I'm 63 and I have to say that your channel is the one I look forward to seeing the most. Your humor and especially Jeanie's emotions when she sees something so heartwarming, you guys are so genuine, and it makes your channel the best on CZcams. You had almost 40,000 views in just one hour, that tells you how much your fans love you and are just waiting in hopes that you will post a video each day. I just got some devastating health news and I didn't think anything could help my instant depression, but I was wrong. This video was special, it makes you reflect on the special times in your life. Even though I am alone, I have my dog Daisy and she is the best medicine (other than your videos) I could ask for when times are tough. I worry more about how she will be when I'm gone. Please don't ever change, I think many of your followers like me feel withdrawal pains when you go a long time without posting a video.

As someone who has fallen on hard times I can attest to some acts of kindness. A year ago, running out of money I while being mis/undiagnosed with lupus for six years I was almost evicted until I finally was diagnosed. The landlord decided not to evict but wait for section 8. Then over the last year had people help me paying my mobile bill or I wouldn’t be able to contact my doctors easily. Many medical professionals had also helped me. Finally the volunteers at my local food pantry last month gave me all this food and it wasnt the first time they saw I needed help. Our country’s “safety net” doesn’t exist. I was recently denied disability once again after more than a year of trying. If it wasn’t for acts of kindness I would be in a much worse position.
So when someone gives a pizza, even a Domino’s pizza. It can mean so much. I really don’t think some people know how much hope that brings to someone’s life.
It's widely abused. I know people who qualify through loopholes or technically qualify but don't really need it. And others who receive a large compensation and blow it on gambling or drugs. Until they fix how wasteful the system is, it will be slow and cumbersome.
@@berekexer8158 I’m not sure what you mean by “highly”. Any system will be abused. But the current system there is a wait of one year to get to a hearing. My appeal to this hearing will be my second in total and will probably hit the two year mark. Almost every application is denied on the first try. For people with lupus 60% get approved at the first appeal. So they have already gone through an application then appeal and finally hearing. That is the slightly more than one year mark. The internet is replete with examples of people who have fought the system with diseases like MS for three or four years. Then there are the really sad cases of people with cancer who have been fighting for those four years only to get their first check in the month they die. In recent testimony before Congress the head of SSA had to remind Marjorie Taylor Greene that Congress hasn’t increased funding for SSA in more than ten years because she just couldn’t understand why SSA wasn’t faster. Republicans purposely are not funding it to get it to fail then wonder why.
My High School has a dedicated building for Auto Shop / Auto Body... and it now sits empty, the school district refuses to fund any courses. The only use it gets is one random person from a local company volunteers time to teach students how to do basic maintenance, like oil changes, but literally nobody actually learns how to fix their car anymore. I am actually quite proud of the fact that I can do all my own maintenance (yes all), even if sometimes I elect to have someone else do it, but more important, that I have been teaching my kids how to take care of their own cars. Last year I took two days to show them how to replace the entire timing system on a V8, biggest single project I have shown them, and I hope that they retain enough to at least not get taken advantage of when they have to go to a mechanic, who can't even fix their car, because their High School cancelled the classes that would have taught them how to be a mechanic.

30 years ago, digital cameras were in it's infancy. Those pictures were made with an analog camera, using rolls of film. The quality was indeed that good, provided they used a decent camera.
EDIT: looking at the aspect ratio, I would say 35 mm fullframe camera, apart from that one Polaroid pic.
I mean, there are mvs from the 70s and 80s that are so high quality that the digital copies of those mvs are of a lower quality.

I bought a 1 MP digital camera in 1998, one of the very very first commercial cameras
Back when people were buying digital cameras a lot (i.e. right before everyone had a decent camera on their cell phone) I remember learning that a standard 5x7 film photograph has about the same quality/resolution as a 5x7 picture from a 7 megapixel digital camera.
Also, it's easily possible they still had the negatives from the old store envelope and they could have gotten them converted to digital.

This one was really hard to watch, as I kept crying, but I also appreciate the change of pace as while it was still funny, I appreciated having moments to help me get some of this out. Thank you.

Someone stole my dog November 2022. He was 12 years old, and I had know him since he was born. The day he opened his eyes, he came over and layed on my foot after playing with his siblings and I knew he was my homie for life.
We traveled all over together.
I never got any closure. He got out my dads backyard and someone picked him up.
I am angry that he is gone. I miss him so much. When i see other dogs that look like him i have to go and check if its him. I think I see him all over, but its never him.
Its been over a year but I still cry thinking about him.
I hope he is living out his old age, happy and being taken care of.

