Re:Zero Season 2, Episode 3 Reaction - Arriving at Sanctuary!

In this episode we see Subaru converse with Echidna. She talks about the Witches, and gives Subaru the right to take a "Trial", which we learn later on that they need to take this trial in order to free Garfiel and the villagers from staying captive in the Sanctuary.
We see Emilia step up and take a hand at the Trial, but Subaru notices something is wrong and rushes to her aid, disregarding the fact that he would be rejected(Since he doesnt remember the Echidna encounter.) , and end up like Roswaal did. But nontheless, he finds her and then seems to enter somewhere completely out of the ordinary, and thus the episode ends.
In this episode, I expected to be introduced to a certain character, as it was in the Light Novel, but this did not happen. I wonder when they will decide to introduce Him/Her?
Things such as Garfiel announcing he has title of being the most physically strongest person(Maybe he was just joking when he said that?) and a informative talk with Ram about Frederica, were left out.
Im curious if they'll add these things in later, but either way; it was a solid episode and I cant wait for next week!(Its gonna be a tearjerker.)
The witch was sealed away by the Dragon the Sword Saint and the Sage 400 years ago. Imagine being dead but not dead at the same time for 400 years. Echidona sure had it rough.

@@cutebloom Echidona is how it is pronounced so I go with that writing. It is also written like that in Japanese so idc.
The Witch of Envy was sealed away. Before that she devoured the other sins is what Echidona said in ep 3.
Also this isn't spoilers because I'm pretty sure Beatrice already told Subaru this story in season 1.

@@cutebloom they literally can't write echidna as they have no "d" sound. They do have "do" though. It's such a minor difference that I wouldn't care even if it were wrong, but it is the correct way the japanese write it so idc
Checked the wiki just in case and the name is エキドナ Ekidona.

@@defender321ful That's the old season 1 localization where they called her "The Jealous Witch". I don't think season 2 called her that way, yet.

Ekusupurosion yes, I’ve read up to volume 10 of the light novel. I’d say 2 more episodes max until they cover volume 10 fully, then I’m anime only :)
