  • Hi everyone, please check below for the link to the exact model of carpet cleaner that I am reviewing and more info.
    Link to the Bissell BigGreen Commercial carpet cleaner: amzn.to/2HPwdUW
    The one we are replacing is from the ProHeat Pet line. Our exact model is no longer sold but they have other versions out. You can get a ProHeat Pet for around $250 or less. Our ProHeat Pet model worked well for us except that we were not impressed with the "heat" as it did not really heat the water. It really only served to keep it warm. I think the Big Green is really good with holding warmth since the tank is larger and acts as a heat sink. This link takes you to current ProHeat models: amzn.to/2u6TxMa
    The main difference between this model BigGreen (commercial) and the old model BigGreen (professional) is that this model has 2 motors and the power cord detaches. One thing I like about the detachable power cord is that it can serve as an extension cord for other uses in addition to simply a power cord for the BigGreen.
    The upholstery hose is 10 feet long. Haven't tried it yet. Stay tuned...
    One tank cleaned 100 sq ft of carpet for me. I did go over some areas more than once so it might actually go farther if you do not need to pass by more then once. I am very pleased with how much gunk came out of the carpet. At the end of the video, you can see how dirty the water was! There was even some sand in the bottom so the machine really has great suction.
    In case you were wondering about the scent of the Bissell Big Green Complete formula, it has a light scent and smells like a clean cotton fragrance.
    Our new puppy, Mona is a 10 week old German Shepherd! Between a dog, a cat and 4 kids, we make carpets messy! We needed to replace our old carpet cleaner that broke months ago. We decided on the Big Green Commercial so we wouldn't have to rent anymore.

    For anyone interested in this cleaner, I suggest you go for the 86t3 model. It's the "home" version but is identical in all parts except it has a black cord instead of the yellow cord and it includes the hose and upholstery cleaning head with it. Also it has a 5 year warranty where the "commercial" BG10 only has a 1 year warranty and have to pay extra for the hose and upholstery head.
    Again, it's identical in every way besides the cord is black and not detachable. And better warranty because intended for home use not business.

      The BG10 has a thicker housing than the 86T3 and according to Bissell has heavier duty bristles. They share a motor and many features, but are not the same

      @@herbjankowsky3463 This is what I'm wondering. I KNOW I want to get the Big Green, but there's a substantial price difference between the commercial model and the Professional residential model. But if they both have the same motor and performance, than I can't really justify spending the extra money on the commercial model just because it has a detachable cord... which means nothing to me. Like I'm in Ontario, Canada and as of today (Nov. 3.2020), I'm seeing the Big Green 86T3 on Amazon for $500 and the BG10 is going for $1,400. That's about a $900 difference!! So, if I'm gonna spend $900 more for the commercial model, it had better be a far more superior machine than the 86T3 in the performance department!

      @@zephyr332 If you are going to use the machine as a residential cleaner, then get the 86T3. I use the 86T3 for my home and it works ( cleans) every bit as good as the BG10. Why spend more if you don't have to? The yellow cord interchangeability of the BG10 model is nice to have when you are cleaning the larger areas of commercial offices. However, The black 25 ft cord that comes with the professional 86T3 model is more than adequate for most residential homes.

    I would suggest doing a second pass now with just plain water. It rinses out the cleaner and pulls out more dirt. Just a thought Bonnie. Thank you for inviting me into your home LOL

    • @Jefferdaughter
      @Jefferdaughter Před 5 lety +5

      Good advice! Better yet, add some vinegar to the water for the second pass. Vinegar helps rinse the detergent in the carpet cleaning solution more thoroughly.

    I think what they mean by 2 motors is that it has the vacuum motor, and the brush motor. It is the same as the Professional model when it comes to that.

    DO NOT BUY THE BIG10 IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE IT FOR HOME USE. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IN THIS MODEL and the 86T3 MACHINE IS THE WARRANTY and you automatically get the hose with the 86T3. You pay a bigger price to use it commercially or to rent it out. I asked Bissell and compared the parts lists and they are the same.

    • @GoodEarthSpa
      @GoodEarthSpa  Před 4 lety +1

      There is a difference in the warranty though. BG10 has a better warranty, so read through those details before you buy. I've had multiple warranty claims with Bissell (not for the Big Green), and the warranty is important for me.

    • @herbjankowsky3463

      The BG10 has a thicker Plastic housing than the 86T3 as it is intended for Commercial/rental use. It is designed to handle more abuse than the 86T3. The 86T3 is not some magical deal. There is a reason why they give you "more" for less
