H: "A dolphin isn't a fish"
Me: "Huh, for once he shows that he actually knows stuff about-"
H: "sAlmon"
Me: "Nevermind."
But there is a fish called a dolphin. The Hawaiian call it Mahi-Mahi... but it is known in English as a dolphin, dolphinfish or Pompano Dolphin
Trout is a viable alternative to a dolphin and it is a fish.
Swordfish, Pufferfish, and Clownfish also work.

11:36 That is an RFID tag. It is basically a wireless barcode that is used for inventory purposes and to set off alarms if it isn't deactivated at the register. It is unpowered and can only be sensed from a couple of feet away. If someone is tracking your daughter with this, you have bigger problems because they would have to be standing behind her the whole time.
Like her bf, right? Lol.
If you're buying your daughter bras from Victoria secret, you can't be the most intelligent person in the room.
@@jimmyb1451
Even if the room contains only you and a rock.
It is not UNpowered, it is WIRELESSLY powered; specifically by the field that "detects" the tag. You would not need to stay with someone to track them, because once tagged, you can reasonably assume the tag being found at A then later at B, means the woman attached, travelled from A to B. Pet chipping is another implementation of this.
@@InservioLetum The problem with your argument there is that the tags can only be ready by specific readers. Being close to a wireless signal might be enough to trigger the tag but not recognise it for what it is. I have worked with retail tags for over 20 years, only the scanners in our store can recognise the products to which they are connected. bring our items to our competitors shop and their scanner just goes " nope , dont know what that is"
Your dog chipping statement is spot on however it proves my point. Any wireless signal can trigger a dogs chip however only a dedicated scanner can read what it says.
They OP is correct, in order to track her he would have to be right beside her. Either that or she would just happen to go to places with scanners which can read the tags. I doubt her home for example has a register scanner in it.

Henry, that is a detector strip. Never notice the gates you walk through when you enter and leave a store? Those are magnetic coils, and they detect those strips unless demagnetised at the counter. That's why the cashier rubs the clothing on the worn out part of the counter : there's a magnet under there for exactly this purpose.
the detector strip is usually smaller straight strip pf soft iron and doesn't have a wiggly pattern to it. They come with a varied magnetic field on them, so when they pass through a electromagnetic field the variances create detectable voltage.
The cashied has a permanent magnet on their bench/under it, and pressing the strip against the permanent magnetic puts a single uniform magnetic imprint on the soft ironm strip. Because it is uniform field it doesn't create the same voltage ripple the encoded strips do.
things like library books can be re-activated by putting them on or over a pulsing electromagnet which strobes the varied pattern back on the strip.
@@temptempy1360 Precisely. The strip in clothing is sometimes this thinner wiggly variant because the strip used in books is stiff and hard, whereas the wiggly one flexes so easily you can barely feel it. You can usually find the strip in the spine of books in a bookstore, if anyone's curious to compare the two.

"Thucydides is like, he thinking of Sparta"
Thucydides, an Athenian general in the Peloponnesian war AGAINST Sparta: o.0
Me, surprised that they got that close and in the right time period:
but Thuc was also very impressed with the Spartian abilities and priorities.
Spartan women owned the property, stayed home, taught daughters many skills of intelligence, skill, and athletics so to have greater soldiers.
The Spartan women often had multiple husbands, if her holdings and helots could produce enough to support the barracks fees of several sons and husbands, and the distinguished husbands could be required to impregnate many daughters/wives, this was done to have the best chance of a creating a strong set of genes that could fight well enough to gain his citizenship of Sparta.
The head pat and the following sound at the end was very wholesome.

I don’t even believe myself 😆”

