Thx for the vid! At 17:42 it's not the VRAM capacity that brings the gains, it's the GB/s of the VRAM here (VRAM BUS-interface) e. g. 4070 Super has 192bit and 4080 super has 256bit. With better VRAM Bus-Interface (GB/s) the data can transfer faster. Those puget benchmarks do not test much for vram capacity.
What I like about the Proart is, it is even smaller than all those slim models.
Hey. What should be the best combo: I do like (50% premiere) and (30% gaming, mostly Fortnite) and (10% Illustrator/Photoshop). Should I go with i7 14700k with a 4080 super? Or 7800x3d with a 4090?
i would love to see more video editing benchmark! whenever a new card comes out, i rely on puget's report. but they dont include older generations GPU, like the 3000 series. so i dont know if its worth upgrading or not.
what is your ProArt 4080 GPU/hotspot/memory temp in HWINFO64 under Time spy extreme stress test OR 20mins fullscreen FurMark? (and your room temp?)
For those wondering about the pro art I know there’s not a lot of gameplay please leave a comment and I’ll post a game review depending if I have the game so you can see what kind of performance it gives before making a decision
I'm more interested it is temperatures when gaming and the card is running at 100% usage.
Thanks
Just bought a pro art 4080 super
@@Mayhemz.95it’s really powerful
@@Mayhemz.95 anything from 60-65
@angeltejeda5557 thank you man. May I ask what fan speed % they run at? I assume you could crank it up if needed?
@@Mayhemz.95 max top speed for better cooling and performance
The 4080 super should have had a bit more VRAM and a little more power. It's very, eh.
So I'll hold out. A bit longer.
You can't even find it at MRSP.
till now, I can't even find it at MSRP.
It's crazy
@@willy79684080 super fe has been in stock on bb website for a couple or days now for msrp as well as the 4090 fe.
The 7900 XTX is the correct comparison to the 4080/Super, by price, not the 7900 XT.
The logic is that it's a halo product. But the thing is... they're at the same price point.
"Hey, Adam..."
so they put the cuda cores amount of the 3080ti
This is convincing me to get the ProArt 4080 over the 4070 ti super...
Super cool
The Rx7900xt of 700$ is epic.
RT is not good.
Yeah it falls hard on RT and DLSS. And that’s the direction games are going nowadays.
AMD lost less money selling you that 7900xt than Nvidia does selling a 4090 for 1600 dollars
@@veilmontTVno, the 7900xtx at $950 is pretty much just as profitable as the 4080 Super. And the xtx is selling for under $900. The 7900xt is the same cut die sold for even less.
if that msi expert card ever got to msrp id buy it, almost 1500 now tho
Worse thermals and higher power draw for a 5% performance boost you will not notice unless you have a overlay open. No thanks.
it's now $1,079 on amazon
I know you guys put in a lot of hard work on this but I honestly wish you guys would have included the 7900 XTX as well just because of the similar price point to the 4080 super
Ouch. Not too surprising though. Still if you wanted a Nvidia these Super seen like a good buy if you want a new card and not a 4090
I really regret not buying a 4090 at launch tbh
Yes bigger bars are always always better .
4080 Super isn't "using 100W less energy than 7900xt" . It has lower spikes. It's not the same
According to Techpowerup numbers actual gaming power usage is 6W-20W different between these two gpus
Techpowerup is nonsense. In most real world gaming workloads the Super is far more power efficient.
@@Wobbothe3rd Testing power spikes in a single game and describing it as power usage is nonsense 😂
4080 Super... Absent from any stock at MSRP.
I bought direct from Nvidia for the FE and they had stock for a good 4, 5 hours before they ran out.
and i am thinking about returning, due to 5000 series coming out in 1 year@@ShouriSeifuku
@@dipperqwhy you bought it in the first place then?
Best buy has been getting a lot of 4080 super drops at msrp (all variants) if youre in the US
Having multiple versions of each Super model and no 7900xtx is rather lame
I also dont understand why the amd gpus are at the bottom rather than slotted in performance wise
With all fairness not sure how adept Adam is with graphs. So I can understand if he had trouble arranging everything by performance every time
But when you have 9 Nvidia gpus and only 2 Radeon, no XTX, it looks biased enough. Dumping them at the bottom doesn't do anything to alleviate this feeling 😅
Adam: Language! The tablets delivered via Moses are still active.
what happened to my comment i posted here yesterday? Is it google deleting comments now or this channel? Wtf..
Super cool. Life is long ago.. it is a super new model.
Will Smith looking a little different these days
Yeesh, this review had a lot of missteps that could've been done better. I understand wanting to test multiple 4080S models, as that was the focal point of the review, but the benchmark charts also had multiple 4070TiS and multiple 4070S models, too. You could've included ONE of each and said "all of the 4070TiS and 4070S models perform within a few FPS of each other, and you can check our specific review videos for more." This would've allowed more cards in the comparison. You also admit that you were unable to test all cards at times and put up incomplete charts. Then the power consumption charts were laughable as you only listed peaks and not sustained load figures. Finally, the sound tic of clapping your hands constantly was a distraction. I hope you take a good look at your testing methodology and improve it in the future.
PALIT RTX4080 SUPER
mb
I became a fan boy for intel because they offer better price for there gpu the rest gpu company have gotten scraven I have my hopes on intel
RTX 40 series making the RX series have a good value
Wow it looks bad for Nvidia, but hey, there is always people dumb and ignorant enough to still buy their crap cards, so they probably won't care lol
4080 Super - Meh.
This is a shit review to help prop up Nvidia. Graph says it all
How much did Nvidia pay you to leave the RX 7900 XTX off the benchmarks? AMD is Crushing Nvidia and people are being brainwashed!
It depends how you see it I will buy a 4090 5X more than 7900 xtx amd is crushing them because of better prices but if money is not a issue 100% of people will go with a 4090
@@angeltejeda5557 the 7900xtx is aiming for the 4080 not the 4090. It beast the snot out of the 4080 if you don’t need ray tracing and is generally cheaper.
@@TheSjuris again like I said before is only base on price they are pretty much similar to me unless is a 30% performance boost is not worth the price I have a 4070 ti will be getting in 2 weeks keeping the 4070ti as a workstation but like I said it depends on the person my friend has amd 7900xtx and he has a lot of performance issues and drivers fail a lot so I guess a higher price also gives you a less of a headache
@@angeltejeda5557 never had any driver or performance issues with my 7900xtx.
@@TheSjuris lots of people including myself have had issues with adrenaline sw crashes since launch, it's alot more stable lately with my sapphire nitro 7900XTX, but I'm rebuilding in a Formd T1 soon, need a smaller card and thinking about picking up a 4080 super proart card at the more palatable prices
