Literally! The fact that even Tim, her husband, wanted to press full charges says a lot. A lot of the horrid things she did after the slap would could’ve been avoided if OP pressed charges right then and there.
S1: The first red flag OP should have realized is when Emily got upset at not getting a house for a present. This lady is checking all the boxes for a crazy ex-girlfriend.

Story 1: OP probably was giving off "victim/target" vibes. That wasn't a family matter, that was assault and malicious damage. Charge her a$$ and put her in jail.
S2: Just WTF, proof that no matter how parents try to raise their children their path in life cannot be accurately predicted using a graph. It's just so sad that the son went in contact with the abusive bio father and revealed everything about OP and technically put her in harms way
OP admitted that she wouldn’t let him experience consequences for his actions when raising him. That alone raises entitled cheaters.
This is what happens when you try to play peacemaker and let crazy go unchecked. The whole family was more concerned with pretending everything was okay that they put all of their safety at risk.

2. Keys op car on school grounds and home (Vandalism/destruction of property)
3. Insult and berate her stepkids (Emotional/verbal abuse)
4. Destroyed op rose bushes (Destruction of property)
5. Taking her soon to be ex dog (Dognapping, and based on breed of the dog, thats a felony)
6. Beat up and abuse the dog to where it needs physical therapy/surgery (Animal abuse)
7.Attacked op (Assault/Battery)

Story 1: the least OP could’ve done was say something to her husband instead of being a doormat about the whole thing. Although from the start, OP should’ve not put up with all the BS and told SIL to go eff herself after the first offense.

fyi, it sucks to be the person that reveals the wild nonsense in someone else. but it happens a lot, and it's never the fault of the target. they're just having a bully tantrum. literally all it is every time. they want to "win" the way they did as kids when they bullied people and when they can't they become intolerable.
Story 1. NTA. This is one of those cases where a woman believes if she just has enough kids then her family would be the priority over everyone else. She's coming after you because she doesn't think you'll fight back. So if you won't fight back for yourself, fight to protect your kids.

So Tim allowed abuser in his family quickly and just ignored all the red flags. I mean she got five kids with three different baby daddies and then all not in the pictures questionable and then she abused your kids in your home. I did not talk to his child. Did he not notice any behavior issues with his three girls too, the whole family accepted it like the in-laws your brothers in-laws the sisters in-laws all of them just accepted, knowing that you’re grown as hell getting abused by a grown ass woman yeah I need some counseling.