Those "tracking devices" on those bras are actually anti-theft devices. And it probably says it on the tag and to cut it off before using so store theft alarms don't start blaring every time you pass the sensors.
It's actually an RFID, which is the same thing in things like an ID badge. They only have a range of a few feet, but they use it to keep track of their inventory without having to do any manual counting. The lingerie game has high rates of theft, so just using sales to keep your stock up to date doesn't work very well.
@@MillerJustinFS Yes and no. It's a **passive** RFID tag, which simply resonates in tune with the theft-prevention scanners at the entrance to the store. It does not contain any information; essentially it's just a tuned antenna. The little plastic rectangles you find glued inside books and packages like video games or DVD movies are also passive RIFD tags. Cut one open and you'll just find a piece of foil, shaped specifically to resonate with a theft-prevention system.
Things like ID badges use **active** RFID, which incorporates a small transmitter on a chip that broadcasts a serial number. It is extremely low power, and runs off a capacitor that is charged by waving the coil embedded in the badge through the magnetic field emitted by the sensor. Those sort can be used for inventory tracking, but are easily distinguished by the tiny chip and capacitor as well as the large coil/antenna arrangement.
Source: I used to work for a company that made this stuff.
@@MrJest2 I am left wondering in what capacity you worked for the company that made that stuff. A passive RFID tag is named thus because it doesn't have a battery, not because it doesn't transmit a serial number. If it didn't transmit a trackable serial number it would be useless for preventing theft because you can't differentiate between stolen and purchased items.
@@MrJest2 If you are referring to 'chipless' RFID, you have the terminology all wrong.

@Damon Cord It's not farfetched, though. Companies try to pass off their data harvesting as analytics for quality control, and BS like that, all the time.
@Damon Cord pretty much this, its just a RFID tag.
The whole point of putting you into the shoes of a nigh indefensible position is so you can learn how to debate even when your opponent is very good. You’re not meant to actually agree with the Confederates or with Slavery, you’re meant to learn how to debate no matter how hard, and on the flip side it’s a good way to teach people how to not just believe flowery words or confidence, which would help an awful lot in today’s society with people just following the loudest asshole on the block
On the other hand, forcing someone to defend a viewpoint they don't actually believe is not instructive nor fair in a debate. I remember one time in high school a teacher made us write persuasive essays about randomly chosen topics that we weren't allowed to change. Mine was why weed shouldn't be legalized, which I simply could not defend as my view on the topic at the time was that it should be legalized (for context, this was in 1998 in California) as everyone who wanted to do it already were doing it and, except for the elderly and a few religious nuts, everyone else really didn't care if others were doing it or not, so outside of the whole decriminalization aspect, making weed legal was largely ceremonial and wouldn't have changed the demographics all that much. So I literally wasn't able to make the argument being asked of me simply because I could not bring myself to go against my beliefs, and even in 1998 there was overwhelming evidence that keeping weed illegal was damaging to society so even if I was able to get over my own beliefs, I wouldn't have had much of an argument anyway.
@@Dargonhuman Making marijuana legal is and was far from ceremonious. Maybe it seems that way as a consumer but the industry itself doesnt work that way and were pleaged by the feds for years. Legal grows and care providors to this day jump through an absurd amount of hoops for the sake of legality amd the feds still can just decide if they dont like it despite state rulings on the substance.
Thats not even pointing out the logistical nightmare itd be to expunge or amend records and time served for the convicted or border states becoming legal beds for cartel money laundering though a legal crop. Pro 420 btw.
I agree with seeing different views, and even researching and arguing for them, even if you don't agree, but some things aren't even nigh indefensible, they just aren't.
Like slavery. I don't care how many pros you put to it, I see no sound argument for it on human rights alone, not to mention being solely reliant on unpaid labor will put your business at significant risk once that labor demands payment/freedom, even at risk of their own lives.
It really doesn't matter whether or not the debate is all that fair.
It's all purely about learning to construct a cohesive argument, based on collected information.
Besides, how else would you have mock debates?
It's not much of a debate if both parties agree on everything, and I don't think it's fair, nor appropriate to force students to take their true side, as they may want to keep that private.
Learning to separate your personal opinion from a given task, is another valuable skill those debates teach.
Also its a good way to train your creative thinking.
There are some good arguments for slavery, she was just not able to think of them.

