1. ignore 'Road Closed - Flood' sign
2. ignore depth marker
3. drive as fast as possible so wave engulfs the car
4. after the engine has ingested water, and hydro-locked, and cut out. double check your rods are bent by trying to restart repeatedly.
5. if you have broken down in the middle of the ford, and have an electronic handbrake, then make sure you apply the handbrake and then disappear with your keys.
6. Most important of all, if you have ANY landrover vehicle, you must drive as fast as possible, regardless of the speed limit, or any common sense.
Common-sense rules for a happier Britain!
7. Blame the people recoding it for YT for your dead vehicle and stupid life choices!
It's usually the automatic transmission stuck in park rather than the handbrake. Without power you won't be able to put it in neutral. Some have a manual release, but you need access under the car which is tricky if you're stuck in a ford.
Great comment
Yup
See the difference between a professional driver and everyone else, no waves, no damage, nice and gentle does it 👍

That Tesla at the start briefly became a submarine
Yes, but it made it. Some lady in China had hers wholly submerged for a second and it was fine. No air intake is required, and all electrical connections are totally sealed. There's a video of some guy's Model S weighted down so it would only move along the bottom of a long trench to test the systems. There was a little water on the floorboards but it still worked.
@@dzerres I'm impressed, cant wait to see the fully amphibious cybertruck
I mean with all the Teslas catching fire after being In floodwaters I'd definitely be on the watch.
They are still electric vehicles witch aren't compatible with water lol

I think his front license plate flew off @1:34 :O
Would really take these videos to the next level if you could interview the drivers that broke down and again after the repair. Ask them what in the hell they were thinking to ignore the signs, why they decided to make it worse by going faster, how they thought revving a damaged engine would magically fix it, how fast their insurance company declined coverage, and how financially devastated their family is with the unplanned repair bill?
It's really surprising with spiraling inflation how these people can afford the cost of repairs

Lol, That PJ hippie is jumping on the bandwagon - saves being beaten up and winding up security guards I guess.
The tesla didnt even complain, it was like, meh. no worries.
Autopilot, different map loaded, ship ahoy
4:50 The HGV driver was the only one who knew how to drive through water.
The 4x4 drivers are childish wankers.
Nice to see the chap helping the fish.
An actual professional driver VS idiots who think they can drive.
Nonsense.
The Daf LF lorries are a lovely thing to steer, turn on a ten pence piece, fairly reliable too and easy /relaxing to drive, nice cab layout in them too. We have Merc Iveco and Daf models in work but the Dafs head and shoulders ahead in every department so not surprised it went thru without issue. I'm driving a 2018 LF 180/45 at the minute and apart from the TC / Stability control not completely turning off when you try to disable it I'm loving it.
@@ciartdsfa4899 the artic unit was an Iveco, not a DAF.
I aint got a snorkel on my tj, hence why I slowed right down as you see. I aint hydrolocking my engine for people's entertainment lmao

Fair play tae the Iveco driver.
He maybe just went slow to avoid crashing into audi.
I'll never understand the mentality of people "Hmm, road closed, 2 feet of water, slam my foot down and drive into the water as fast as possible"

Thank you for helping the little fishy! ❤
Fair play to the guy saving the fish 👍
Hardly saved it really, could of easily moved it to the other part cars don't pass thru as much

Tesla for the win LOL improper entry and turned out fine
Great clips as always Ben 👊
Love your work Ashley👏👌
Thanks Ashley, hope you’re well 🙌🏼
Love the guy and the fish!
Yesterday in Central Scotland we had horrendous rain and like an idiot I drove on back roads from Alloa to the M90. Roads were like burns and I encountered a serious flood just outside of Saline on the B913. Ominously there was a broken down Volvo on the other side of the water.
So having watched a few of these videos and after stopping for a while, watching what vehicles made it through, working out where the water was less deep, I eventually drove through slowly in my diesel Berlingo Multispace. Wasn’t nearly as deep as on this video though. Useful though to have learned something from these videos. The person in the MX-5 is a lucky idiot..😂
Paging MX-5 owners? I believe the air box and coil pack in some are fitted to the back of the engine bay and high up. So just an idiot but not luck?
Drivers are like yeah let's go in!!!! But a fish? What does the fish do ? Try and get out 😂

He'll get a taste of his own medicine when the water eventually leaks into the battery pack 😂
@@-sargntclashroyaleandmore-491 They're completely sealed as are the motors, not so the various computers, lights and other electrics in it though.
@@-sargntclashroyaleandmore-491 No water can leak there, those packs are tight sealed following strict standards, other way the car would catch fire in no time.
@@andyalder7910 I've seen vids of a guy in california that specialises in repairing teslas and he shown a Tesla model S with corrosion on the top metal plate on the battery pack 😬

On the landie defender.... never a good sign when you've got the diff peeing water.
Bro in the blue defender thought he was hot shit…until he wasn’t 😆
The guy in the Tesla waving LOOK AT ME it's electric and then later finding a barrage of irritating fault warnings which start to plague him, then glitches galore, priceless!!!!
It’s the only car that wouldn’t have had a problem. Water sealed battery and drive train. No air intakes, exhaust etc to choke. They’re put through a deep water trough as soon as they leave the factory.
@@vladuk No one claiming that electricity and water are a good mix - any more than oil and water in an engine. The fact is water can’t get at the high voltage components.
@@vladuk I don’t know what you’ve got against Teslas - but you’re free to have a chip on your shoulder about anything you like. For anyone else reading these comments, maybe just do your own research online and not take the word of someone with an opinion but no actual knowledge 😁
@@vladuk I mean, he's right. Batteries and electronics must be completely sealed at all times for obvious safety reasons. Evidence indicates you just hate EVs since you are separating yourself from reality in order to make a completely false claim. Which is fine, but expect to be called out.
@@vladuk When the hell did I say they weren't powered by those things?? They are certainly better than any ICE vehicle but I don't know anyone who bought a Tesla for the climate... They are just awesome cars with awesome tech. Suddenly all the anti EV people are becoming climate activists complaining about pollution.😂 Whatever. The point is, the electrical components are completely sealed from water and that's a well known fact.. That's it.

2:31 That is a completely brand new Range Rover Sport 😢
Very smart people there
Love to see the teslas going through filling there motors with water 🤣
Their motors don't fill with water... They're completely sealed.
With an EV, it's actually best to get in and out of the water as quickly as possible to prevent water getting through door seals and breather tubes. But otherwise, they'll always fare better than a gasoline or diesel in water.
Idiot 😂
Everything in electric cars is water proof with very high standards

Save the fishy at the end! Most important bit!
A few days later, the Tesla guy doesn’t know why his car is throwing all sort of fault codes!🤦🏻♂️
Plus the interior will be saturated.%
Tesla can go through water that deep no problem. Batteries are completely sealed
@@johntate5050 nope. Interior will be completely fine. No water will have gone in.
Teslas are tested in deep water, like all EVs. They can’t leak or they’d be extremely dangerous in any kind of rain. In China they use them to rescue people in monsoons. No moving parts, very reliable and even at current rates way cheaper to run. Why do people still believe these old horror stories of EVs? The only downside of EVs are the price and sorry to upset the angry mob but Tesla make really good cars. Some older ones, might have issues with build quality but really if you don’t try one, you’re missing out. I’m an ex petrol head.
More bollocks being spouted about the water resistance of Teslas 🙄
Great business for the local workshop!
Never thought id say it in a million years but the artic driver was the only one with any common sense. One of a kind obviously!
