I really love seeing the jerk as the engine hydro-locks, shortly followed by the jerk getting out and opening the bonnet as if the problem was under there rather than in the driver's seat.

Not sure he was worried about stalling, I think he was more worried about the exhaust from the first one.

What a weird way to write the English language
It’s mad how people start slow.
Then as soon as they get in the water they speed up.
Lots of these people would have made it through had they not gunned it in the middle.
You're supposed to start very slow on the approuch and then can pick up speed alittle as the water settles. These people all went way too fast
You don't start fast, it's actually a mistake. If you start fast the wave in front becomes high and enters the intake. You want around 10kmh at the lowest gear at a high consistent rpm and never gear up. People start fast and they are at higher gear and realize there's not enough torque when they're few meters in then they change gear, engine stops reving and water goes in the exhaust and the car losses momentum, then they're barges. --coming from someone in philippines where entire towns become oceans every year from typhoons.

When you look where the water level ends up being when people go slowly, you realize that most cars would be perfectly fine going through, if only they didn't blast in full speed. And from what I gathered from other videos, that's what the people there are usually going to tell you - "is it fine to go through?" - "yes, if you take it really slow"

All i see is a no brainers in this videos trying to have some fun or do some kind of shortcut in cars that are not designed for those conditions. Btw yes, watching all those cars passing through such amount of water,and breaking is kinda fun..😉 Peace

It was funny when they would splash the people standing around close enough to get wet. I am germand and English and Irish and I understood this. I am from USA. It is just not fun when the cars get stuck in the middle of the flood. Speeding through the water is not good for the vehicle though. In the USA the police would not let this take place though.

I love how the drivers have no clue as to how an engine works. They then blast through the water, and sit there on the starter doing more damage.
When water gets inside, you have to get out quick, or it is total damaged.
I’m more or less convinced that the G-wagon would’ve gone through without a problem at all.
But I fully understand and respect the driver for “nah” and taking another route.

usually the air filter is locates upper part in the engine room, make speed slow and cross safe.
A lot of cars have their actual intake coming up through the base of the air filter box. Which means it's even lower than the filter box.
