I mean, it was very impressive, but he never actually gained altitude. His descent rate was slower than the grounds though, but he was still falling the whole way, it only looked like he was gaining altitude.
prolly not LOL they prolly gotta hold so steady and also that seems so terrifying no matter how many times you do it, idk how they don't shatter limbs, im bouta look dat up
Yeah must be great but the fact of the matter is maybe 15 other ski jumpers could ve done it given the opportunity and enough tries. Thats why it was never accepted as the world record by FIS standards
@@nikpecenko6843wtf bro? just give the man his flowers and move on. Why do you think RedBull chose him and not anyone else? (Idk the answer but I’m pretty sure RedBull has the gears & logistics to find and scrutinize any talent they’re looking for.)
@@docarii casue they are his sponsor plus he's currently one of the best ski jumpers. But there's alot of people who have a record of 250m or even more than he had to say the least
@@docarii He is right, Kobayashi is not considered to be the best ski jumper at the moment and there are plenty of jumpers who could have done the same. This is a marketing stunt. Impressive jump of course, but still just a marketing stunt. They could make a bigger slope and break this record in a week.

Everything in this video is very good. I know that with effort and dedication, anyone can get to where they always wanted to be. My biggest problem is starting small and not giving up. I really want to still do a sport, enjoy it and dedicate myself to one of it, but even today, at 23 years old, I feel completely rusty and don't know what to do. I know that exercise is good for living well, for adrenaline, as well as being healthy and promoting well-being and happiness, but I feel like I should have done it as a child. Maybe one day...
You are never too old to start a new sport. My good friend and neighbor came up to me when he was 85 and asked me if I wanted to learn a new sport with him. I was 38 at the time and thought I was too old but had no excuse with this 85 year old. The sport was the airchair and we had a lot of fun learning it. Fast forward 10 years. We are still doing it and he just got the world record for the oldest man at 95 years old to hydrofoil on an air hair.
I'm 23 too bro and Ive never been a big sports guy but I'm trying to learn how to make music which is very similar in a lot of ways, maybe you could take that route if you don't wanna physically hurt yourself lol
Its always better to start than to never have started! Everyone has their own journey, you should be proud of yourself for starting in the first place, keep going, you can and will achieve your dreams , im proud of you ❤
Yeah that one really shocked me because had he stayed airborne for even 1 more second he would have landed on flat ground. He literally maximized the entire run perfectly!
That just goes to show that you can do anything, but you HAVE to train and practice to get there. I think thats a good lesson for kids, especially since dude was training since age 7 and it took 20 years.

the progression gave me the absolute chills. the last one he glided through the air as if he was wearing a wingsuit.
It really looks like the skis are almost acting like wings to a degree lmao
He even ascended mid-flight at the end. Wow! 👏👏👏👏

The existence of updraft doesn't mean that's what happened here. The dude would have to weigh way less or have way more surface area.

Should add some wings or flaps to suit, to go even further. That's got to be awesome feeling, flying through the air like that. Congrats on record.
