I was a commercial electrician in my 20's but we would occasionally get sent out to residential calls.
You have no idea how many people were/are clueless about anything having to do with electricity. Walked into people's homes and reset a few GFCI's, turned off then back on a few tripped breakers. Felt kinda bad that my company charged them $90 for me to walk in and do that on almost every one.
Well they often have never had to deal with it - or their cars and a lot of other stuff.

As a german it is very strange to see those two reacting to a german TV show at 2:01, especially a show I watched live when it was aired, haha. Explanation for non germans. The one cutting the Bretzel (german for pretzel) in half is Steffen Henssler, a famous german cook who shows up alot in TV. In this show the one in red on the left was competing in several games against Steffen Henssler for the chance to win alot of money. In this particular game of the show they had to compete in halving different things as perfectly as possible to earn points to win the show.

I've actually dove in that very Blue Hole in Belize. It was only my second dive and I dove to 120 ft. There's absolutely no life growing in it as the water can't circulate but the rock formations are incredible. Highly recommend

the factory one hits home, i went for a job about a year ago in a chicken processing plant and my role for 8 hours a day was to move chicken from one conveyor to the other, they were PARALELL! and ANGLED PIECE OF METAL could have done that job. I lasted 3 hours it was SOUL DESTROYING
I think the only real reason people are there are incase the machines break or a problem happens so someone can hit the stop button and repair the issue.
Try security. One of the accounts they had involved sitting in your car in a locked gravel parking lot for 12hrs. It was a weekend only gig at a chicken packaging plant and we had to open the gate if a truck came which was rare.

I wondered if they were there just for quality control. If that is the case, then they probably won't notice any bad parts go through if they're asleep. Then again, there's usually QC at the end of the line, so idk. Not that I blame anyone for being so bored bc I used to work at a plastic mold injection factory, and 1 particular press was sooo slow that you had to just sit and do nothing for 15 mins until a part came out, then you give a quick visual inspection and on it goes. I just played tetris all day on my old flip phone bc you're right, it's very soul destroying. I'd prefer to stay busy so time will go by quicker.

If the Candidate wins he gets 250K€ or something like that, if the Celebrity wins the Price Money gets stacked to the 250K of the next show, so the next contestant can win 500K

The first baby was teething, that's why they looked excited to chew on moms face, and also sad at the same time. Usually you give em toys to chew on, and if they can't seem to calm down or get sleep there's this stuff called oral Gel it numbs the gums for instant teething relief. My boys are all grown up but that clip brought back memories.

In the Avril Levigne clip I think what the guy meant was one of the urban dictionary versions of tight. In the 90s and early 2000s tight meant like cool, good, or popular. We would say "Dude that song is tight".

Please dont use this as a joke guys, and I advise against looking it up further. It is gut wrenching, and there are pictures of him at the end tha will leave you traumatized if you have any type of humanity.
Also, his family was there the whole time (or nearly, it's been a while since I learned about this), hoping for him to recover. It was never a simple matter of "they forcefully kept him alive". It just saddens me that the grief of a family, the moral obligations of doctors and nurses, were all just boiled down to being "evil people who wanted him to suffer as long as possible". Forgive the mild rant under your comment.
The Guy purposefully told them to do it. They tried Euthanizing him and he refused and demanded they study it for science. He wasn't a victim of medicine, he was a volunteer.

@@felipew101 he was kept alive because he wanted to for a while. he was fighting hard to stay alive and several times it looked like the sickness was going to turn around. he knew he was a rare case to be studied and hopefully help people that would have a similar experience to save their lives. he went braindead after the first or second time he "died" and after that they decided it was time to let him go. a lot of people paint the staff in a negative light when that wasn't the case at all. everyone there loved the guy. nothing was kept from the family. and everything was handled with the utmost respect. not everything has to have the "bad guys". this was a tragic story of a very brave man and a medical staff that tried their hardest to save a man they came to know and respect as he was suffering through something new and very intense all while keeping a positive attitude while he was conscious.

in some countries it's cheaper to use human labor for tasks. complex machines costs lots of money and to have to maintain those machines and the electricity to run those machines cost more money. so when the population is so large, most people don't have jobs anyways, then it's much cheaper to hire them at a very low wage to do those jobs... it's only in countries that labor is expensive that it's more cost effective to use machines.... look at CA and their minimal wage increase, now business are switching to machines to replace the costly workers....
depends, if there is a second task like damage / quality control it could make sense to hire people for that EVEN if it looks like they arnt doing much because, let me tell you, maschines are extraordinary bad to control parts, especially if it is a complex multi formed object.
that doesnt mean that what you said is wrong, im certain you are right BUT it isnt always the reason for manual labor in a menial task.
The guy with the brush could have literally been replaced by some metal holding that brush and that would probably cost less than $10. These jobs are probably there to keep the unemployment rate low (looks a lot like china many of these videos).

My dad got an old Corolla in near perfect physical condition that only needed a few old parts replaced with newer ones.

The Show was called "Schlag den Raab" translated to "Beat the Raab" which was created by Showmaster Stefan Raab for his TV Station Pro7 here in Germany, where a competitor tries to wins 500.000 Euro against the Showmaster in 15 different games from Game 1 which was worth 1 Point to game 15 which was worth 15 Points. The had to play crazy like that one. Later as the Showmaster retired they replaced him with another Showmaster called Steffen Henssler and change the name to "Schlag den Henssler". Today the still run the show but instead of 1 competitor against a Showmaster, they let fight 2 German celebrities against each other for charity.

the show at 2:00 is from germany and originated from a show called "schlag den raab" formerly moderated by Stefan Raab (that's why its "Schlag den Raab" because you challenged Stefan Raab in various games) and after he retired they kept the concept and filled it in with other people that were somewhat famous from german tv series. Some people find it entertaining but i personally had more fun watching takeshi's castle.
