I like that Subaru still didn't get over his emotions more than him in the light novel, immediately realizing that he shouldn't act emotional and trying to to change and act like breathing will do anything to stop your anger. In general, changing is very hard. That's one of the interesting things in psychology. You can't just change even if you want to. You have to try your hardest to change, and even then, it's still hard. That's what the Anime is showing us. And anyway, Subaru had a reason to get angry at Roswaal compared to what happened in the capital. This time, with Roswaal, he was right to get angry at him, and he didn't need to breath to calm down XD That's not really how anger works. The way to stop anger is to tell the angry person something that would satisfy them. At least that is what I think. And that's what happened in this episode anyway.
