24:32 nope, it's not the VRAM capacity, it's the bandwith mostly. So the data can transfer faster. Those puget benchmarks do not test much for vram capacity. The more VRAM speed (GB/s), the bigger the gains are shown by the longer bar. Thx for the vid!

Granted, the image quality is different, but the fact remains that if you own and are using an NVIDIA GPU, you aren't going to use FSR as a gamer, you are going to use DLSS.

FSR & DLSS scale similarly on a chart so i understand why tested it that way. I think everyone knows that FSR has the worst fidelity out the 3 upscalers in games so far.

So, remember, Speedway is definitely a RT benchmark, so it teases out the AMD weakness for raytracing where it loses lot of fps.

I personally won’t go below DLSS Quality upscaling as anything lower …. You might as well just play either at a lower graphics setting such as Med-High instead of Ultra or lower the resolution generally as I find the Balanced setting to be very poor in terms of image quality!

I own an RTX 3060 Ti and I'm actually planning to buy a 4070 Super, but should I wait? Because I believe with the 50 series, Ray tracing will get the biggest update yet, making it more mainstream that event budget cards could do well with Ray tracing enabled.
For example, let's say rtx 5060 runs a game in 1080p at 80fps without Ray tracing. When turning Ray tracing on, the fps could maybe get around 65 fps, instead of dropping to 30 or below fps like with current gen cards. This is just my assumption that the focus of 50 series will be to focus on improving Ray tracing.

So, both amd and nvidia said they expect not to be able to fulfill demand (supply/production issues) with next gen.
So keep in mind if you wait, you may be waiting a while.
Edit: it's about a 70% upgrade for you, so it's a little early to upgrade...but not unreasonable.
I just grabbed the 4070 super, upgrading from my trusty ol 1070ti. Bout 105% upgrade for me. I'm excited. Stupid shipping times. 😂

I bought a 3070 pretty much at release, swapped that out for a 3070ti aorus elite after a year, which then got swapped for a 6900xt which I then finally swapped out for a 4070 non super a year ago and haven't regretted a single on of these stepups.
Especially the last swap. The 4070 is so efficient it draws hardly any power compared to the 3070s or the 6900xt (the latter one gobbles up energy like crazy)
Turning on frame gen is an absolute win and am very sorry to say, but fsr 2 is just not even comparable to dlss.
It's great for non-dlss cards but if u ever hab both as a comparison, fsr just falls short.

Bro you said the 4070 super can handle “console type ray tracing” do you understand the ps5 basically has a rdna2 6700 in it? Do you seriously believe a 40 series mid range nvidia card cant do far better ray tracing than a 10 teraflop first generation ray tracing amd card? The 4070 super does better ray tracing than the 7900 xt. It beats the $1,000 xtx too it most games in ray tracing. The 6700 compared to those 2 cards is staggering

The only card from the 40-series which is imo, worth buying is RTX 4090 as other lower lineup gpus (mid range gpus) are heavily lacking with Nvidias renaming of GPU dies this generation:

Not gonna lie this is a pretty terrible review. It's **super** late and you don't show enough graphs and there's way to much talking: there should have been more games tested. Rather than saying how there were micro-stutters show it on the graph in the 1% lows and 10% lows.
For raytracing and upscaling only one game really? and Cyberpunk... Also who the hell uses FSR on an Nvidia card, I get that to normalize the results to show the AMD card as well, but anyone using a Nvidia card is going to use DLSS instead. If you had more graphs and tested more than one game you could have explained this.
For power & thermals, why do you not include average power consumption, and only show the maximum!!! Yes transient power spikes are important to consider, but just taking the maximum power and saying that's what's expected is lazy and inaccurate. One transient could be less than 1 ms long and be fine and another transient could be 20 ms long and take out a power supply...
Pretty shameful that this low-quality of video comes from a channel with 375k subscribers... I'm not mad just disappointed..
