Great example of why people love and hate skaters
It is quite a divide.. not much in the middle lol
Well said. Just objectively there's a lot to love and hate from this 10 second clip.
The important aspect as a skateboarder is we don’t give a shit what people think. It’s a subculture. Yet the whole world is wearing Vans. Most people don’t get it and we like it that way.
The dudes obviously good if u don't understand skating ig I get it but he's not endangering anyone not even himself he knows what he's doing.
@@jadedxiii8851 the problem is that everyone knows what they are doing til they dont. There are a lot of accidents that are caused by overconfidence rather than mistakes. I, as well as many others, hate the excuse of, "he knows what he is doing," when talking about this. Because the truth is, he may know what he is doing, but any human is prone to making mistakes.
You're never out of control when you're always out of control.
Tell that to the person he inevitably smashes into
Lol if ur always out of control then ur definitely out of control.. what do u mean by never ??
He meant you can never lose control if you never had control lol

Uhm?? How?
@@kdlatess_-Ooooh. It a reference. Duh🤦🏽♀️, but didn’t Peter Griffin also skateboard in one episode??
Bearded man was a sign of maturity and wisdom...
Yeah very mature and wise to skate in an area where people are constanly walking and in the way. He could potentially fall and send the skateboard flying into someones ankle or them actidently steping on the skateboard because they just walking home or to work minding their own buisness and falling hard. Ive seen a video the other day of exactly that happening to a women casually walking down the street she steps on the board that went rolling to her feet from behind her and smacked the back of her head on the concrete. The momwnt i saw that i now understand all the videos of the grampas or grandmas that would get angry at people skating in a public area that aint specifically made for skating.
@@AntonioTorres-hk1rulmfao shut up square
@@AntonioTorres-hk1ru yap yap yap. 🗣️🗣️
@@Hashishiyah yap yap yap? I dont know if you have a mother or not but if she smacked her head on the pavement coz some other dude what would you do?
@AntonioTorres-hk1ru he's saying being bearded used to be a sign of maturity and wisdom, now you have bearded men doing this. Before you go to disagree with someone it's usually a good idea to use critical thinking to determine a clear understanding of their meaning.
That slide to the button…..next level
Crazy part is he didn't even touch the button.
Nice one man! 😂
Both the frontside and backside powerslides were butter 👌🏼
It’s a super slick surface, as you can probably tell, which makes it both easier and hard. Easier to slide, but harder to slide without slipping out and eating the ground. It takes a lot of practice to be as comfortable with them as he is.
That was the best part to me 🤷🏽♂️
Dude's blind: no need to hit the button
The problem with skaters is that they don't think speeding toward somebody is a problem because "I know what I'm doing". We'll, strangers don't know that "you know what you're doing". They just see some asshole flying towards them and scaring the living shit out of them.
Well, im a skater..
I personally have rules in my head created for safety that run on repeat as long as im rolling around town to specifically prevent the outcome youre talking about (And worse) 🤌
So i guess il defend us a bit..
People have tried to intentionally pull a road kill on me for what i can only assume is YOU assholes spreading shit like "skaters do this", because thats a god damn lie, assholes do this..
(Speeding up towards people on foot)
I can pull a handfull of rats out of my ass that have tried to fuck me over for having ply wood under my feet.
Sum it all up: Your motives are on point, just don't aim that shit towards at the skaters
❤
Not to mention people might panic in that scenario and get in your way. Does not matter how "good" you are.
Moral of the story is that people are dumb.
Got it!
your fun at parties 😂
@@Uniform_ Life is not a party. Normal people should not have to deal with your shit.
Dude that board so angled I didn't expect that sweet recovery
Oh damn I've never gotten this many likes on a comment before 🥰
That’s that super loose truck steeze I hate skating like that but man is it pretty
Why so excited about likes? You're only stating the obvious, people don't love you for that you know?

That was sick but don't bother people in public please you can hurt someone who was minding he's own business, no one deserves that.
yeah but he didn't, hes a pro skater
@@aleksiwilson2295 yea but there are others doing this in public, and ending up hurting others. Skaters have a tendency of thinking that they own public spaces and everyone else should get out of their way.
@@aleksiwilson2295So I should be allowed to take all of the fish out of the oceans because I'm a pro fisherman/fish farmer? Your logic isn't logic-ing.
It people like this dude that get skaters hated and banned.

