phenomenal character and is very dear to asoiaf fans and grrm himself, as long as op is simply saying their opinion without being rude whats the problem?
@@vbb2076 If their comment was "danny stans are so annoying bruh", it's probably safe to say that they don't actually have any substantial thoughts to contribute. Hopefully they prove otherwise!
yall are missing half the dialogue; one of the best things in GOT
I'm not gonna take the slander about Jaime's new haircut/look, I'm sorry. 😭😭 He looks gorgeous in it. Also, in the books, he had to cut all his hair off after escaping from Riverrun to throw off anyone looking for him. The loss of his golden locks, as well as his hand, is significant-he's no longer Cersei's mirror image. I'm gonna let you read between the lines here.

Pedro IS a good guy! hes one of the best characters in the show, just give it time.
daenerys wants to see all of the slave children to remember their faces when the time to punish the masters come, since no one else will remember them. this is not about trying too hard or being rude, it is about being a compassionate ruler who cares about the people and is willing to do justice for them. i fear you guys spend too much time talking instead of actually paying attention to the character’s story.

The look on Mckay's face when you guys are just rambling on is priceless. Cannon and Carter just watch the show and stop trying to guess everything. Just watch! One love!
😊
The Hound and Arya's journey is one of the most random and unpredictable ones, but it never feels forced. In fact I think GRRM was very smart to include it because it gives us a small release after season 3.
*Cannon trying to say his list*
Carter: But wait. There’s more 👏🏼
Sansa's situation sucks more tbh, she spent 3 seasons dreaming that her brother would rescue her and now all her hope is gone, and you've got Joffrey making her life absolute misery. The thing with Arya, Jon and Dany is that they're cut from a different cloth and actually have the skills and mentality to survive in the wild. They all have agency and freedom to define their own destiny, Sansa does not.
Small correction: Robb never used Ice. Ilyn Payne took Ned’s head off with his own sword and kept it cause no one told him not to. Tywin has always hated that the Lannister’s Valyrian steel sword (Brightroar) was lost many generations before, so when he goes to King’s landing (and I guess waited until Stark men were dead?) he melted it into TWO swords one for Jaime and House Lannister and then another for Joffrey you’ve not seen yet. Also! Jaime does know where it comes from cause he knows Lannister’s don’t have Valyrian steel.
Cersei’s daughter Myrcella is betrothed to Prince Doran Martel’s son, and is living in Dorne. They sent her there in season 2 homies
Keep in mind guys, Danaerys and her dragons cant fully be compared to the HotD dragons because 1. no saddles 2. no dragon pit or dragon trainers of any kind, nor really any people in their current world who know much about the dragons at all and 3. Dany is the only Targaryen if I recall to have more then a single dragon under her command at one time (Similarly Aegon obviously took Westeros with 3 dragons but only Balerion was bound to him while his sisters Visenya and Rhaenys were bound to Meraxes and Vhagar
They call out pedro for every character name drop and finally when he finally arrived , they werent expecting it
Why should Daenerys listen to bad advice? Briggs what you haven't realized about the spat they had in astaphor is that she was right. She played the masters like fools, and got a free army and a reputation for herself in one fell swoop. Most importantly they were disrespectful to her, she is the queen and they questioned her in the middle of negotiations. You think robert baratheon would ever allow that shit, ned questioned his decision to kill Daenerys and he was literally threatening to put his head on a spike as a result 😂
Why am I being called out I like Daenerys😭
@@brigandrus no use telling this to Carter he's a lost cause... Not every character is meant to be liked by everyone. She's a queen in the middle of a conquest, she's a bitch sometimes for sure, but that's why she's succeeding. Nice guys like ned, fuck around and find out in westros.
Queen of what??
@@tsxtina2919 she literally just conquered 2 cities and has thousands of people supporting her. Is this a real question?
not really spoilers but pedro is actually very distantly related to daemon!
I like how the names you used implies that Pedro Pascal is distantly related to a completely fictional character and I'm fine with it.
Best season in television history
The show starts really peaking in this season.
At this point, GoT has such a phenomenal cast and wonderful established characters it’s simply mind-blowing that they could introduce someone brand new into the mix who immediately becomes among the best. Phenomenal writing. Phenomenal acting.
Yeah. And look how it ended
The dragons have had names since season 2 but they rarely ever get mentioned. (Or maybe they literally haven't been mentioned but in the books she names them right away.) The black dragon, which you guys refer to as the red one, is the largest and he's named Drogon after Khal Drogo. The green one is Rhaegal after her eldest brother Rhaegar. The white/cream-colored one is Viseryon after the rat Viserys. If that last one is surprising, in the books I think she has more complicated feelings about Viserys. She thought his death was necessary but she still mourns him and thinks about him since they were together her whole life. Whereas in the show she's just over it right away.