@@woodstream6137 Way too long of a story to want to post all the details here. TL;DR he went into a bar 10 mins down the street looking for me. The bar tender said she thought he was a stray and shooed him away multiple times. Her story changed a few days later when I brought flighers (photos of him with my number) and posted them inside the place, and then someone took the fliers down a few weeks later
@@woodstream6137 If the dog is a "desirable breed", some lowlifes will steal them to breed them for selling puppies because some dog breeds are expensive. An example, a Shiba Inu puppy can easily run $1,000 or more. I know this because I want a Shiba Inu. The best hope is this persons dog maybe got lost and found by a loving home and they just never was able to find the original owner. It does happen like that sometimes. Some pets do get reunited after years of being apart, that happens too.

I had moved from Arizona to OKC, and instead of keeping him cooped up in my house all day, I let him play in the backyard with my father's dogs. He has a husky who digs. Rowdy found an area he could get out, and left looking for me.

First, acknowledging the good blokes here who've had their lower frenulum torn. Ouch!
However, there are also 3 frenulum in your mouth, under your tongue, between your upper gum and top lip, and between your lower gum and bottom lip.
So I'm a little torn which frenulum warranted a frenulemon cake.
There is a surgical procedure: frenectomy.
After I was circumcised as a baby, as the cut foreskin edge healed a part of it got attached to the bottom edge of my bell-end, forming a "penile adhesion" aka a "skin bridge". It's located on the top side of my dick, opposite side as the frenulum. When I was younger and... tended to get harder, I would sometimes stick a Q-tip halfway through the tunnel (I called it the "moat") under the bridge. Then I could brag that I got a genital piercing without breaking any flesh! :P
TBH It kinda reminded me of those tribal people who wear septum piercings made of really long, horizontal, sharp carved bones.

I remember when I was a young child, and YT was becoming a well-known platform. I watched all of these incredible young men and women and kids make niche little videos that jived so well with their viewers at the time. Over the years, these people eventually grew larger and larger until they had thousands, hundreds of thousands, and millions of subscribers, all of whom would check in each time they released a video to see their favorite individuals do DIYs or play games or whatever it might have been. Many of them are retired now with the ability to spend their time elsewhere and with their families, and it makes me feel incredible to see people doing the same thing today in a completely different era. I still watch some of these people today. Don't ever be afraid of stepping out of your comfort zone, everyone. You never know what could happen.

32:51, Being in a similar situation myself I'm finding the bags of leaf salad and cheapest loafs of bread from lidls are keeping me satisfied for the most part. I still end up buying a sausage roll and coffee from wendels on the way to lidls though so I buy in bulk. Also appreciative of the fortnightly food bags that a friend from the local gospel gives.
Though even without those extras I reckon I could subsist on just the leaf salad sandwiches for a long period. Recently however I've found that the bargain veg deals at lidls are helping manage my costs better. For example a bag of potatoes and carrots from those deals costs 15p each (rough equiv of 15cents in america value wise), not always available but being able to just boil them over the course of 3 days roughly (along with some onions) is enough to keep my tongue satisfied too.
So if you're in a similar situation maybe give the bargain sections a look like I am now.

Here's a cute thing I discovered today, my family got a second kitty a few months ago, today marks 5 months she's here. She made herself the habit to chase after me since I work at home and today I discovered she instantly goes to cuddly mode if a give her soft scratchies at the sides of her neck.

@@phoebusapollo8365 The point is that being a parent has stresses, and you don't always act how you should when you're stressed. It's easy to think you wouldn't get mad at your kid for an accidental spill when you're only looking at it happening once. It's different though when you have to deal with them day in and day out making messes that you have to clean up because they aren't paying attention to their surroundings.
@@ArbidarbGetting mad is normal. Yelling isn't. If you have trouble reigning in your anger and venting in healthy ways, you need help learning to manage it. There are good and bad ways to deal with things, work to do the good.

They should do their best to express themselves in the best ways for their children, but they will fail. Part of being a parent is accepting that no matter how hard you try your kid will always have something to complain to a therapist about. And you won't know how you'll succeed and fail as a parent until you are one.
@MrNaesme Yelling is absolutely normal. It shouldn't happen often but someone yelling at you can just mean you were the last straw. If this happens rarely that most likely means that person has gone overboard in managing their emotions and finally broke.

12:34 Film Camera technology hasn't changed much in the last 50 years, I have an old 1978 Nikon, that still takes beautiful pictures. I don't get to use it often, as film is a pain to get a hold of and develop, so I now use digital mostly. Digital has changed significantly, My first digital camera took images at 320 x 240, now you can get digital cameras up to 45 MP, high enough to print a poster sized (30"x40") image at 300dpi (standard print quality).

We've done this due to a friend having a punctured lung and the police saw us drive past a red light, came after us, we didn't stop until the hospital (it was a relative short drive) and when the police saw what happened, they said *_"ok, but next drive put your hazards on"_* so we know it's and emergency and we can help.

Perhaps you guys should stop going go to the clubs that the university kids go to. I'm not a prof but I work at a university. In my position there isn't any conflict of interest if I hooked up with students. But it can be a tricky situation for faculty.