Think of the Karens! We must protect them!
What I always love about this clip is how the board goes all squirrelly while he’s in the air, but he’s still able to pull it in and ride away
That's funny you say that. Because everybody else who watches this video loves it for a completely different set of reasons. Not because of how impressive it is how he recovered that squirrely board you're talking about. Nobody cares about that except you so thanks for telling us
Are you guys AI
@@barreldreamz7852who pissed in ur coffee
@@barreldreamz7852
Jesus Christ dude, wtf.
It's probably a well loved board and now it has a bit of a tilt-- not an issue because standing on it keeps it rolling mostly straight but if you take the weight away it will start to lean towards one way
I think that's actually why he started sliding; because he had to straighten out and simultaneously avoid the women he nearly hit
Imagine you’re just trying to take the subway and bro just comes out of nowhere speeding towards you.
Better then every other boring day catching the same train 5 days out of 7
instant clothesline
Nah I’ve seen this clip so many times. This guy DEFINES the hippie jump
hippie indeed, by move and by behavior. Bums...
At that speed, the lady standing at the bottom of the escalator could have been straight up killed or severely injured if the board flew out underneath him
because endangering others around you is “cool” for real maybe i’m too old for this, and maybe the skater is too
@@rayg.6808I think they are just selfish manbabies who are incapable of thinking about others.

Why is it that skaters aren’t happy unless they’re damaging someone else’s property.
He didn't damage shit wtf are you on about? Go be a Karen somewhere else Karen
The property is not damaged lmfao. Bootlicker comment.
I mean... He's definitely a dick for doing this while people were around, but no property was damaged in this video lmao. Worst the guy does is the powerslide at the end, and that sound is 100% his stiff but elastic polyurethane wheels being damaged, not the floor.
I feel some them think it's a core part of the sport being "edgy" and full of risks
Simply putting those wheels onto something doesn’t damage property. He didn’t even grind anything
That floor finish crew hates this man 😂
Dangerous tho, gotta respect the public. Sorry to sound like an old man, still impressive tho, but maybe hold off on a second attempt 😅
Get a life
Nah that lady should have heard the skateboard coming its loud asf idk what she was thinking should be paying more attention when your out and about, it could be a car and not a skateboard…

@@nkbd8139 That's the most entitled shit I've ever heard. Yes, people should be aware of their surroundings, but that does not give you the right to put them in danger. This whole thing took place in just a few seconds. It's very likely that she wouldn't be able to get out of the way even given that she heard him coming.

Exaggerating
@@definitelyanormalperson1716 You've clearly never done any tricks on a skateboard.
@@Dobertathon You are absolutely right
@@Dobertathon but that comment was absolutely Exaggerating
@@definitelyanormalperson1716 Barely. There are only about 12.5 million people who "participated in skateboarding" worldwide last year. That already narrows it down to 0.15 percent of people without even factoring in the percent of those people that can actually do this. So we're at 99.84% of people being unable to do this. If we were to consider that a fairly large majority of those people can't do even an ollie, let's be generous and say 60%, that puts it at 99.94%. Since there really isn't any statistics or anything you can find for hippie jumps, and the fact that it's a fairly niche trick, let's just say 30% of skateboarders can do one. That puts it at 99.982% of people being unable to do this. And that's a LOT more people than the actual number, but since we can't really determine the exact amount, we're stuck with this. The OP is correct.

I love this hippie jump!
Right into the elevator. So clean
Bro definitely had to respawn 50 times for that attempt 😂

By putting others in harms way for your own pleasure. Same reason people get mad when people speed in their cars

That catch was insane
no way bro did a power slide mid hippy jump💀
Niiiiice, I'm not a skater but I know this is class
You know he immediately pressed that button to avoid an awkward elevator conversation afterward.
That’s the best fare evasion ever
Dude glided like a skate 3 character
The speed is wild... It literally slides under the gate
This never gets old
Abiding by simple societal rules and behaving like an adult is really underrated these days. There are dedicated spaces for that kind of stuff. A subway station is not one of them.