FYI: 3:22 'Soaking' is a common myth that surrounds Mormon's of college age (particularly at BYU). While I don't doubt someone has fallen for believing that, they learned it from the myth, not from any actual prevalent belief. 'Jump-Humping' is far more recent addition to the myth added to make the already insane idea more extreme. Mormon's are plenty messed up as it is, we don't need to spread these insane myths about them just to make them seem more messed up. Source: I'm an ex-Mormon still living in Utah who keeps up on the sociological studies and analysis.
7:30 there is a bit more backstory to this. The guy was also speeding around and stuff like that, it was kinda karma on his end.
He actually hit her first lol. Then have the audacity to act casual.
Yes! There's another street camera that shows he DID hit her car first a few lights before and he kept going. Still bad that she crashed into him out of revenge though.
Was just getting ready to comment this! Glad someone else pointed this out
Yup. He drove around her at the stop light because she was literally a second late in moving. There was a bicycle crossing the crosswalk in front of her, that's why she didn't go. He swerved to avoid the biker and sideswiped her
yup like this shit so they can see or post i on their reddit
Spartans were actually fairly smart.
Vaguely related, sass was a mandatory lesson, if a Spartan wasn't enough of a smartass they were punished and sent back to class.
Oh, I'm SURE they TOTALLY had classes like that...
(Did I pass, teacher?)
i can just imagine Spartans running into battle and absolutely demoralising their enemies with sarcastic jabs. 😂
@@kadaleyes how do you think Leonidas came up with the reply "come and get them" when the persians asked the spartans to lay down their weapons? XD

Jeannie: What animal is this?
Henry: It's a bird, wait no a rabbit... A spider maybe?
12:56 Name a fish that doesn't have "A" in it. Perch, pickerel, bluefish, flounder, grouper, gold Fish, puffer Fish.
Trout.
Perch /Taxon Name - Perca. American Pickerel /Taxon Name - Esox americanus. Bluefish /Taxon Name - Pomatomus saltatrix. Summer Flounder /Taxon Name - Paralichthys dentatus. Grouper /Taxon Name - Epinephelinae. Goldfish /Taxon Name - Carassius auratus. Pufferfish /Taxon Name - Tetraodontidae
@@daveacker7427 Nobody gives a shit because nobody knows the taxonomic names of animals outside of biology specialists. The vast majority of people call things by their common names, so perch, pickerel, etc. all count as not having "a" in the names.
Muskie, Sturgeon, Bluegill, minnows, Mudskippers, Herring, paddlefish, walleye, All of which just live in North America
@@aye_its_sparky7164 pAddlefish and wAlleye both have "a"'s in them.
6:25 The same thing happened to me, once. In 5th grade or so, I was asked to defend what I saw as a basically indefensible position as an exercise. Don't remember the exact subject, but I do remember flat out refusing because I couldn't think of a single thing that was right about the topic of argument.
The Mahi-Mahi fish is the "Dolphin Fish" as distinct from the dolphin/porpoise which is a mammal. Of course there's also no "A" in Red Fish, Brim, Grouper, Cod, Pigfish, Goldfish, and many more.
He actually did hit her moments before she hit him. There’s another video showing him sideswipe her at the light before they turn.
yeah she is suing him for defamation of character. This is another example of people only seeing one side of the story and deciding who guilty in 30 seconds.
Came here to say this, it's really crazy how easy it is to create false narratives millions of people can fall for. That girl had every right to be mad af

Yeah. It is really sad how he scraped her car and then acted as if nothing happened while on camera. He knew exactly what he was doing.
She shouldn't have ran into him in retaliation though, lol.

The thing with the house is that it is a inspection, if everything is in order and sutch idk how it is in America but here in the netherlands there is something that protect the buyers from shady contract company's most of the time there is a third party involved that checks once every copple of weeks to see if everything is in order and has the qwality that it should have, so that these sort of things dont happen.
She is so adorable when she does that anime voice.
@GT Webb I'm just imagining the amount of money she could make doing anime voice overs
The "fish without an A in it" was... idk guys. Especially when Henry suggested "Salmon". Facepalm is getting real meta.
It took me about 5-10 seconds to think of a fish without an A in its name, which is Longer than I Thought it would take...
I went through bass, tuna, sergeant major, gar, and tilapia before I thought of pike, or sturgeon
Trout...
goldfish?!
The buyers most likely hired the Inspector before commiting to buying the house, like you should.

