I also read arc 5 and have to agree parts of it weren't as enjoyable to read as other arcs (parts with Garfiel were fire). Only great animation would make arc 5 really good for me, but I also think the only good scene in this trailer was subaru vs sirius. unfortunately I don't have my hopes up for the anime.

Arc 6 is 100% better in the novel format so I recommend to read, but ofc since we know the anime is coming you can wait for that. Arc 5 is going to be better in anime form if the trailer is what the whole season is going to look like.

I loved your reactions and I'd love to see more of your thoughts about the future arcs. There is a channel called "Studio Reverie". They're doing fan-dub for arc 5 and they have a good cast. They do WN version tho not the LN version. I tried reading the novels on my own when season 2 ended but it didn't gave me the same taste so listening the fan-dubs almost felt like i was watching the actual anime. I'm saying just to give you another option to continue to Re:Zero world.

This has been so much fun, so I hope you'll find a good way to continue making videos! I agree that Vivy would make for a good series to react to. I think shows that leave you every episode with things to think about, like Re:Zero or Madoka Magica, work really well in a reaction/discussion format, even when there's no written material to compare it to, so I'll be looking forward to it! Going back to Re:Zero, I'd also be eager to see you do book reviews/readthroughs for the future volumes to come. Arc 5 is sandwiched between the incredible arcs 4 and 6, so it gets a little underrated. However, it is a truly excellent story, with as much character development as you've come to expect, and more action than you've seen so far. It starts a little slow, but once things get going, it's a nonstop rollercoaster to the end. I read it a few months ago, and I say this with the highest enthusiasm: it's going to make for one hell of an anime season once it's been animated. There are so many great scenes, both in terms of characters opening up to each other and of pure adrenaline-fueled battling, and the antagonists are so delectably odious. Ah, now I can't wait. Might have to read it again.

We see this briefly in the last episode in season one when Pelteguse meets Satella when Subaru's body was being possessed. Whenever Subaru leaves Satella's garden he doesn't remember his encounters with her, but whenever he returns there he can recall his previous encounters with her. ( Only the arc 6 web novel chapter contains a very small spoiler. You can still read it without being spoiled. All you have to do is not read the two mysterious voices that appears in that chapter and you will not be spoiled. )

Can you read the WN as well? It's very similar to the LN in quality but is just longer. The end of Volume 16 exactly matches up with chapter 19 of WN so there is no confusion.

That third trial scene was really enlightening in the anime format, since it is easy to tell who most of the speakers are due to the voice acting, as opposed to before when we just had the text. Personally, I think the reader/viewer will get to experience all of these futures through Subaru, although to Emilia they may not happen due to not all of the scenes being part of the "true" timeline. I'm really looking forward to seeing these futures pop up in subsequent novels/seasons!

Recently, volume 27 (!) was released in Japan, the second volume in Arc 7 which will someday be season 5! And meanwhile, us poor EN readers have to make due with volumes 16 and 17 coming out later this year.

One being Betelguse as he was the most active one and the other one being Regulus, Regulus being known for going alone to the one of the most fortified Forts and single handedly destroyed it killing everyone inside, a few years before Subaru arrived to this world.

It looks just like Minerva but with White hair and Amethyst eyes and it can make sense for her to be Emilia’s mother......since the Father is the elf so the Mother would be human like Echidna & Minerva 🤔

Satella was sealed by the combined efforts of the divine dragon, the first sword saint, and a sage. Satella's seal is not located in the forest. Also the statuary flashback takes place over 400 years ago, and Emilia's trial takes place place 107 years ago.

Remember when Emilia cried after killing Geuse’s finger in Episode 23 which was Geuse himself? Emilia cried back in that episode and she didn’t even know why she was crying but her soul and mind itself knew what occurred to Geuse and still cried out. This trial made her really remember, I doubt Emilia will blame Subaru for killing Geuse, if she even knows Subaru did. Geuse and Petelgeuse while being the same person are also both different.

Yeah the witch's daughter thing is probably just to instult Emilia but if she was a witch's daughter it could never be Satella cause Emilia's dad is the Elf and the mom is human so the only human witches of age are Sekmeth Minerva and Echidna
