@@EchanteDante The cost effectiveness for something like that becomes prohibitive to have a good setup though. Might just be best for them to keep it casual and have two mic's on either side so we can finally hear the true GOAT of Gek, Jackson.
I have faith the boys will sort it out, and it's good for them to practise with multiple different setups as they start scaling their channels up
Jaime's monologue is everything I hoped it would be.

Just to clarify, Robert WANTED Barristan Semly on his kingsguard and refused to kill him after the battle of the trident. That's how much he respected him as a knight.
But Robert kept him out of the council meetings, and we see Jorah this episode testing Barristan if he knows about his spying on Daenery's from Varys at those meetings. Luckily he's safe and now he knows it!

For me, it’s the best episode of GOT. Every scene hits and the Jaime bath scene is legendary for a reason. What a scene. Jaime is one the best characters of GRRM, his chapters in the books are just marvelous.
Absolutely, in terms of pure quality this episode can't really be beat. Some episodes in seasons 1 & 4 have bigger stuff going on with excellent scnes, but it's hard to argue any of them are as consistent throughkut as this episode. Peak.

Jon did NOT break his vows! As Sam points out, the vows say you can’t marry or have kids, it doesn’t say you can’t have sex!
Well, in the books Jon considers him to have broken his vows. This is his big dilemma.

More over Jon is sexually assaulted. Even though he wanted it, Ygritte, was aware the ~15 year old Jon couldn’t deny her and still remain a spy even when she knows Jon isn’t truly committed to the wildlings. Though Jon was obviously uncomfortable with breaking his vow she still reassured him knowing his life is in her hands.
@@bobydean1839 That's a really poor reading of their relationship. In the books, Ygritte tells Mance they slept together *before* they actually did to save his life. Both of them have power over eachother because if it's discovered Ygritte was lying, she'd be called a traitor along with him. Their lives were in eachothers hands.
They wanted to have sex with eachother, it isn't assault just because Jon was initially conflicted about his vow.
Hell you can flip it and say Jon was horrible to Ygritte by lying about joining the Wildinglings and only slept with her to maintain his cover knowing she was trying to protect him. Saying that is the same as saying that Ygritte raped Jon; it just isn't true lol.

16:00 may be my favorite scene of the entire series. This put me entirely on Jaime's side.
But it really shouldn’t have. His speech isn’t nearly as righteous as he makes you think. Nothing he says is new information, but it’s presented like it is.
The truth is, the rebellion was going for a long time and Aerys had been burning people for fun for a very long time. And yet, one of the kings guard ever broke their vows, not even Barriston. I believe the story goes that Barriston was cutting fools down until he learned for sure that his King was dead. And Ned and Rob respected him for it. All the kings guard were all loyal to the end… except for Jaime.
And with Tywin, he stayed on the Kings side until the final siege. When Tywin finally turned, he only did it because he knew the King was going to lose and because he knew he was going to get something out of it in return. So, he turned on Aerys and let Ned and Rob into the city to deliver the final attack.
And of course, our pal Jaime is the one to deliver the final blow just as Ned and Rob was literally seconds away from breaking down the door to do it themselves. And those 2 guys really wanted that kill. That’s why Ned hated the Lannisters. They are loyal until it doesn’t serve them to be loyal.
So really, take the speech with a grain of salt. It’s not nearly as righteous as he makes it sound.
This whole episode is peak from beginning to end. I have others that I like more, but in terms of pure start to finish quality it may be the best.

A few moments before Jamie killed him, Aerys ordered Rossart to light the wildfire and destroy the entirety of King's Landing. So Jamie first goes after Rossart, kills him. And returns to Aerys and then kills him too. Jamie actually also mentions specifically this
"Then I slew Aerys, before he could find someone else to carry his message to the pyromancers"
So I dont think its just that Lannisters are loyal until they arent. Using that here is disingenuous. Jamie legitimately thought that him, his father, and everyone else on King's Landing was about to die, and then made the right choice to kill him.
I'm so glad you guys are giving Lady Olenna the screentime she deserves. Dame Diana Rigg, rest her soul, dominated that role and just about every scene she was in. She's one of the few actors in the show who can match Charles Dance as Tywin in terms of sheer presence.

Tywin is the GOAT, and Jaimie’s tortured monologue was perfection. Raw and vulnerable and angry. Really elevated him from a good character (already liked him in S2) to a great one.