I love that you guys also acknowledged Catelyn’s finer points via Tyrion. The actress Michelle Fairley was here in New Zealand filming for a new series not long ago, and was surprised at how many people here enjoyed Catelyn as a character. She truly was fearlessly fierce when it came to protecting her children. Dragging Frays wife from under the table whilst threatening Walder with deadly conviction. Grabbing the knife by the blade to protect Bran during the mercy killing altercation.
I started the series near the end of 2017 after hearing my mates at Uni ranting about Cat being a b***h to Jon Snow and some blonde with big eyebrows and dragons. So I gave it a go and was hooked!. Unexpectedly, it was Catelyn Stark who drew my invested interest at first but I despised her nasty attitude toward Jon and began disliking her constant negativity.
*Disclaimer* excuse the novel of a comment and read at your risk 😅.
I was always on edge and annoyed with Cats character development at first. But it was around the time in the new year that my little sister was born and this episode was on, that I remember after hearing Tyrions words at 15:07. I think that pretty much cemented Catelyn as a solid 💯 to me and one of my favourite albeit tragic characters in the show ultimately dying for her son Robb, which is ironic as her mother Minisa Whent (daughter of the Lord and Lady of Harrenhal) died for her son and Cats brother Edmure during birth. I may not be a mother, but I became like a second mum to my little sister and suddenly found myself resonating with Catelyn’s character arc and somewhat understanding her motives. And that was her unwavering commitment ,devotion and focus for her children and family. There is a remark in a later episode by her sister Lysa stating that Neds austerity had become Catelyn’s. It sums her up pretty well, in that diplomacy and tactful thinking were her strong front. We literally see how quickly her mind works as she commands a room to seize Tyrion in 1x4. She and every move she made was strategically played to get her children back home safely. The show did well to demonstrate that despite wives/queens/lady’s not having any actual power or control like that of their husbands/kings/lord’s. For Catelyn and Cersei especially, they still outlasted their husbands using their influences and powers as mothers to ensure their children survived ..as long as they could of course. It doesn’t matter how annoying, hated, ruthless or despicable they were in order to do so, they did it purely out of love for their children and I think it was often their redeeming quality …for Cersei it was her only redeeming quality anyway.
“Love no one but your children. On that front, a mother has no choice” - Cersei
Of course. The ONE time there’s a character introduction coming up and not a single one predicts it’s Pedro 😅
Brig with the best comparison between Oberyn and Daemon.
Jamie definitely knows who the Valyrian sword belonged to...
Alliser Thorne was Targaryen loyalist in war against Robert so he respects Aemon and Olenna Tyrell then Redwyne was behrode to Daeron Targaryen who was Daenerys grandfather's brother
I don't think the problem is that Sansa doesn't think tyrion is a good guy, I think the Problem is that her father, her mother and all her brothers have died (to her knowledge) and that she hasnt seen arya since the day robert died
Book-Sansa's doesn't like anyone who is ugly.
And Book-Tyrion is ugly (Unlike Peter, Tyrion was never particularly handsome to being with, and then his nose was completely cut off during the Battle of the Blackwater.)
Even at this point, she still hasn't fully realized that "beautiful" doesn't = good and "ugly" doesn't = bad.
Carter's reactions to blood and gore are literally all-timer's, every single time it happens.
I think a large part of Dany's personality has to deal with her learning how to be queen through Dothraki culture. In the books at this point, she still has a very very small khalasar with her (she does in the show too but they barely explore this.) A khaleesi/khal pretty much have to demand respect at all times in order to receive it.
I get the argument that she's one dimensional but growing up desperately holding onto her royalty was all she ever had.
It is definitely not the first re-cast. Mountain is re-cast every season he is in.
I like how nowadays everyone is like "Pedro, it is Pedro!", when back then it was like "hey, that's a cool dude, what is his name and what was he in?". Truly a life changing breakout role, even tho he has been acting for almost 2 decades before that (inb4 "nah, he is pretty well know", like yeah, if you're a like the most hardcore fan of Graceland or the Good Wife he was in for a couple episodes).
I think Sansa knows Tyrion isn't a monster people make him up to be, and they had normal conversations, like in 3x10 before the council meeting. But, he is the guy
Shae is just ... there a jealous possessive people, hysterical, manipulative, all sorts of different people. She is one of those emotions forward, head last types.
Nobody, except Janos, laughed at "giants" comment.
I know technically the mountain had three different actors, but in my mind, it was the Icelandic guy the whole time. I always forget the actors for the mountain up until season 4 were different
I was waiting for this just so you can finally see Pedro!
