The problem is that Taekwondo (WTF) or Kukkikwon style is kicking only in competition. ITF is better because they punch more often in competition. Traditional Taekwondo uses more strikes and vital point strikes and Joon Rhee style uses the vertical punch and blocks

You all talk about a what if Bruce Lee had lived to 2024, if he had fought in combat sport, he could'nt be the best, but you do so as if we're dropping a 70s bruce frozen in time into today's mma. But what does that mean? You're putting him into a combat sport he had a hand in creating posthumously by his fighting philosophy. You often dont consider that perhaps, the man who inspired MMA, would have arrived at creating the first ufc organization himself instead of doing so posthumously. We are talking about a man who trained posibly harder than today's Mui Thai legends of that sport and comparatively has demonstrated physical agility, strength, speed and impressive physical conditioning, equal to say that of a Lerdsila Chumpairtour or Buakaw Banchamek. Where Bruce Lee didn't have the experience and technique as stated in this video and correctly so, he had the curiosity and innovative passion and OBSESSION for MIXED MARTIAL ARTS combat, that he envisioned what UFC is today, and his path WAS headed in that direction before his death. In my opinion, had Bruce Lee lived to 2024, he would have been the first owner of a mixed martial arts combat sport organization, and no doubt the very racism he faced as he tried to legitimize jeet kun do would have been the driving force, while simultaneously, reluctantly representing kung-fu by virtue of his Chinese heritage, even though he was in opposition to the traditional martial art. I'm sure Bruce being the showman and bigger than life extraordinary person he was, he would have thought to fight boxers himself to generate the BUZZ for this new Combat Sport arguably something like what the UFC is today. I think in a hypothetical Bruce Lee mixed martial arts fighting debut, being generous, either he would have won his first fight but it would have been an embarrassingly amateurish performance that he would've hated, or he would have lost his first, second and maybe third fight but given his pride, obsession with perfecting and legitimizing Jeet Kun Do and his own ability, he would have thought to make those adjustments and hired the best trainers in combat sports and THEN he'd have been like a Lerdsila or Buakaw Banchamek I would even suggest that he would've eventually gravitated to a Mui Thai boxing style hybrid, mixed with Jeet Kun Do mixed with water dragon master-ultra instinct super sayan god forms. The whole sparring situation was what made me the most careful about picking where to start learning Muay Thai. Did a trial class and there was flow sparring at the end, the experienced guys recognized pretty quickly I was new and I basically learned a new thing every round from them.