So much to love in this episode. After many rewatches, this episode is one that rises to the top. The bath scene, Tywin sticking it to Cersei and Tyrion, the Queen of Thornes and Tyrion, Ygritte and John, and everything with the brotherhood. Wow!

They didn't explain it that well in the show because what Missandei said implies the Unsullied are just given a vermin name and that is their identity, but what Grey Worm said is a lot more powerful and makes a lot more sense because what actually happens is they draw a new name at random every single day, so not only do they have vermin names, but they do not have a permanent identity. So "Grey Worm" was not always his name, he was only Grey Worm on the day that he met Daenerys, and that's why the name is so special to him and why he called it "lucky".

I think it’s kind of a waste of time to be honest. They are worth watching but not sure it’s worth a reaction. Plus I’d much rather a season premier reaction to be uploaded to the channel than a reaction to a history lesson. There is some great world building and extra info in those videos however they aren’t exactly the most eventful for a reaction if that makes sense. There’s not plot development, twists and turns, etc. Plus isn’t there a few spoilers for House of Dragon in there as well?
Watching it will help them a lot but I think they're worried that it'll spoil for them Aegon I 's story since HBO is developing a serie about it.

Tywin is by far the biggest threat on the board. He's a true leader, makes harsh but rational decisions, is smart, thinks ahead and is not without compassion.

3x5 and 3x6 are two of the best back to back episodes, imo. So many pieces are moving, and so many impactful decisions are made in these two episodes. The music score is great and brooding, the monologues are chilling and impactful. I can’t wait for littlefinger’s ladder monologue in 3x6. Gives me goosebumps. D&D was popping they ass when they were making these few episodes.
So if Im not mistaken, Princess Shereen ( Stanis's daughter) is the only known living survivor of grey scale. Its a disease that spreads through contact and evantually makes the person go mad. Since there isnt a cure, usually if you get greyscale they ship you off to Old Valeria or something like that to live with the "stone men". Since Stannis is the mannis lol he employed a bunch of maesters to work day and night to try to find a cure after she was infected when she was a baby. I believe she got a contaminated baby blanket. I dont remember which, but there was a Maester who was able to stop the disease from spreading and thus making it dormant.
The Lannisters always get monologues that make everyone speechless and the delivery is always on point...

Idk if you guys are planning on watching the history and lore vids, I know theyre always highly requested but if you do choose to react to them, just a heads up, theyre very long and can get very repetitive. Personally, i dont think they're worth it, but again, I am in the minority and if you choose to do them, they will have a lot of views, just something to think about.

The only reason the Nightwatch have those vows to begin with is for a few reasons probably. For one it’s punishment, two it’s so they don’t have heirs to seek vengeance on anyone who sentenced their father to the Nights Watch, and last so they don’t have too many mouths to feed.

Jamie had moral conflict serving the Mad King and honoring his vows. Barestin had no problems honoring his vows to the Mad King. Interesting
He also knew him for years before he went mad, and respected him, and even saved his life single-handedly (from the even that finally pushed him over the edge). Jaime was an idealistic 15 year old who had to choose between his father and his king, and never realized what being Kingsguard to a tyrant would entail. Also, Barristan makes it clear in this episode that he had plenty of problems serving Aerys.

Jaime is one of the best written characters in the show. They always showed hints that there was more to him going back to all throughout season one even though he was a prick. He did do a great thing in saving the population of kings landing, and then it earned him a horrible reputation amongst his peers and they branded him the Kingslayer, a disrespectful name. This happened when he was very young still. He had to endure the looks on face after face growing up into adulthood, and has to deal with people disrespectfully referring to him as Kingslayer instead of Ser Jaime. So he hardened up and wore that persona on his sleeve, becoming the ultimate cocky prick in the process. But seeing Brienne and how good of a person she is reminds him of what he inspired to be in his youth. Jaime looked up to Ser Barristan, he wanted to be like him and didn’t want to grow up to be a cocky bad guy. Great writing from George RR Martin

This is one of my fav epis of the whole series and that Jaime monologue is an absolute fav scene Jaime is the most complex character to me personally and although the show was great i still feel it didn't do justice to Jaime the swordsman and his aura. The lannister brothers r top tier characters who are multidimensional and hv some of the best dialogues in the series. In terms of who you want to see win it's always the starks but tbvh the lannisters r the more epic characters in the show and the ones who made GOT the masterpiece it was in the initial seasons the entire plot is moved by lannisters n they r the most interesting characters literally all of them Tywin Jaime Tyrion n even Cersei. I remember y'all wondering how do people even like lannisters in the very initial epis I guess this is why