The dragons are named after Danny’s brothers and her beloved late husband! Am guessing also that’s why Drogo “ the black dragon” is her favourite
episode today?
Jaime beats Oberyn like I said the show does a terrible job but he’s legit meant to be a living legend!!🔥
*On paper.* You have to remember that highborn Westerosi's circle jerk that shit and look down on the Dornish. Oberyn's not from a warmongering state like the rest of them around KL, so they're not out there writing songs and books about war and telling attaboy tales about their first killing and that door they kicked down.
🎶Daaaaddddy's home!!! 🎶
Havent watched the vid yet but from the thumbnail I'm already excited!
Ni siquiera he visto la reacción, pero sólo ver que hoy aparece Pedro Pascal me vino la risa de ver como gritan.
As you know from HotD, the Targaryn's never controlled the dragons. Dany & Drogon do have a mutual love & respect for each other but they're still wild and you should never bother a dragon while they're eating. Lesson learned. FYI my favorite dragon is Rhaegal.
i love that you guys debrief so much after each episode and that everyone has such a different perspective, especially because a lot of channels don't do that. can't wait to see what you think of season 4!
Pedro Pedro Pedro
Pedro Pe!
Two more episodes guys!
The Hound and Arya are best duo🫡 this episode is so good, we love CHCKENS🤣 the way man grunts when he swings at people 💀
The Hounds Horse is Named Stranger after one of the Gods of the Seven whom represents Death. Has his own Personality in the Books.
Danny's dragons names were Drogon the black dragon who is the biggest of the three and named after khal Drogo, the green one is named Rhaegal named after her eldest brother Rhaegar Targaryan killed by Robert Baratheon, the yellowish one is Veserion named after her brother Viserys.
Well, the thing is in the books many characters have much more nuanced personalities like John, Tyrion or Daenarys. Thats because books have more details and inner monologues so characters can be better written and in Daenarys case she suffers from the lack of these details and becomes more one dimensional in the show. In the books she is actually pretty interesting, but sadly in the show a lot was cut out
THIS!
exactly! the show doesn’t do her character justice
this happens to both Jon and Dany in the show the worst. Jon is such an amazing character to read. He's an outwardly stoic quiet man and EVERYTHING about him goes on in his head. Its just not possible to show on screen.
In this episode, while talking to Jaime, Joffrey mentions Ser Duncan the Tall, as being a former King's Guard. HBO's next series, which started filming this month, is about Ser Duncan and his loyal squire, "Egg."
"Egg," being short for Aegon, as in Targaryen. But only Dunk and Egg know this secret, (and Egg's father, Prince Maekor Targaryen.)
Dunk is an ancestor to both Brienne and Hodor, and Egg is the brother to Maester Aemon. Chances are we will meet a young Maester Aemon in this series, and possibly even a young Olena Tyrell.
Cannon is giving me Ramsey vibes eating that jerky. 😂 and also, PEDROOOO!!!! is finally here.
The Adventures of Arya Stark and The Hound are my favorite bits in season 4.
Guess what?! “Ser Duncan the Tall” mentioned by Joffrey here, they’re actually making a GoT spinoff series about him right now! The 1st production image was released! So cool to see him shouted out here. The series will be called “A Knight of the 7 Kingdoms”

The best season in the show. I love this one!!
One of my fav episodes. Anytime I'm really mad I think, " I'm gonna have to eat every chicken in this room!" LoL
this season is going to be insane 😂
Brig's so spot on on those predictions lol
I think a lot of people have blinders on when it comes to Shae cause she is mad at Tyrion who we all love. Remember she wanted to leave. He said no. He said he likes this hes good at it etc. He spent season 3 being stepped on. Forced to marry. Given a position he doesnt like. Not recognized for the things he accomplished. He should have left an us as viewers know it
So people are like "she needs to understand his position what did she expect?" She expected the man she loves who made her promise you are mine and I am yours to treat her the same and he doesnt. He chose kings landing over her
There are people in the world who are willing to give up their family for love. And then there are people who are too deeply tied to their family (and/or duty) for that to ever be in the realm of possibility.
Tyrion falls into the latter category.
In a way, it's no different than Rhaenyra being unwilling to run off with Ser Criston.
Or Jon being unwilling to give up the safety of his brothers in the Nights Watch, the North, and the Realm for Ygritte.
To me, it just shows that these characters - Shae, Ser Criston, and Ygritte - were either really naive to think their "loves" would run off with them, or that they didn't know/understand them at all to begin with...
This season is peak GoT imo, get ready for some crazy shit.
