Eh, an unfortunately large percentage of people tend to just double down when it comes to that sort of thing. My cousin's egg donor and so called 'mother' literally once said "how could you expect me to choose my son over my husband?" when the husband in question was horrifically abusive to the son in question, and has multiple SA allegations against him that he was only found innocent of due to lack of evidence (because he was a paramedic and specifically preyed upon barely conscious women who's testimony then couldnt be relied on 🙃)
Why would anyone look for a missing item in the pitch darkness of another persons room? No one would. There is something going on here and it's bad.

@@RyukinJakka heh, if I didn’t have younger siblings I would’ve ran and never came back when I turned 18, but she was also a mom that never really was there (her mental issues fucked her over too much and so she just slept most my life) I raised the youngest of us siblings since she was 3 weeks old, she used to call me mom, my mom wants to put only her up for adoption because, I’m not kidding you, she’s too autistic for her (level 2 autistic diagnosis at age 3) my other sibling under her care is my poor brother, just turned 15 himself a month ago, she’s okay with him because “he’s quiet” his quiet because he’s scared of our mother.
We have a older brother that decided that his helping us was sending us awake to a whole other state 6 years ago with our mom, nearly killed me, the homesickness left me literally unable to eat for nearly a month. Me and the 15 year old had never been out of our old state, he was young enough to bounce back, me? Not so much, I only stayed in the new state to ensure my siblings are safe and to continue my relationship in person, me and my parents intended to take the 15 year old away, my father taking the 4 year old.

Op should take her kid to his doctor and explain everything that happened and how he is acting. The doctor should be able to order therapy, and it should be covered by insurance if the doctor decides it is "necessary." It still might not happen because insurance companies are the spawn of Satan, but it might be worth the try

I had the same exact situation happen with my daughter and my husband’s brother (by different fathers so they didn’t grow up in the same house, his brother’s father had custody of his kids-not the mother). We weren’t living with him, but he would come and stay with us from a different state to visit. He had zero interest in my son, but was bat crap crazy about my daughter-who is admittedly cute. She was a very great favorite of the little boys in her class long before children get to the romantic phase, and would sometimes come home with gifts or notes from male classmates. My brother in law is strange and has no luck with women. He wouldn’t get away from my daughter and was putting off creepy vibes-even going so far as to try and get her alone away from me which I absolutely would not stand for and we got into arguments. I had no solid proof of anything bad but my instincts were screaming. Fast forward to a visit to my mother in law’s house in the brother in law’s same state. I saw him get up and go into the back bedroom where my daughter was taking a nap and walked back there to see his hand up under her blanket in her midsection (tummy area) and I freaked out-demanding that he leave her alone and come join the family out in the living room. He argued and refused. I stormed out and whispered furiously to my husband to go get his brother out of our daughter’s bedroom at any cost. He did so. BIL came out sullenly acting like an angry pup. Night came and he complained that he was too tired to leave and his mother said that he could sleep with the kids (as we had the other spare bedroom). I said no, she argued and tried to shush me and override me. I jumped up and went into the guest bedroom and slammed the door so hard the house shook a bit. She came in with her husband looking freaked out and offended. I wasn’t about to back down. She questioned me and I just laid it all out for her. “I don’t trust your son with my daughter!” I explained everything he had done over all of the visits that put up red flags for me and I said “if you insist that he isn’t guilty or that it’s all in my head and that he can stay with my children-we are leaving and we will not be coming back. I am her mother and it is my job to protect her at all costs. I and I WILL do my job, so help me God.” She was floored but admitted that it made sense because his dad was that way-that he had groomed her and abused her from the age of 13 on as her adoptive parents allowed it when he was 27 years old. And his opinion was “get them and train them young”. (Not that it worked out well for him because she left him as soon as she was able to). She apologized to me and they had him go home instead. At a later date I had it out with husband’s brother and we’ve never spoken since. He never married or had kids.

Well the video claims sister wants kids (no idea how she is 42. Mid 30's is possible but a stretch already.) and thinks the kid being around makes the husband "more excited for having kids" so she is intentionally gonna put blinders on if it means she gets what she wants.
Pretty sure the sister would get made at op for having the camera in the house and spin it on her for that OR she would just deny and defend him becuz she has rose tinted windows for eyes. Its possible she in denial of his actions and knows it but just dont want to see what she sees or knows the truth. Some people want to live in that lie that its not true of something that see or been told even with evidence in front of them.
If it can jeopardize the case then you can't show it to her. What if she loses her shit and starts a legal case about the cameras in her own home. Or now that they know the video exists it'll give creeper time to come up with an explanation, so when he's questioned by police and shown the evidence he knows about it and can prepare for a non incriminating reaction. All this would damage the case and it wouldn't surprise me if the police told her not to show it to anyone till the case is closed.
The way the sister is I don't think it would've mattered if she was shown anything she would refuse to believe it.

Story 1 OP did almost everything right she just messed up the order of doing them first after suspecting David is when she should have bought the camera not after confronting and about to move out that's wasted money after the confrontation second she didn't seem to disturb David the second time she found him in her son's room if I was reading along correctly she right to be concerned she just did shit backwards and I know she said her ex was emotionally abusive but that's a bit better than letting her son possibly continue to live with a possible predator.
