    Actually you don't want to let go of the red handle after pushing forward. That is how a Rug Doctor works. You were not demonstrating a Rug Doctor so you should be mindful of giving the correct instructions for this particular carpet cleaner.
    With this machine you should squeeze the trigger and push it forward and then bring it back towards you to scrub. You should only release the trigger and move forward and back when you need to remove the dirty water and cleanser.
    It actually operates a bit more like a vacuum cleaner than a Rug Doctor does. The brush heads will only spin when the handle is moved from the upright position. You can use it to clean in both a forward and backward motion.
    Good job!

    Thanks! Yes just bought one, Cant wait / was wondering what model are u using for your regular vacuum? I almost bought on similar to the one U were holding in the video. Look like u we’re holding a portable vacuum. Or if u know a better model, I appreciate it.

    Does the brush roll still spin when the hose is connected and being used?

    • @TopHomeowner
      @TopHomeowner  Před 4 lety +1

      The brushes only spin when the handle is lowered so as long as it's upright, they won't turn. Hope this helps!

      It is a high quality machine, they are available to rent from places like Lowe's. If you have concerns I would recommend renting it to try it out first.

    Beware DO NOT fill with hot tap water, only warm water and write this on the tank with a sharpie pen - I just had to replace a part because of hot water - see this link

    Good review, except I would not recommend running the detergent through the machine. Instead, get a small garden sprayer and soak your carpet with the detergent and some water. Then rinse with hot water only using the machine. The results will be better. You wouldn't wash your hands with soap and water, then rinse with soap and water...
