Pike on The Fly: Crazy Day with Non Stop Action
A friend and I went out to a local lake to target one of my favourite species on the lake... the Northern Pike. These fish have everything that I would look for in a fish. They're aggressive, big, love stalking and destroying big fly... and above all, you can have an amazing day chasing these toothy species.
I hope these video inspire you, whether you're an amateur fly fisher or a professional guide who have fished since you could walk, to come out and target these amazing fish and hopefully share a laughter or two.

      Whats stopping you? The dubbing is $5, hook and bead is prob $15 ish for 25. So for $20 ish u can tie 25 leech and have plenty of dubbing leftover for more.

    If you shorten the tail I’ve used this pattern for scuds and man does it work. Great tie 👍

      I agree! I tie them in different length base on where and the time im fishing. They both work i think application and context play a role! Variation is usually the key to success on slower day

    I believe you fish in BC. I am not 100% sure, maybe you can check the regulations if it is allowed to use tandem hooks.

    • @THFlyFishing
      @THFlyFishing Před 7 měsíci

      I move places lol. Yes you are not allow to fish more than 1 hook in bc. However, I am here for school not here to stay. When i fish here i do fish 1 hook fly and sadly these articulated fly do accumulate dust under my bed. Where I do most of my open water fishing, we are allow to use up to 3 hooks. I appreciate your concern as you’re looking out for the regulation. Thanks for doing your part

      @@dixonmak don’t apologize, you were looking out for our fisheries. Never apologize for that man. I would be mad if i feel like someone was breaking the req too lol. If you look at my insta, i tie a pretty diverse group of fly from giant streamer that nothing in bc can eat to everyday nymph and Stillwater flies. The reason why i wanted to have vid like this is to boarded my audience so I don’t mind clearing confusion. If you clip one of the hook this pattern would also be a very good pattern for bullies too!!
