  • For the past year, i had tried multiple time to catch a salmon on the beach. Many of these attempt often result in no bite and a frustrated time on the water. One of the issue i run into is trying to find a fly that work. I have tried many trip and using multiple different fly with little success. With every trip and people telling me to use different flies, the year ended with nothing but frustration.
This year, i was lucky enough to stumble upon a fly that i believe would work. I quickly tie a bunch up and on the first outing…. I finally land my first salmon on the beach.
This is a euphausiid (krills) fly pattern. I tie this in pink for pink salmon on the beach but you can tie them in multiple colour such as dark green for coho salmon as well. Give these a tie for your beach fly box and let me know how it work out for you.
