There was still a w because when crossing out like that it’s basically subtraction 2 w’s over 1 w which is basically 2w-1w leaving 1w. Basic math
you get 2 very different results depending on which "w" you decide to cross out from "flew.grown". it can be "flown" or "flwon".
Fan Fact: Holding your breath is an instinct among a lot of air-breathing animals, and those that don't usually learn very quickly. In fact, human babies instinctively hold their breath and kick their legs when submerged (it stops after age three)
Babies get dumber?
@St. Haborym water up the nose only happens when you are upside down.
@St. Haborym wasn't sure whether or not you were actually referring to not being able to hold your breath or just having water go up your nose.
@@Ether165 In some ways, we do get dumber as we age. Like we learn hot to do weird shit with our mouths to speak by watching people do that. This includes rolling r/l, making that weird r/l hybrid sound found in Japanese, or even sounds that use the back of the mouth like the ch in Chanukah. Usually, if a person hasn't learned these sounds by age 7, it can take a long time to learn the sound and often requires not only seeing someone do it but also instructions about what all is going on to make that noise.
you activated my manual breathing dammit!
3:16 and 18:25 honestly I don't think either sound particularly aggressive, the first one definitely had more of a tone to it but it's pretty obvious it was a bit of a "are you really trying to correct me on this shit?" moment.
Honestly I think both sound fairly attractive, and of course Jeannie's reaction to the towel lift was hilarious
Smth similar happened to me actually except it was Japanese instead lmao
I tried to order a Japanese bottled soda from this lady's Asian cuisine cafe, they're known as Ramune (pronounced exactly as it looks, 3 syllables, Ra-mu-ne) at the time I was taking Japanese classes and my teacher was actually Japanese from Nagano, so I knew how to pronounce Japanese, and it comes naturally to me anyway. I was told I sound native actually
Anyway that cafe lady had the audacity to tell me that it was pronounced Ra-moon kinda like Ramone with an ooh sound
And I was just thinking like "wow you're serious?" Like damn I know I look like a basic white boy but I'm not stupid lmfao 💀💀
@St. Haborym I dont know why but that russian woman makes me mad, or well annoys me. Who cares if it is Borsch if youre in another country they pronounce it differently. Like in most countries they dont say "Italia" but italians dont get offended, as an example.
10:13 The guy who said “that’s the most fugged up thing i’ve ever seen” was holding a cane for blindness 😂
3:17 scared me, sounded exactly like my aunt, and she said something along the lines of: seriously, you're gonna tell me how to speak russian, give me some vodka and caviar girl
14:25 My son has been swimming since 18 months, it is a natural ability to be able to hold your breath underwater for any mammal.
And it's a Golden Retriever, it's what they were bred for
I think the term is the mammalian dive reflex
your son was swimming way before that
For humans, it's a natural ability only for a short period of time after birth, which is why it's good to take an infant to the water very young so they retain this skill. An older child or adult that forego this activity will no longer know how to swim instinctively and will need to be retaught. Other mammals instinctively know how to swim no matter what as they are in in an ideal swimming position naturally, being horizontal from walking on all 4. Others don't, such as primates, as they tend to be in a more vertical position from climbing trees, so their reflex when in water is to try to "climb out" of it instead of going flat and moving their limbs to swim. It may feel unreal that some people can't swim, but if you've never been anywhere near water your whole life, you can indeed drown very easily. I've seen videos of people drown barely a few feet from the bank... Sad stuff.
Any mammal except humans. After age 3, human instinct is just to panic. A significant portion of humans, when put into water, start to hyperventilate and flail about and will just inhale the water if submerged instead of making any effort to hold their breath. More than 30% of humans demonstrate this response, as opposed to less than 5% for other species.

Mammalian dive reflex: "I'm about to ruin this gal's day" =P

So if the "T" in "borscht" is silent, then I have to wonder who added the T in the Romanized English spelling of "borscht" and *_why._*
@@BloodyBay I don't know to be honest it could be some older version of Russian or some dialect that had been used to spell in the first place in English and then the English stuck with it who knows. Like the spelling of Dmitry can be quite different but come from many sources and the same Russians so it could be some guy hey I think English would spell it Borscht and some guy went yes that makes sense
@@dmitryivanov5411 That's fair. Now that I think about it, the English language has many different accents and dialects, and I imagine that the Russian language does too. Even here in Texas, the correct pronunciation of words like "salmon" ("SAL-mun" versus "SAM-mun") rages on, and a certain racist poem by H.P. Lovecraft proves that British people pronounce "figure" in a way that's considerably different from how American people pronounce it. ("FIG-ger" versus "FIG-yoor")

Super easy with a jar key. Banging the lid helps to break away the friction so that you only have to deal with the vacuum friction. But a jar key is used to break the vacuum so there is almost no friction to contend with.
dunno what a jar key is, but i assume it achieves the same purpose as sticking a butter knife under the lid and twisting to break the seal and let air in?
I usually roll the jar on the fool and let bump into the wall. Not sure why it works. Saw someone do it and now I do it too.
I just turn the jar over, give it a firm thump on the bottom, which pops the seal. Literally a two seconds.
A screwdriver or butter knife handle tapped around the top of the outside edge will nearly always accomplish the same thing. My mother use to have a jar opener from early 1900s, all metal with a single set toothed jaw and another sliding toothed jaw on a rounded u shaped handle. You could open any jar you wanted with that thing. It even had a nail sized punch on the end. I guess if you just couldn't release the pressure any other way, punch a hole and take the lid off maybe?
I don't remember the last time i laughed this hard this often 😂
