Those 21 GB read speeds are absolutely necessary for our 16k video Editing with zero stuttering while scrubbing habits -_-
I recently purchased the 7900 GRE. I chose it over the Nvidia option as it was the better value at the price I was willing to pay. The Adrenaline software is pretty good imo. I can do everything I need to tune the card's performance for how I want it. Incredibly useful as it sits in a small form factor case, very close to me when I'm gaming.
You saved me. I just got a new laptop and wanted to install windows 10 just only for the reason that the start is not in the left corner.
This will be an utter game changer!!!!!!
It's good to see Gordon on the show. Voice is there, energy is there. Awesome.
So if we watch this on CZcams, will full nerd still be here?
Matte people, close your windows!
So, after 12 months it is not "controversial" after all, as it is now being shipped as standard (JDEC) now, starting with notebooks like ThinkPad P1 in the form of LPCAMM2. Dell did something good, otherwise I personally never liked Dell notebooks. And the other beauty is that every stick/plank of LPCAMM2 is dual-channel.
This was a really cool show!
oh man, every reviewer is getting the white one... we want the black one!
According to the instructions, you are supposed to apply the PTM to the heatsink after its wipe clean with IPA. Then you are supposed to heat the heatsink to about 30C to 35C before attaching it. PTM in theory solves the problem of pump out by turning back into a solid. It will continue to perform without the need to change it.
I upgraded from a I5-12400f to a I7-12700k because the cpu was 50% off on Newegg ($299 CAD on May 9th 2024) Was having issues that was fixed by replacing my cpu
0:08 The question is... how big of a fan? 120, 140?
Why not demo and not just talk
38:00 agree
For those wondering about the pro art I know there’s not a lot of gameplay please leave a comment and I’ll post a game review depending if I have the game so you can see what kind of performance it gives before making a decision
I'm more interested it is temperatures when gaming and the card is running at 100% usage. Thanks Just bought a pro art 4080 super
@@Mayhemz.95it’s really powerful

@angeltejeda5557 thank you man. May I ask what fan speed % they run at? I assume you could crank it up if needed?
@@Mayhemz.95 max top speed for better cooling and performance
Love my Firebird 802, still kickin and looking to upgrade the Ram to a full 8GB and the gpus that actually are recognized on windows 10!

Don't understand why The Full Nerd needs its own channel. What's going to be on PCWorld? I never see anything worth watching other than The Full Nerd.
Congrats on 300! Something missed in the HD2 discussion was that the game launched with PSN requirement but Arrowhead had the requirement temporarily disabled. The CEO publicly admitted to knowing it would be reenabled at some point so they certainly share some of the blame for this fiasco.
look at how matte guy is dressed, age, & weight compared to glossy guy, has a sense of aesthetics & style, need I say more about which of the two places importances on aesthetics, creativity, art, sophistication, polished, glossy, sharpness, depth, high contrast? This is a perfect illustration.
does it have a fan curve option like msi afterburner ?
Exciting, but what about Mac comparisons? After 35 years of using DOS & Windows, I switched to Mac for my daily driver laptop when the M1 Apple Silicon came out, and I'm glad did. I hope the new Snapdragon X series of products give me a strong reason to switch back to Windows PCs. Bring on the competition!
The difference is between people's who love art beauty & high end polished refined glossy finishes & non creative apes, with no sense of aesthetics & beauty & maximizing colors contrast sharpness. Glossy is objectively better.
Gordon back in the seat!!!!! I love it! You guys rock. Keep it going another 300. I've been listening for years and years.
Alaina has such a great and infectious laugh.
L shaped adapters? surprsied nobody building this is using them , even for the 24 pin
How do I sell a used CPU? Like how would you even package that
To save old hardware and none techi pesons there's need to be an Android os to install on them old pc,s , that whold be nice 🙂
THanks !
Folks think I'm crazy but a 1981 Ferrari GTS is rated at 7.3 seconds 0-60 (accelerationtimes.com/models/ferrari-308-gtsi) and Motortrend clocked a 2020 avocado green Subaru station wagon (XT) at 5.9 seconds.
Much love to Gordon, back at the table.
RTSS or Kaldeans Special K does the job. Freesync/Gsync should smooth things out without fps locking as well.
Is it good to use Revit?
I actually cried when Gordon took his original seat. The smallest gestures in life have such incredible meaning 🙏 Here's to 300 more!!
Soo, Ask if people whants clicky or silent..... SIILENT is the...beeep
Iwe been around for some time now.. watching the show, it fills my nerd life with meaning! This episode is epic, and Gordon ❤ Goat.. DX2-66, 4770K 😍 and OFC 1080tI
Alex is the new guy! I didn't even get a phone call. Why ask me to apply if you weren't going to respond to my application?
We need a good Linux-based solution to the end of Windows 10. Or, some sort of open source chromeOs. I have a collection of stuff that it just going to go dead when windows 10 goes away.. It's very sad... Cheers Rick
Greatest episode ever! Great to see Gordon feeling himself :)
Happy 300 guys! Love those Filipino cupcakes 🧁 Ube is ❤
27:00 I’m intensely nerdy about audio in games. I have a whole slew of old Sound Blasters, like the AWE32, Live, Audigy and Audigy 2 and it’s great fun to play old games like Mafia 1, Rainbow Six 3, Unreal Tournament 2004, Hitman Codename 47/Silent Assassin/Contracts and Thief 1/2/Deadly Shadows with great 3D audio and EAX reverb/echo effects for that extra immersion factor. Whenever I play newer games I’m always happy when I hear great use of reverb and positional sounds with headphones, because that means someone clearly still gives a sh*t about that other vital half of the audiovisual experience in games; the audio!

Gordon, for the laptops you want to get rid of, Google supports ChromeOS Flex on various devices and it should be on your radar for reusing old PCs.
Just installed it on an ewaste Haswell Thinkpad...They do seem pretty well supported and now it won't get thrown away...
Gordon's back in studio, 45 minutes in "Stop with the fingers!"
how many pods nowadays start with the "oh we are live, i had no idea"
PTM 7950 actually doesn’t experience degradation due to it being a phase change material. In the data sheets Honeywell actually states that after 1000 -55c to 100c cycles the performance actually improves. Basically the more you break it in the better it is

There's nothing ""security"" about SB and. TPM, all it is is a Bricker of the entire PC. If one tries to abuse it enough and or doesn't know about BIOS, and uefi. Having for example and installing Linux with out windows and no one setting up the keys as SB was enabled. Yes supposedly Linux can support this now but not mine and that came from a refurbishing place. It was also a custom PC. I'll never go back to that place cause they clearly didn't know what they were doing.