"You know the IQ test isn't accurate..." You always hear this from people after they've taken one and didn't get the score they wanted or, as she did, they bring up something they heard to try to make the test evil somehow. The fact is that it measures pattern recognition and basic logics skills, the better you are at recognizing patterns, predicting what comes next, and applying logic to those patterns the easier it is for you to learn and make accurate predictions about situations. That is what intelligence is, that is what it measures, I get so tired of people trying to include their random ideas and definitions of what intelligence is like emotional intelligence and shit. I didn't get the genius level IQ score I wanted either, get over it. I'm sure Jeannie just heard this from someone and didn't put much thought or research into it, but the amount of times I've hear this as cope from people who don't have the highest IQ in the room is unreal.
14:52 The plot of Twins, Henry described the plot of Twins
The guy in the Lambo actually did hit the girls car first. So, jokes on the dude trying to make her look bad. Additional footage from that intersection proved he was in the wrong.
both were in the wrong both caused an accisdent on seperate occasions
@@LIAuNXeNON oh, 100% both were wrong. Just pointing out that the dude did wrong as well.
True, initial sideswipe wasn't severe though I believe and probably didn't cause much damage. Insurance often splits responsibility and he would be on the hook for the initial swipe. She would be on the hook for rear ending him on the other hand, which will be a lot of money. Well for her insurance. Which will cause her rates to go up quite a bit.
Yes she messed up by running into him after he sideswiped her and ran.....what this really points out is even with all the people filming everything it still cant be trusted......Don,t believe everything you see
Sauce?
With a lot of these new developments, you tend to buy them before they are built, or as the development is being built, so you don't get to see the finished product first, only the renderings or their display unit (what is obviously always done perfectly, regardless of the workmanship of the other units being built).

Oh. My. Gawd. Jeannie Rimmer’d the facepalm!
We had the same kinds of issues on our new house, we "only" paid $360k though, not $500k, but this is what happens when you have these production home companies. I went through with a fine-tooth comb and made the builder fix ALL of those issues AND clean up the trash they left behind. There was a hand-sized chip/crater on the edge of our bathroom countertop that was clearly visible from the far side of the room, although not as noticeable if you were standing next to the counter, yet they still installed it with nearly 1/2 the corner broken off. Another common thing they will do is if you were to take your countertop off your center island of your kitchen, you'll most likely find bottles and trash in there as well as in between your walls. It's pathetic how much these homes cost and how shitty the craftsmanship is because they are rushed to finish it as fast as possible so they can move on to the next housing project and pump out 50-150+ homes every couple months. While the materials are of nice quality (at least in our home they were), the way they assembled it and slapped everything together resulted in many of the materials being damaged and needing to be replaced and/or repaired. If they would've just slowed down, they could have avoided the cost of replacement and waste of time, theirs and mine.
The home inspection (I just bought a house) is usually done to make sure the house meets all safety requirements, building standards, and local building codes (extremely important) before you actually buy it. A report goes to both realtors (buyer and seller), AND to the lending bank for mortgage insurance purposes (to make sure they're not going to be loaning money for a 'money pit'); I'm betting all of these things needed to be fixed before any money changed hands 'cause there's no WAY a bank - at least not a bank of any reputation - could insure this 'lemon' as-is (or the buyers walked away, thanking their lucky stars they dodged a bullet).
That post about the "Christians in church" thing might be a church gathering to honor dead soldiers/cops or something similar. If you look closely, the people at the front held rifles, while those behind held old pictures of what seem to be men who have already passed away (in duty). Those guns might be representative of the service firearms of those who died for their country in the line of duty.
That could also explain why there were so many women, considering how many husbands, brothers, and fathers die in the armed services
It's a cult. They were on the news last week or so. Something about buying up massive amounts of land including a compound and a bunker.
No, just cult stuff

The guy inspecting the home was probably a home inspector. You usually have one go through the house to make sure everything is not only up to code but that everything works properly.
Henry's plan for a "supper baby" is actually the plot of the movie "twins" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger
You forgot to mention that it also starred Danny Devito, playing his twin.

Fun fact about IQ tests, age is a factor in the final score. They can test the IQ of toddlers by presenting them with puzzles to see how quickly they can solve the puzzles and how hard of puzzles they can solve. They rate the performance and divide the score by the age to get an IQ.
The article says that babies born during the pandemic have a lower IQ, but the IQ of babies has been on the decline for a long time. It's just now they have something to blame it on that makes some level of sense other than the decrease in actual parenting.
spoken with actual thought and logic my dude
earlier babies and toddlers are generally judged by reactions to things (such as reaching and grasping, and startling to light or sound), and then later by hand-body & and hand-eye behaviour coordination in basic tasks
Children not being able to interact with as many people as often is absolutely a legitimate reason for a drop in IQ and not remotely an excuse.
